Spurs re-assigned C Aron Baynes to the Austin Toros of the D-League.

Perhaps this is a sign that Tim Duncan will be playing on Saturday against the Hawks. The Spurs have three full days off after that one, so Baynes can get some work in the minors.

Brandan Wright (groin) is out for Friday night against the Nuggets.

After his injury on Saturday, Wright will be missing his third game. There is no timetable for a return, but there hasn't been much information to suggest he'll be back in his next handful of games. Deyonta Davis is coming off a terrific 14-point game on Wednesday and could be a sneaky stream or DFS punt with 13-20 minutes.

Nicolas Batum (ulnar nerve contusion) traveled with the team to Cleveland and is listed as questionable for Friday.

This is good news that he's not staying behind for further evaluation. It's a very specific diagnosis for a nerve in his elbow and hopefully it's not affecting the feeling in his arm. Batum reportedly feels this new injury isn't as bad as his left elbow injury that kept him out for six weeks, which makes sense because it didn't look bad in the second quarter on Wednesday. If Batum can't go, Jeremy Lamb would be busy in the starting lineup. Expect Batum to be a game-time call for the 8:00 EST start.

Lonzo Ball made 4-of-8 from the field for 11 points during a 113-102 loss to the Kings on Wednesday, adding seven rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

He's getting killed on social media for his awful shooting percentages, but he's actually been decent on the road. In his eight road games, he has a sub-par 45.8 TS%, but that plummets to a historically bad 30.6 TS% when he's at Staples Center. He did also miss both of his free throws to drop him to 42.9 percent from the charity stripe on the season -- that's worse than Dwight Howard, Andre Drummond or any free throw percentage qualifier. The good news is he's taking a step in the right direction, but he has a very deep hole to climb out of to be a reliable fantasy asset.
Nov 23 - 1:59 AM

Julius Randle scored 14 points with eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 29 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday.

The Kings were feeding Zach Randolph and that helps explain why Randle saw more run. Coach Luke Walton said he wanted to pick up the pace with Randle against Z-Bo and Brook Lopez got burned in the first quarter. While we did expect Randle to play some more power forward after Larry Nance Jr. (hand) went down, it didn't really happen. In the last 11 games, Randle played just 16 minutes next to Brook Lopez and 243 minutes without him. Randle may not take a hit with Nance back next week.
Nov 23 - 1:50 AM

Harrison Barnes hit a 30-foot jumper at the buzzer to win 95-94 at Memphis on Wednesday, finishing with 22 points, nine rebounds, one assist and that 3-pointer.

It's Harry B's first game-winning shot at the buzzer in his career (video in link below). Barnes is starting to trend up as a scorer with more attempts from the line, big minutes and also the Mavs playing in closer games. The Mavs are still dead last in the Western Conference and they'll get the Thunder and Spurs in their next two, so hopefully they can keep it close again after this win and the OT loss to the Celtics on Monday.

Willie Cauley-Stein scored a season-high 26 points on Wednesday, making 10-of-14 FGs and 6-of-8 FTs with six rebounds, two steals and one assist in 28 minutes.

WCS's previous season-high of 22 points came last Friday and he's trending up in a hurry, to the delight of owners who've stuck with him despite the early-season struggles. The Lakers didn't have an answer for him down low tonight, with all of his makes coming in the restricted area, and it was nice to see him attacking that weakness. Cauley-Stein's next dud could be right around the corner, but this is a timely reminder of his upside -- don't hesitate to grab him if you still can.
Nov 23 - 1:19 AM

Khris Middleton dropped 40 points on 14-of-26 shots in Wednesday's overtime win over the Suns, hitting 9-of-11 free throws with nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and three triples in 46 minutes.

Middleton has a 33.1 usage rate this season with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) off the floor compared to 22.0 with him on, so it’s no surprise that he had a monster game against the non-existent defense of the Suns. Giannis is expected back on Saturday vs. the Jazz, but if you play DFS, keep this game in mind for Middleton if the Greek Freak misses another contest this season.
Nov 23 - 12:36 AM

Eric Bledsoe scored a season-high 30 points against his former Suns in a 113-107 overtime win on Wednesday, hitting 11-of-26 shots and 6-of-13 free throws with seven assists, six rebounds, two steals and two triples in 45 minutes.

Bledsoe is off to a slow start with his new team, but there's nothing like a "revenge game" to get the juices flowing. "I’m with a talented group of guys who can also make plays," Bledsoe said of his new teammates. "So I’ve got to try to find my game a little bit. It takes time." Bledsoe enjoyed a nice bump in usage with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) resting, and while his value will trend back down after this massive line, he still has enough upside to flirt with early- to mid-round value once his shot starts falling.
Nov 23 - 12:30 AM

Chris Paul made 8-of-11 from the field for 23 points during an easy 125-95 win over the Nuggets on Wednesday, adding two rebounds, 12 assists, three steals and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

He did play in the fourth quarter because the Rockets did want him to get to 28 minutes. There seems to be a pretty clear plan here on CP3 with 21 minutes on Thursday, 24 on Saturday and 28 today. In the last three games, CP3 has logged 47 minutes next to James Harden, and he's actually dominated with per-36 averages of 21.6 points, 5.4 boards, 10.1 dimes, 3.1 steals and 3.1 treys -- his numbers are even better without Harden over 26 minutes. The Rockets are a fantasy factor and both guys should be elite fantasy assets.
Nov 22 - 11:59 PM

Greg Monroe had a nice revenge game vs. the Bucks on Wednesday, setting season-highs in points (22) and rebounds (15) with one assist and one block in 32 minutes.

Tyson Chandler (illness) returned to the starting lineup, but in a surprising move for a rebuilding team, the Suns deployed Monroe as the backup center over Alex Len (DNP-CD) — there’s a chance the Suns played him over Len to get some revenge on his former team as well. The Suns have been showcasing Monroe for a trade, but if they can’t salvage what little trade value he has, he’ll likely be bought out at some point. In the meantime, look at Monroe as a short-term source of points and rebounds as long as he stays ahead of Len.
Nov 22 - 11:58 PM

Alex Len picked up a DNP-CD in Wednesday's 113-107 overtime loss to the Bucks.

Tyson Chandler (illness) was back in action and started, but the Suns deployed Greg Monroe as his backup over Len. That won’t always be the case because the Suns are showcasing both Chandler and Monroe for a potential trade, and the veterans are buyout candidates as well. Until this situation improves, Len may have just been demoted to a stash in fantasy leagues.
