Spurs re-assigned C Aron Baynes to the Austin Toros of the D-League.

Perhaps this is a sign that Tim Duncan will be playing on Saturday against the Hawks. The Spurs have three full days off after that one, so Baynes can get some work in the minors.

Patrick Beverley (hamstring) expects to play vs. the Knicks on Monday.

Beverley tweaked his hamstring while running after a loose rebound in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game. He briefly returned but later admitted that it was smarter to "play it safe," to avoid turning a minor tweak into a serious injury. Fantasy owners should anticipate having Bev available while checking for confirmation on Monday. He finished Saturday with 20 points, a career-high six 3-pointers, five rebounds and two steals.
Nov 22 - 11:36 PM

Elfrid Payton had his best game as a pro on Saturday against the Heat with nine points, three rebounds, four assists and five steals in 22 minutes.

He made 4-of-6 from the field, but did turn the ball over three times and only made one of his four free throw attempts. Payton was everywhere tonight and he showed great instincts in getting the passing lanes. He is also coming off a 16-point game on Friday, so this game is doubly impressive. His upside is still severely capped and the chances of him being a top-100 guy are very slim, but you can give him a look if you want.
Nov 22 - 11:33 PM

Brandan Wright hit 6-of-7 shots (as usual) and racked up 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes on Saturday.

Wright is a beast right now and a very economical center in daily leagues. Despite coming off the bench and getting just 19.4 minutes per game, Wright has scored in double figures in seven straight games and came into this one averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks over his last five. Those numbers are going up and he’s shooting it lights out this season, and hitting 31-of-39 shots over his last six games. If starter Tyson Chandler ever gets hurt, look out.
Nov 22 - 11:31 PM

Mo Williams continued his strong play as the Wolves' starting PG on Saturday, handing out 12 assists with 11 points on 5-of-16 shooting in 35 minutes.

The field goal percentage wasn't great, but Mo chipped in a 3-pointer and he's really found a groove since overtaking Zach LaVine for the starting job in Ricky Rubio's absence. He's averaging 13.3 points, 1.7 triples, 1.8 rebounds and 9.7 assists in the past three games. LaVine had just five points in 13 minutes off the bench and it looks like Williams will be a reliable fantasy PG until Rubio returns, which won't be until late December at the earliest.
Nov 22 - 11:29 PM

Ben McLemore set a new season-high on Saturday with 22 points, making 9-of-17 shots including four 3-pointers in 41 minutes of action vs. the Wolves.

The Kings blew a few big leads this week, but they took control of tonight's game in the second half and didn't let go. McLemore is shooting a solid 44.3 percent from the field with copious 3-pointers, but his inconsistency and lack of supporting stats takes a big bite out of his 8-cat/9-cat value.
Nov 22 - 11:27 PM

Nikola Vucevic went off for a career-high 33 points against the Heat on Saturday with 17 boards, one assist and one block in 34 minutes.

He cleaned the glass with 11 boards on the offensive end. The Magic went to him early and often as the focal point of their offense. Vucevic's post presence has really improved on both ends of the court and he just needs to add some blocks to be a fantasy monster. Obviously, his fantasy owners are not complaining.
Nov 22 - 11:27 PM

Anthony Bennett moved into the Wolves' starting lineup on Saturday, posting 10 points, six boards, two assists, one steal and two blocks at PF alongside Gorgui Dieng.

Bennett hit 5-of-11 shots and didn't turn the ball over in 30 minutes, which would likely have earned him another start on Wednesday if Thaddeus Young (personal) wasn't expected back in the lineup. Owners in 12-team leagues can leave Bennett on the waiver wire for now, but keep this performance in mind as the season progresses.
Nov 22 - 11:24 PM

Gerald Green caught fire against the Pacers on Saturday with 23 points, three rebounds, two assists and five 3-pointers on 8-of-15 from the field in 22 minutes.

He had the worst year of his career in Indiana in 2012-13 and the Pacers basically just threw him in for their deal to acquire Luis Scola last season, but he showed them a thing or two tonight. Green is still going to have his minutes in check, but nights like these make him fun to own. On the other hand, he'll have his 5-point nights quite often too.
Nov 22 - 10:54 PM

Lou Williams was unstoppable vs. the Cavs on Saturday, setting a new career-high with 36 points (9-of-19 FGs, 15-of-15 FTs) on Saturday, adding three 3-pointers, four rebounds and three steals in just 29 minutes.

He made 9-of-9 free throws in his first nine minutes alone, and this is an extreme example of the instant offense that Toronto was hoping he'd provide when they traded for him this summer. His 18-20 minute bench role isn't well-suited to sustainable fantasy value, unfortunately, and he's likely to remain an unsteady option in 12-team leagues.
Nov 22 - 10:49 PM

Kyrie Irving finished with 21 points, three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two blocks in a tough loss vs. the visiting Raptors on Saturday.

The Cavs shot 36.0 percent in their lowest-scoring game of the year on Friday, and they were stuck at 43.2 percent tonight, including a 3-of-16 mark from downtown. Cavs coach David Blatt said after the game that he's considering a change to the starting lineup, which would inevitably send either Shawn Marion or Anderson Varejao to the bench. Owners scouring the waiver wire for value should keep a close eye on the Cavs' rotations going forward.
Nov 22 - 10:37 PM

The Pelicans have confirmed that Eric Gordon separated his left shoulder during Saturday's game.

The type of separation will determine how long Gordon will miss, but his timetable will likely be measured in weeks or months, rather than days. Austin Rivers started the second half at SG and guys like Jimmer Fredette, Darius Miller and Russ Smith could be thrust into bigger roles for however long Gordon is sidelined. Coach Monty Williams could also shift Tyreke Evans to SG and move John Salmons or Luke Babbitt into the SF job, but the fallout is of much greater interest in deep leagues than standard 12-team formats. Stay tuned.
