Nick Young hit 6-of-9 shots and three more 3-pointers for 19 points, three rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench.

He's back. He had 18 points and two treys on Tuesday and has hit double figures in scoring in three straight games. Damien Wilkins is really struggling now and missed all seven of his shots in 23 minutes, and dropping Wilkins for Young makes sense. Dorell Wright added 15 points and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes off the bench, and also looks like a better option than the struggling Wilkins.

Wizards coach Scott Brooks said that the starting SF position is "up for grabs."

While Otto Porter is the heavy favorite to start, Brooks isn't just going to hand him the job with Kelly Oubre ready to take on a larger role. Brooks has said in the past that he's a "big believer" in Porter, so this could simply just be motivation. Porter is still a solid mid-round pick after averaging 11.6 points, 5.2 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 triples last season.

Josh Richardson (right MCL) had his knee brace removed and will be able to do light court work at training camp.

This is wonderful news for the second-year SG and it sounds like his recovery is on schedule. His previous timetable had him returning around the season opener, but it would be understandable if the Heat proceed with caution. Once healthy, Richardson should be the second best fantasy option in Miami's backcourt behind Goran Dragic.

John Wall (knee) will be limited when training camp begins on Tuesday.

The All-Star PG has recently started playing some 3-on-3, but coach Scott Brooks said the team is in "no rush" to bring him back. The Wizards haven't provided a timetable, but previous reports indicated that Wall is hopeful to be ready for the season opener. With that said, Brooks wouldn't even commit to Wall playing in the preseason. Coming off two knee surgeries, fantasy owners may want to let him slide in drafts a bit.

Myles Turner was diagnosed with a concussion after taking an elbow to the head during a workout this week.

Turner is currently in the NBA's concussion protocol and it's not clear when he will be able to return. There's plenty of time for Turner to recover, so this shouldn't impact his value in fantasy drafts. Turner is a breakout candidate after averaging 10.3 points with 6.4 boards and 3.3 blocks during the playoffs last season.

Heat president Pat Riley said on Monday that Chris Bosh's career with the Heat is over.

"I think Chris is still open-minded. But we are not working toward his return," Riley said. "We feel that, based on the last exam, that his Heat career is probably over." When Riley was asked if Bosh's NBA was over, he simply said that it's "up to him." The Heat sound like they are ready to move on and will have to rebuild their roster around Hassan Whiteside, Justise Winslow, Goran Dragic and Josh Richardson. While Bosh remains hopeful to play in the NBA again, fantasy owners shouldn't burn a draft pick on him until we hear some good news.

A detective from the LAPD has confirmed that there is an active criminal investigation against Derrick Rose.

The original lawsuit was civil and just for money, but this latest report means that Rose could be in serious trouble. Rose’s attorney Mark Baute had previously alleged that Bradan Anand (victim's attorney) was lying about an active criminal investigation in order to extort a settlement from Rose, but that's not the case. Rose will be speaking at the Knicks' media day on Monday, so we should hear more details soon. The trial will begin on Oct. 4, meaning Rose could miss several preseason games if he doesn't settle the suit.

Paul Pierce announced on Monday that he will play one more season.

"Just like any difficult decision, I think you’ve got to be at peace with yourself," Pierce said. "I’m at peace with retiring, but I’ve got one more ride left. One more season. One more opportunity." Pierce added that he likes the Clippers' chances of competing for a championship, but it's safe to say that his role will be pretty limited in his 19th and final season. Last year, Pierce played 68 games with averages of 6.1 points, 2.7 boards, 1.0 assists and 1.1 triples, so he's not worth targeting in fantasy leagues.

Nerlens Noel said on Sunday that the 76ers' "situation...with three starting centers" is "silly."

Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo admitted this summer that he is "absolutely not" comfortable with the logjam caused by Noel, Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid all vying for minutes. "I know I was shopped [in trades this offseason]," Noel said. "I would have figured that management would be able to get something done this summer." The Sixers' obvious need to unload a big man leaves them in a negative position, trade-wise, but it seems inevitable that one of their centers will finish the season in another jersey.

Anthony Davis (knee surgery) thinks that he is on track to play in the season opener.

"Right now, I think I'm heading in the right direction toward getting there," Davis said on Saturday. "Today everything felt great. I feel like I'm more explosive than what I was and more powerful." He did "virtually" everything in the Pelicans first practice, but his workload will continue to be monitored during the preseason. His durability concerns aren't a secret, but his sheer upside means he won't fall out of the first round of fantasy drafts.

Andre Drummond said he's going to win the rebounding crown again this season.

Drummond also said he's "shed about 20 pounds" this summer. He's easily the favorite to finish first in boards again with his league-leading 14.8 boards per game last year. What's more, he led the NBA in boards per game in all but one month last year -- DeAndre Jordan was first in January. Nobody will question Drummond on the glass, but the 23-year-old big man really needs to improve on his shooting.

Goran Dragic believes he is "ready" to play a leading role for the Heat.

Ready or not, it's coming his way with Chris Bosh (blood clots) out indefinitely and Dwayne Wade now wearing a Bulls uniform. "I already felt great last year in the middle of the season, and even this year I’m in way better than shape than I was last year," Dragic said. "I was playing all summer. I’m ready. I need to take care of a couple things — try to be more aggressive, try to score and try to get everybody else involved. I already started or felt like that last season in the playoffs. For me, nothing is going to change, basically. I need to be myself and play my game." After being somewhat of a fantasy letdown last year, Dragic is shaping up to be a draft day bargain and serious bounce-back candidate this time around.
