Knicks sign G/F Quentin Richardson for the remainder of the season.

Richardson was waived in October by Orlando and hasn't drawn much interest since that time. He'll add a perimeter threat to the end of the Knicks bench, but it's unknown what kind of game shape he's currently in.

John Wall scored a playoff career-high 42 points during a series-clinching 115-99 win over the Hawks on Friday, adding one rebound, eight assists, four steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 44 minutes.

After all the smack talk in this series, Wall was pumped to get the win on the Hawks' floor. He was waving goodbye to the fans and he looked to be talking smack to Atlanta Falcons All-Pro receiver Julio Jones in the front row. Wall is playing extremely well and basically did whatever he wanted in a favorable matchup. Moving forward, he actually did struggle against the Celtics, averaging 17.8 points, 8.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.5 treys. If he plays like he has lately, he'll still be unguardable.
Apr 28 - 11:01 PM

Paul Millsap scored 31 points with 10 rebounds, seven assists, one block, four steals, six turnovers and one 3-pointer in 46 minutes during a season-ending 115-99 loss to the Wizards on Friday.

After a down regular season, Millsap really came through against the Wizards, but he didn't get enough help in the frontcorut. In the six games, he averaged 24.3 points, 9.3 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.5 treys. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer and will be getting a lot of interest in the market. Millsap is already 32, so teams signing him to four years likely will not enjoy the last year of that contract.
Apr 28 - 10:37 PM

Austin Rivers is starting over Mo Speights in Game 6 against the Jazz on Friday.

Coach Doc Rivers said he was going to start either Paul Pierce or Speights, but he'll go with his son. This almost certainly means Rivers will see much more than his 18 minutes in Game 5, and he could even get into the 30s. The Clippers will do their best to push the pace here and get Utah out of their halfcourt rhythm on both ends.
Apr 28 - 9:58 PM

Jason Smith (left calf) will play against the Hawks on Friday.

He got some shots up pre-game and is calf contusion doesn't sound like it'll affect him too much. Considering how Markieff Morris has picked up five fouls in each of the last four games, this is big for the Wizards. Smith is getting some minutes at the five and he's also done really well next to the other non-Morris starters. Morris' upside in DFS takes a hit here, but he's still in play in hopes he bounces back. Smith is still a risky DFS play, unless you want to bet against Morris.

Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points during a series-clinching 103-96 win over the Grizzlies on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes.

As you might expect, he got some serious praise after this win. Coach Gregg Popovich called Kawhi the best player in the NBA, and coach David Fizdale also talked about Robot Kawhi. "He actually just told me he does bleed antifreeze. He admitted to it. We're getting him checked out," Fizdale said. Moving to the next round, Leonard was already above average against the Rockets and was below average against Memphis during the regular season, so Playoff Kawhi could be in for some massive output in this series. Plus, Leonard only had an 87.9 pace against the Grizzlies in this series, which is nowhere near the 98.4 pace he had against the Rockets this season. There's a very good chance he can increase his 2017 playoff averages of 31.2 points, 6.0 boards, 3.8 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.3 treys.
Apr 28 - 1:02 AM

Tony Parker made 11-of-14 from the field for 27 points with two rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

It was classic Parker. He made all four free throws to give him an 85.7 true shooting percentage, including three field goal makes in the final two minutes to help the Spurs advance. Excluding his goose egg in Game 3, Parker scored at least 15 points in the other five games and was able to mix in all sorts of scoring. Against Houston, Parker was above his average in scoring with 14.3 points per game, so maybe he can keep this impressive run going. Game 1 is on Monday.
Apr 28 - 12:52 AM

Mike Conley scored 26 points during a season-ending 103-96 loss to the Spurs on Thursday, adding two rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 45 minutes.

Even in a loss, Conley's star shined as bright as ever during this series. Coach David Fizdale said he would open up Conley's game as a scorer and he did just that, averaging 24.7 points per game in efficient fashion. After Conley turned in top-15 value in fantasy during the 2017 portion of the regular season, he'll enter his age-30 season with a ton of momentum after an injury-plagued run in his previous two seasons.
Apr 28 - 12:40 AM

Vince Carter scored 12 points in 32 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday, adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers.

He had the unenviable task of guarding Kawhi Leonard for some key minutes and had a big steal against him. Carter is 40 years old, but he showed he still has plenty left in the tank. Carter is a first-ballot Hall of Fame player as one of the league's best players over the last two decades.
Apr 28 - 12:33 AM

DeMar DeRozan scored 32 points in a series-clinching 92-89 win over the Bucks on Thursday, adding four rebounds, three assists, five steals and three turnovers in 40 minutes.

After the Raptors looked to have it locked up with a 25-point lead, they actually blew it and were trailing due to a 20-3 Bucks run. The Raptors put together a 9-0 run after that and were able to ice this game in the final minute. DeRozan went 8-of-9 from the line while the Bucks went just 18-of-28 from the line as a team. Moving on, DeRozan did only score 23.0 points per game against the Cavs in the postseason last year, but he increased that to 29.7 during his three games against them this season. Considering the massive problems on defense for the Cavs, DeRozan could be feasting.
Apr 27 - 10:54 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points in a season-ending 92-89 loss to the Raptors on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks, one 3-pointer and three turnovers in 47 minutes.

He was extremely aggressive early in this game, going 5-of-5 from the field with all of those shots coming in the paint. The Bucks offense was not very successful outside of the Giannis drives in the first half, making just 3-of-17 outside of the paint in the first 24 minutes. Antetokounmpo also only checked out with 6:26 left in the second, sat out for 81 seconds, and played the rest of the game. He reached superstardom this season and he'll be in the mix for the No. 1 pick in drafts next year. He's still just 22, so he could get even better. Let your imagination run wild with how good he could be.
Apr 27 - 10:21 PM

Jamal Murray (groin) had successful surgery to repair core muscle-related injuries.

The surgery was performed on Thursday in Philadelphia and general manager Tim Connelly said it was for a "couple" injuries. Murray will resume basketball related activities this summer and is expected to be at full strength when the Nuggets open training camp this fall. There is no word on if Murray will be at Summer League, but it's possible he won't be all the way back.
