Joakim Noah (foot) anticipates playing in Game 2 despite his plantar fasciitis.

"Hell yeah I'm going to be out there," he said. "I didn't move great but I think it will get better. I just want to help the team as much as I can." Noah limped through just 13 minutes on Saturday and is expected to be limited for at least the duration of the first round.

Trey Burke scored a season-high 26 points on Thursday, knocking down 12-of-22 shots with two 3-pointers, six assists, four rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover in 30 minutes.

It looks like Jarrett Jack might be out of the rotation for good, which leaves Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay, Frank Ntilikina and Courtney Lee to handle the backcourt. Mudiay played 23 minutes as a starter tonight, while Ntilikina logged 30 minutes, and the most encouraging sign is that New York went with a lot of two-PG lineups. This will likely be the high-water mark for his fantasy value all season, and we're not overreacting to one big game vs. a poor Magic defense, but deep-league owners can consider him as a speculative add.

Nikola Vucevic (hand) made his long-awaited return on Thursday, scoring 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting with two 3-pointers, six rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist in 24 minutes.

Vuc was on a minute-limit tonight but patient owners must be delighted with the initial returns. The Magic are among the teams likely tanking for draft-lottery position, which could pose a threat to Vuc's role down the stretch, but for now his starting gig and minutes look safe. He'll get a day to rest before squaring off vs. Joel Embiid in Philly on Saturday.
Feb 22 - 9:57 PM

Aaron Gordon (hip) returned to action on Thursday with nine points on 3-of-9 shooting, five rebounds, five assists, two 3-pointers and one block.

Gordon played 25 minutes and might be limited for a few more games, but it's encouraging that the All-Star break was enough for him to fully recover. He bumped Mario Hezonja to the bench and should reclaim his usual 32+ minutes before long. Now owners just have to hope he regains his shooting touch -- his FG percentage has dropped every month this season, to a low of 35.4% in January.
Feb 22 - 9:54 PM

Kemba Walker scored 31 points with seven assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Nets on Thursday.

Coach Steve Clifford did use Michael Carter-Williams as a secondary ball-handler, so maybe the Hornets are slightly trying to dial back Walker's workload. Either way, he's a capable off-ball player, he did get to 35 minutes and he'll be a fantasy stud as long as he's in the lineup.
Feb 22 - 9:50 PM

Jonathon Simmons rolled his right ankle on Thursday, but he returned to finish with 12 points (5-of-10 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), five assists and four rebounds in 30 minutes.

Simmons' ankle has been a nagging issue since Feb. 6, so it's discouraging to see him aggravate the injury in the first game after the break. He's as tough as they come and did return after spending some time in the locker room, fortunately, but as a precaution we'll list him as questionable for Saturday's road game. Mario Hezonja and Wesley Iwundu stand to gain the most if Simmons misses any time.
Feb 22 - 9:49 PM

D'Angelo Russell made his first start of 2018 during a 111-96 loss to the Hornets on Thursday, scoring 19 points with four rebounds, five assists, one block and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Besides Russell trying to make plays that weren't there, it was about all you could ask in his first game after the break. He was very aggressive -- almost to a fault -- and he was able to drive past defenders throughout the game. Russell's minutes limit looks to be basically gone right now, but he still really needs to lock in to keep his mistakes down. He'll have a decent ceiling most nights.
Feb 22 - 9:42 PM

Paul Zipser (left foot pain) will not return on Thursday against the 76ers.

He doesn't have a history of foot injuries, but getting ruled out isn't a great sign. The Bulls were expected to give him more minutes going forward, but now that playing time could go to Denzel Valentine and David Nwaba.
Feb 22 - 9:36 PM

Justin Jackson, Zach Randolph, Willie Cauley-Stein, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Garrett Temple will start against the Thunder on Thursday.

The Kings won't be starting Frank Mason III in his return tonight and the minutes restriction could be why. Temple could find himself getting more consistent minutes, but the Kings do have a lot of options they can use 1-3. He's more of a spot-start player to use in deep leagues when you know he'll be out there.
Feb 22 - 9:30 PM

Milos Teodosic will start vs. the Warriors on Thursday.

Avery Bradley (athletic pubalgia) is unavailable, so Teodosic will start alongside Austin Rivers in the backcourt. Anyone holding onto him might as well get him in their active lineups, and we're expecting Steph Curry to have a field day offensively.
Feb 22 - 9:18 PM

Dante Cunningham went off in the second unit with a season-high 22 points, adding 12 rebounds, four assists, one block and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

That scoring output doubled his previous best this season and it was his first double-double of the year, too. Cunningham is best known in fantasy for taking minutes away from younger prospects and it's certainly possible he'll do that in Brooklyn. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has a good chance to play on Monday, so that would likely affect Cunningham's playing time more than anyone else. If you wanted to add him in a deep league, hopefully you're not dropping anything another owner may want.
Feb 22 - 9:17 PM

Josh Huestis will start on Thursday vs. Sacramento.

The Thunder go with a lengthly lineup here, but this could have a little to do with Alex Abrines' hip injury from last week. Huestis likely won't be getting many shots and he's probably looking at around 20-24 minutes, so he's not going to have much fantasy value. There's a chance this lineup could stick, though.
