Marc Gasol will be named Defensive Player of the Year, according to multiple reports.

It's well-deserved for Gasol and a win for those who are a fan of analytics. Gasol's defensive statistics aren't eye-popping by any means, but his presence in the paint and the way he's able to defend can't be understated. He is the Grizzlies' most important player and it's nice to see the big man get recognition in the form of the award.

Brandon Knight (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Friday's game vs. the Trail Blazers.

Knight has missed the past seven games, so if he is able to go, he'll likely have his minutes held in check, as his conditioning is likely not where it needs to be. Owners will need to check back for another update closer to tip-off, but with 13 games being played tonight, Knight is not necessarily a must-start guy in standard leagues. Stay tuned.

Jrue Holiday (leg) still has not been able to practice, and he remains without an official timetable to return.

"I’m just trying to take it slow, don’t want to re-aggravate it. Obviously last time I tried to do a little bit more, it flared up on me," said Holiday. "I think the doctor kind of has a timetable, which they know about. I don’t really know. I don’t ask questions, because I might try to test the waters a little bit too soon. So I just do what they tell me." With just 11 games remaining for the Pelicans, and no clear return date in sight, Holiday belongs on the waiver wire in all re-draft leagues.
Mar 27 - 1:44 PM

Dennis Schroder will slide into the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. Miami with Jeff Teague (ankle) unavailable.

We've seen this movie before, and basically every time Schroder starts, he's an excellent guy to target in daily leagues. Through seven starts this season Schroder has compiled averages of 14.0 points, 7.4 assists, and 0.9 steals per game. With a favorable matchup against Miami tonight, he's a great, low-budget play in daily leagues.
Mar 27 - 1:32 PM

Bulls' head coach Tom Thibodeau said that Derrick Rose (knee) will likely be cleared for contact by next week.

Rose has been doing some non-contact work for a little over a week now, and he's been making steady progress without experiencing any setbacks, which is welcome news for a guy who has spent much of the past three years on the sidelines. It appears he's going to make it back in time for the playoffs, but his fantasy season is essentially kaput, and he belongs on the waiver wire in nearly all re-draft leagues.
Mar 27 - 1:21 PM

Steve Kerr said he doesn't plan to rest anyone for Friday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Andrew Bogut and Andre Iguodala are usually the guys in danger of the random rest day, but owners can feel confident plugging those guys into their active rosters tonight.
Mar 27 - 1:12 PM

Kyle Lowry (back) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

Lowry has said that he won't rush a return, but the Raptors have not given any clear timeline on when he might be able to return to action. While he's out, Greivis Vasquez will continue to start at point guard, with Lou Williams and DeMar DeRozan being tasked with some more responsibilities on offense. We'll be considering him questionable for Monday's game vs. the Rockets, stay tuned.
Mar 27 - 12:48 PM

With Dwyane Wade (knee) not likely to play Friday vs. the Hawks, Mario Chalmers looks like he'll get another game with the starting unit.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra hinted that he'll go with the same starting lineup from Wednesday which featured Goran Dragic, Mario Chalmers, Luol Deng, Henry Walker, and Udonis Haslem. Chalmers will see a boost in value as a starter, and he'll have a favorable matchup against the Hawks, so he's someone to consider in daily leagues.
Mar 27 - 12:46 PM

Jeff Teague (tender ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Heat.

Head coach Mike Budenholder would not say whether Teague would miss any additional time with the ankle injury, but we'll be considering him questionable for Saturday's game against the Hornets. With Teague out, Dennis Schroder will slide back into the starting lineup, and he looks like a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues tonight with a favorable matchup against Miami.
Mar 27 - 12:30 PM

Bradley Beal (ankle) went through shootaround, but he remains questionable for Friday's game vs. Charlotte.

Beal said it's possible that he plays tonight, but he wants to go through pre-game warmups before making an official decision. It sounds like Beal may be headed for the dreaded game-time decision, so owners will need to check back for an update on his status closer to tip-off. If he sits, Rasual Butler, Otto Porter, and Martell Webster would split his minutes. Stay tuned.
Mar 27 - 12:21 PM

Carlos Boozer and Jordan Hill will not play Friday vs. the Raptors.

With Boozer and Hill out, Tarik Black and Ryan Kelly will likely remain in the starting unit, with Ed Davis seeing extended minutes off the bench. All three guys can be viewed as low-end streamer options in deep leagues, with Davis and Kelly offering the most upside. Head coach Byron Scott said Hill and Boozer may return to the lineup for either Sunday's game vs. the Nets or Monday's game vs. the 76ers. Stay tuned.
Mar 27 - 12:06 PM

Dwight Howard said he'll have his minutes limit increased to 20 for Friday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

20 minutes may actually be enough time for Howard to rack up some decent statistics against a weak Minnesota frontcourt, so he's someone to consider deploying as a low-end option in very deep leagues. However, the minutes limit, horrendous free throw shooting, and the fact he'll be sitting out of back-to-back sets makes Howard a tough guy to own in standard leagues.
