It is "likely" that Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock will start a must-win Game 3 vs. the Spurs on Friday with all of the team's backcourt injuries.

The Lakers are down 0-2 in the series, and it appears they'll go to battle with their two second-round draft picks from 2011 as the starting backcourt. Neither Morris nor Goudelock is an NBA point guard, so Pau Gasol will be asked to do a great deal of facilitating. Morris has proven his worth on the defensive end at times, but he's struggled on offense, and while Goudelock was named D-League MVP, he's yet to prove he can be a real threat against bigger, stronger two-guards in the league. It could be a long night for the Lakers as the team looks to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole.

Marcin Gortat went off for 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting with 18 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals before fouling out in 42 minutes against the Spurs on Friday.

He's averaging a career-high 35.2 minutes per game and this was the second time this season that he played 42 minutes. Ian Mahinmi (knee) can't stay healthy and coach Scott Brooks doesn't trust his bench at all, but Gortat's owners aren't complaining. He's flirting with top-50 value in standard leagues and his owners just have to hope that the Wizards can remain relevant in the East.
Dec 3 - 1:58 AM

Will Barton hit the ground running in his return to the starting lineup on Friday, scoring 17 points with seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

Well, he looks like himself again. Barton had been battling his ankle sprain since Halloween and only played in three games since then -- he also was awful in those three with a 21.4 field goal percentage. Simply put, Barton has to be picked up everywhere after this one.
Dec 3 - 1:39 AM

Dwyane Wade (rest) will not play against the Mavs on Saturday.

He is scheduled to get the game off and did not travel with the team to Dallas. On Friday, Wade was fantastic with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes. The Bulls will likely try to limit him when they can, especially in road back-to-backs against weaker opponents.
Dec 3 - 1:34 AM

Rajon Rondo triple-doubled against the Cavs on Friday with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

He's had a few phenomenal matchups to get him going strong and his coach has been impressed with how he runs the offense. "I thought Rondo was great all night long," coach Fred Hoiberg said. "You could hear him yelling 'Run with me' to all the guys all game." Rondo will take his momentum in an ultimate revenge game against the Mavs and Mark Cuban with Dwyane Wade (rest) out. After Saturday, it's not a bad idea to try and sell high off the string of favorable matchups.
Dec 3 - 1:31 AM

Pau Gasol returned from a day of rest in a 107-105 win vs. the Wizards on Friday and scored 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

It looks like the maintenance day worked, as Gasol averaged 7.6 points per game in his last three appearances. His days as an elite fantasy asset likely ended the moment he signed in San Antonio, but he's still capable of returning mid-round value.
Dec 3 - 1:31 AM

Updating a previous report, Trevor Ariza left Friday's game vs. Denver with back spasms.

He didn't return, but there was only a few minutes left. Ariza played 43 minutes the night before and logged 31 minutes tonight, but luckily he gets two days off before Monday's game vs. Boston. He finished with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and four treys. If we get some bad news on Ariza, Sam Dekker would get some extra burn. To be clear, Ariza should be fine.
Dec 3 - 1:12 AM

Kyle O'Quinn came out of nowhere against the Wolves on Friday with 20 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes.

Wow. That's season highs in points, boards and minutes for KOQ in his start today. He was outstanding on the defensive end and coach Jeff Hornacek stuck with him after not playing him for more than 18 minutes in any of his previous four games. Joakim Noah (ankle) could be back for Sunday, so O'Quinn would only be worth a look in deeper leagues. This looks like one of the flukiest games of the season.
Dec 3 - 12:35 AM

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said "We’ll look at everything" when asked if he will shake up his starting lineup after Friday's 121-85 loss to the Pistons.

The Hawks have lost five straight games and seven out of their last eight, so they've got to try something. Coach Bud even benched his entire starting five at halftime because he was looking for a "spark." Kyle Korver has arguably struggled the most and he finished with seven points on 2-of-8 shooting with two rebounds and one steal in 34 minutes Friday, and he's been held to single-digit points in four out of his last five games. Standard-league owners are probably ready to move on.
Dec 3 - 12:12 AM

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 23 points in Friday's 121-85 win over the Hawks, shooting 9-of-20 from the field in 30 minutes

KCP is from Georgia and also went to school there, so he put on a show in front of his family and friends. He added eight rebounds, one steal and five triples, and he's one of the hottest SGs in the East right now, averaging 18.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.0 triples on 45.3 percent shooting over his last five games.
Dec 2 - 11:58 PM

Blake Griffin scored 27 points on 12-of-22 shooting in Friday's 114-96 win over the Pelicans.

This was the second night of a back-to-back set and he logged 34 minutes, so it's safe to say that he's healthy after a knee/calf scare last week. Griffin added four assists, two blocks and hit a triple to give him five 3-pointers on the season. He gets a matchup with the Pacers on Sunday.
Dec 2 - 11:26 PM

Al Horford exploded against the Kings during a 97-92 win on Friday, scoring 26 points with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, six blocks and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

That's season highs in points, blocks and treys, and he also matched his best total in steals and minutes. We've seen coach Brad Stevens mix it up with his bigs, but he's never had someone as good as Horford. This massive game moved him to No. 6 on per-game value for standard leagues despite just 32.4 minutes per game. He's going to be outstanding all year.
