Sixers players grew tired with Doug Collins, team sources told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

It's like clockwork with Collins no matter where he coaches because it's the same story spun in a different way. One player told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Collins had a "tendency t be overbearing," which falls in line with previous criticism during Collins' coaching career. The Sixers have known interest in Brian Shaw, Mike Malone, Jeff Hornacek and Michael Curry thus far. Philly is also expected to be interested in Larry Drew if he is fired in Atlanta after the Hawks finish their season, and it was reported previously that Drew would have interest in the Philly job.

Marc Gasol (groin) scored a season-high 36 points during an 88-86 win over the Blazers on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

What right groin injury? He popped up on the injury report today, but looked totally fine. The Grizzlies are on a five-game winning streak and Gasol is the heavy favorite for Western Conference Player of the Week. In his three wins so far, Gasol has averaged 30.0 points, 10.7 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks and 2.3 treys on 50 percent from the field. Big Spain has been a top-five player for standard leagues over his last 10 and is making a great case for the All-Star team.
Dec 9 - 12:31 AM

JaMychal Green grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds against the Blazers on Thursday, scoring six points with two assists and one steal in 34 minutes.

He is cleaning up on the glass these days and it certainly helped against the Blazers. Plus, Green was credited with two extra boards back on Dec. 5, so that puts him at 14.5 boards per game over his last four. On the downside, he is not shooting the ball well over his last three, making just 6-of-24 (25 percent) in the span. Still, Green shouldn't be affected with the return of Zach Randolph, so keep him rolling in all leagues.
Dec 9 - 12:17 AM

Joe Ingles came off the bench for the banged up Jazz on Thursday and hit 7-of-13 shots, 5-of-9 3-pointers and 2-of-3 free throws for a season-high 21 points, five rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block.

Rodney Hood (hamstring) and Gordon Hayward (finger) joined George Hill (toe) in street clothes, and Ingles took advantage, just missing his career high by one point in a season-high 35 minutes. If those three are out again on Saturday, Ingles, and not Joe Johnson, looks like the way to go in fantasy. Just keep in mind that he hadn't scored more than eight points in each of his previous three games, so the key to Ingles' success is the absence of Hayward. Make sure Hayward is out before deploying Ingles.
Dec 9 - 12:11 AM

Draymond Green returned to Thursday's game after spraining his left ankle and going to the locker room, and finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

His ankle injury didn't look great and he appeared to be in a lot of pain, but we're guessing he just had it re-taped and was good to go. He played most of the fourth quarter until the end of the game, but the key will be to see if it swells overnight. The Warriors are off until Saturday, when they visit Memphis, so hopefully his ankle will have time to heal between now and then.
Dec 8 - 11:38 PM

Bradley Beal looked great against the Nuggets during a 92-85 win on Thursday, scoring 26 points with three rebounds, five assists and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

He is playing the best ball of his career right now. Over his last 10, Beal has a fantastic 61.4 true shooting percentage and a 27.4 usage rate in his 37.8 minutes per game. He has been awesome as a shooter, turning in a 60.5 effective field goal percentage on his jumpers in that span. As long as he stays healthy, the breakout looks for real. He's been a third-round value over his last 10.
Dec 8 - 11:14 PM

Al-Farouq Aminu played 24 minutes and hit 2-of-9 shots for five points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals on Thursday, before leaving late with a back injury.

Aminu took a very hard fall and landed flat on his lower back. He hobbled to the sideline, but was clearly in pain. The Blazers don't play again until Saturday at Indy, so there's a chance he'll be feeling better by then. But it also wouldn't be surprising to miss a game or two. Watch for updates on his status throughout the weekend. Aminu was just getting back from a calf injury and is still on a minutes limit, so his new injury just adds some fuel to the fire. If Aminu misses time, guys like Moe Harkless (ankle), Ed Davis and Evan Turner all benefit.
Dec 8 - 11:07 PM

DeMarre Carroll played 33 minutes and had 10 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and three 3-pointers on 3-of-7 shooting in Thursday's 124-110 win over Minnesota.

Carroll is scheduled to miss Friday's game against the Celtics for a rest. He's not having a great season, but once he finally gets up to speed he should be a solid fantasy option. Now looks like a good time to buy low on DC. With Carroll out on Friday, look for Terrence Ross, Norman Powell and Patrick Patterson to both step up in his absence tomorrow.
Dec 8 - 9:56 PM

Kenneth Faried was a DNP-CD against the Wizards on Thursday.

From starter on Wednesday to out of the rotation on Thursday. Faried has been in coach Mike Malone's doghouse before, but this time it may be for a decent amount of time. The odds of Faried getting traded may be at an all-time high with guys like Juancho Hernangomez currently ahead of him. He may be back in the rotation at some point, but his short-term outlook looks bleak. He's a drop candidate in standard leagues.
Dec 8 - 9:43 PM

Langston Galloway received five stitches above his eye and has returned.

He was cut open after Joel Embiid accidentally shouldered him. Galloway should be ready to roll tonight.
Dec 8 - 9:07 PM

Tony Parker (left knee) will start against the Bulls on Thursday night.

This is a mild surprise for Parker, who missed Tuesday's action. Parker likely won't play many minutes in his return to the lineup and he'll certainly miss more games going forward.
Dec 8 - 8:21 PM

Evan Turner will start for Moe Harkless (ankle) against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

Well, just when it made sense for Allen Crabbe to start, coach Terry Stotts will start Turner. Both Turner and Crabbe should benefit tonight.
