Carmelo Anthony says his shoulder's still sore but said he'll be ready for Game 1 of the Knicks' second-round series.

That's obviously a change from Anthony's "feels great" declaration Friday afternoon. Of course, Anthony also said after Friday's win that the shoulder popped out and back in during a fourth-quarter collision with Avery Bradley. Regardless of whether Anthony says he'll be ready for Game 1, it's clear that the shoulder is at least worth monitoring going forward.

Bismack Biyombo (shoulder) will start against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Well, the Magic have changed their tune. Biyombo is going to play with some soreness and with a harness, so he's not 100 percent. If he's able to avoid injury, he should be busy. This takes Stephen Zimmerman off the board in DFS and also hurts guys like Serge Ibaka, Jeff Green and Aaron Gordon slightly.
Dec 10 - 5:47 PM

Jeff Green (ankle) is available to play vs. Denver on Saturday.

His ankle tweak didn't look too bad, so he may not be limited. Green should actually play a lot tonight, so he's on the board as a DFS punt. He doesn't have much value in standard leagues.
Dec 10 - 5:45 PM

Nikola Vucevic (back) and Bismack Biyombo (shoulder) are out against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Well, coach Frank Vogel may actually have to go small. The Magic have rolled with a three-man big rotation, but now he's left with just Serge Ibaka -- he should play a too. Expect to see a lot of Aaron Gordon at the four, which should open up minutes for Jeff Green and the bench wings. Stephen Zimmerman should also get some burn as a dart throw tonight.
Dec 10 - 5:42 PM

Wilson Chandler (right hip soreness) will not play against the Magic on Saturday.

This is the same hip that kept him out all of last season and needed surgery, so this isn't a minor thing. That said, it's just soreness, so don't panic on him. Chandler has played way too many minutes because he's been the best and most consistent player. With Chandler out of the lineup, Kenneth Faried may be back in the mix while Darrell Arthur and Juancho Hernagomez get boosts, as well. Expect bigger usage rates for Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray in the second unit.
Dec 10 - 4:43 PM

Derrick Rose went through a full practice on Saturday.

More importantly, coach Jeff Hornacek said Rose looked good out there. Rose said he expects to play on Sunday against the Lakers, so this news coincides with that timetable. Rose would likely start and sounds like he could play 30 minutes. Brandon Jennings would move to the bench and be looking at minutes in the mid-20s.
Dec 10 - 4:32 PM

The Magic recalled Stephen Zimmerman on Saturday.

That is not a good sign for Bismack Biyombo (shoulder) and Nikola Vucevic (back) for tonight. Zimmerman actually blew up in the D-League on Friday with 20 points, 12 boards and two blocks. He's been awesome all year at Erie with averages of 21.8 points, 15.8 boards, 1.8 steals and 1.5 block -- yes, that's nice. He may get in the rotation and was a block machine in Summer League, but it would take a little slice of crazy to roll him out there for DFS. That would change if Vogel gets wild and starts him.
Dec 10 - 4:25 PM

Updating a previous item, D'Angelo Russell (knee) has a chance to play against the Knicks on Sunday.

He was taking some contact in his 3-on-3 on Saturday and went through a full practice, so that may have met coach Luke Walton's requirements to suit up. A big factor will be how his body responded to today's workload. Russell has said he's healthy and is already past his original prognosis. He'll likely be a game-time call. If he's out, Jordan Clarkson would go back to the bench while Lou Williams may actually slow down a bit.
Dec 10 - 4:02 PM

Isaiah Thomas (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Oklahoma City.

He did not even travel for the road game. Thomas has said he wants to play on Wednesday, but the Celtics are really going to be careful for him. Coach Brad Stevens said on Friday he really wants to make sure he's over his injury and doesn't want it to linger. With Thomas out, Marcus Smart gets the start while Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown get some extra playing time. Smart is worth a pickup in most leagues despite his shooting woes.
Dec 10 - 2:38 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play against the Pistons on Sunday.

This will be the eighth straight game Bayless has missed. Sergio Rodriguez will start once again. S-Rod has played well in place of Bayless this season. Rodriguez is averaging 9.1 points, 6.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 28.0 minutes in the 22 games he has started this season.
Dec 10 - 1:33 PM

Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) will be available to play Sunday vs. the Pistons.

Okafor had missed three straight games due to the illness. The Sixers are saying that Okafor will not have a minutes restriction. He will likely start on Sunday, as Joel Embiid (elbow/rest) will not be available. Nerlens Noel is also set to make his season debut on Sunday. Noel will likely split time backup minutes with Richaun Holmes
Dec 10 - 1:19 PM

Nerlens Noel (knee) will be available to make his regular-season debut Sunday against the Pistons.

Noel had surgery to repair inflamed tissue above his left knee on Oct. 24. He has been practicing with the team for weeks and is finally ready to get back on the court. Noel enters an unfavorable fantasy situation, due to the glut of quality bigs on the Sixers roster. Embiid has been phenomenal and will start and play at least 25 minutes whenever he suits up. Embiid will not play Sunday, but when he is available, Noel will likely have to compete for minutes behind Embidd with fellow bigs Jahlil Okafor and Richaun Holmes.
