Luol Deng (illness) has been officially ruled out for Monday's Game 1 vs. Miami.

Deng is not in Miami with the Bulls. Tom Thibodeau spoke with Deng on Monday morning, and although he's out of the hospital, the doctors still "aren't sure exactly what is wrong." He sounds very questionable for Game 2, meaning Jimmy Butler and Marco Belinelli would be in for extended roles again. On Monday, the Bulls will start Butler at small forward with Belinelli at shooting guard.

Zach LaVine edged out Aaron Gordon in a thrilling 2016 Slam Dunk Contest.

It was one of the best dunk contests in years and LaVine put to rest the "LaVine is only good at through-the-legs dunk" talk. The two dunkers had to go to OT to decide it, which resulted in awesome dunks each time. Gordon had arguably two of the best dunks of the night and his creativity topped LaVine, too. Of course, LaVine didn't disappoint. Go check out all of Gordon's and LaVine's dunks ASAP.

Klay Thompson won the 2016 3-Point Shootout on Saturday.

He was on fire in the championship round with a perfect money ball rack to get to 27 points. Stephen Curry and Devin Booker also made it to the championship round with Curry's 23 coming in second. Thompson and Curry are basically locks to be first and second in 3-pointers on the season.

Greivis Vasquez (ankle surgery) said that is targeting a return to the court in 3-4 weeks.

He had ankle surgery in December, but this report would mean he could play as early as March. However, the Bucks will ease him back into action upon his return after such an extended absence, and he's not really worth owning in most leagues while Michael Carter-Williams and Jerryd Bayless are healthy.

According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, the Warriors are a legitimate threat to land Kevin Durant this summer.

"There are people in Golden State who think they're getting him," Broussard said. "There are people in management and I think some players too. Kevin Durant likes the way they play. He likes their style, he likes the fact they play unselfishly. He sees himself fitting into that group." This report first gained steam when Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical said that the Warriors were "significant frontrunners" to sign him in free agency, so it shouldn't be completely dismissed. The Thunder's success in the postseason could be a pivotal factor in KD's decision.

Chris Bosh will not play in Sunday's All-Star Game due to a strained calf.

The specifics are not known yet on Bosh, who played 35 minutes on Tuesday night and didn't appear to be hurt. The Heat don't play again until Friday Feb. 19, so there could be a decent chance he is ready to return for action with the team.

John Wall (knee bruise) said that he will play in Sunday's All-Star game.

He bruised his knee during Thursday's game vs. the Bucks and was able to keep playing, so the injury sounds pretty minor even though he did have some swelling. Regardless, this report confirms that Wall will likely be fine moving forward, so his owners shouldn't be too concerned.

Jimmy Butler (strained left knee) is "unsure" of a return date from his injury, but guaranteed that he will return this season.

He said that he will "listen" to his body during rehab, but it should be noted that the Bulls gave him a timetable of 3-4 weeks. Butler is as tough as they come, so he will do everything in his power to meet that timetable. His owners should continue to stash him, and in the meantime expect Derrick Rose and E'Twaun Moore to benefit the most. Tony Snell, Doug McDermott and Mike Dunleavy will all play a little more as well.

According to Chris Mannix of the Vertical, the asking price for Al Horford and Jeff Teague is "borderline ridiculous."

"From everything I’ve been told in the last two or three days, Atlanta’s requests for both Al Horford and Jeff Teague have been borderline ridiculous," Mannix said. "The kind of things teams like Boston, or Milwaukee, or Denver simply won’t deal for the players they want." Boston seems like the team that's most willing to make a major move, and Mannix adds that the Hawks could lower their price as the deadline (Feb. 18) approaches.

Tyreke Evans underwent successful surgery on his right knee on Thursday.

He is out for the season due to his lingering tendinitis. Evans had his third right knee surgery in the past nine months, but he should be ready to start the season next year. The Pelicans will add another player, which should be Bryce Dejean-Jones. Norris Cole and Jrue Holiday benefit most while every other player benefits as well. Evans' future isn't looking great after winning Rookie of the Year over Stephen Curry.

Gary Neal (right leg) has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Bucks.

It'll be Neal's second straight game on the sidelines with a sore leg, but he's not a major part of the rotation anyway with Bradley Beal healthy. Ramon Sessions and Garrett Temple will pick up some extra minutes in Neal's absence, but that doesn't mean much at all in fantasy hoops. Neal should be good to go after the All-Star break.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been diagnosed with a torn labrum, and he's in danger of missing the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

This is the same injury that MKG suffered during the pre-season, and it seems likely that this will be a season-ender for Kidd-Gilchrist, although we won't have an official timetable until after the All-Star break. Michael can opt to undergo surgery to repair the labrum tear, which would be a season-ending scenario, or he can try and rehab it, but that would make him more prone to future tears. With MKG out, guys like Jeremy Lin, Nicolas Batum, P.J. Hairston and Jeremy Lamb will all step up to help fill the void, with Hairston likely to return to the starting lineup. Jeremy Lin is worth a speculative add in deep leagues, while MKG is now officially a cut-candidate in all re-draft formats.
