Phil Jackson said there is "zero" chance of him coaching again, but admitted he wants to be in a GM/team president role.

Remember all of those rumors about Jackson returning to the sidelines? They look laughable now. Regardless, we're sure to hear plenty of other rumblings regarding Jackson's future in the front office after he admitted to having a deal in place with Chris Hansen to join the Sonics if the Kings had wound up moving from Sacramento.

Ish Smith started again and hit 11-of-17 shots and a 3-pointer for 23 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in Wednesday's loss to the Wizards.

Smith has it rolling right now and Nerlens Noel is thriving with him running the point. Isaiah Canaan has managed to stay quite relevant off the bench, and had 18 points, six assists and four 3-pointers. In fact, Canaan was the better play tonight, and has scored 18 in two straight while totaling seven 3-pointers, but Smith is the most trustworthy point guard in Philly right now. Especially after Canaan suffered a sprained ankle and didn't return to the game.
Apr 1 - 10:39 PM

Isaiah Canaan suffered a right ankle sprain against the Wizards on Wednesday and did not return.

The injury occurred late in the game, so it's unknown if this ankle sprain was severe. If he needs to miss time, the 76ers will likely have to revert back to using JaKarr Sampson as the backup point guard. Ish Smith is an extremely strong add in standard leagues now. Canaan finished with 18 points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
Apr 1 - 9:21 PM

Aron Baynes scored a career-high 18 points with five rebounds and one block in 24 minutes against Orlando on Wednesday.

He came to Orlando not as a conquer, but as a liberator to return control to a team with the fifth-worst record in the NBA and help them move higher in the lottery. Baynes was 8-of-8 from the line and also played terrific defense on Nikola Vucevic. Unless you have an obsession to adding necessary evil to your roster, leave Baynes on the wire.
Apr 1 - 9:19 PM

Brandon Knight (heel) is doubtful to play against the Warriors on Thursday.

The Suns are calling it a heel injury, but it may have something to do with his ankle sprain from last month. With Knight out, Marcus Morris should be owned in all leagues for his starting numbers on a three-game night. T.J. Warren is also worth a look in deeper leagues.
Apr 1 - 8:09 PM

Monta Ellis (calf) will play vs. the Thunder on Wednesday.

Ellis' calf may not be 100 percent healthy but he's one of the league's toughest players and it's no surprise to see him in the starting lineup. He'll give the No. 7 seed Mavericks whatever he has tonight, as they try to fend off the No. 8 seed Thunder, and he's safe to activate in all leagues.
Apr 1 - 7:49 PM

Derrick Favors (back) will return to action against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

He's ready to roll after missing two games due to a back issue. Favors was able to go through shootaround this morning and he should be in the 22-28 minute range. Trevor Booker can be dropped in most leagues.
Apr 1 - 7:09 PM

Dwight Howard (rest) will not play against the Kings on Wednesday.

He is going to play tomorrow against the Mavs. With Howard out, Joey Dorsey will get the start and Terrence Jones should get some run at the five, too. Howard isn't a must-own player and will likely have a minutes cap for the next week or so.
Apr 1 - 6:59 PM

Kevin Martin (hamstring) will not play against the Raptors on Wednesday.

This is not a surprise despite the Wolves saying Martin could return. There's also some hope he'll play on Friday, but we have our doubts. Lorenzo Brown and Zach LaVine will get most of the backcourt minutes tonight.
Apr 1 - 6:55 PM

Ricky Rubio's sprained ankle will sideline him again on Wednesday.

Rubio was doubtful to play and at this point we're wondering why the Wolves don't shut him down. He's missed nine of Minnesota's past 10 games and there's no clear indication when he might return, leaving Zach LaVine with a clear path to extended minutes in the backcourt.
Apr 1 - 6:54 PM

DeMarcus Cousins will play against the Rockets in Houston on Wednesday.

Coach George Karl said on Monday he would think about resting Cousins on the road, so this is a mild surprise. Cousins' fantasy owners can start him tonight in what should be a productive game with Rudy Gay (concussion) out. The other Kings' players aren't going to have as high of a ceiling.
Apr 1 - 6:52 PM

Kelly Olynyk (left eye laceration) will attempt to play vs. the Pacers on Wednesday.

It's a crucial game for both teams' playoff hopes, which explains why Olynyk is even considering playing -- he took a hard elbow during warmups and his eye has swelled up to nearly the size of a golf ball (you can see it via the link below). We doubt he'll be very effective tonight and there's still a chance he won't even play, which makes him a very shaky option.
