LeBron James headlined the All-NBA First Team when it was announced by the league on Thursday.

Joining him on the first team will be Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul and Kevin Durant, while the second team will be comprised of Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Marc Gasol, Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook. The Third team is James Harden, Dwyane Wade, David Lee, Paul George and Dwight Howard.

Jonas Valanciunas (left ankle) suffered an ankle sprain in the second quarter and will not return.

He went up for a rebound and landed on Ben Simmons' foot. Valanciunas didn't get much elevation as he came down, he did play through it, and he didn't have much of a limp as he went to the locker room, so it didn't look too bad. With JV out, Bebe Noguiera will slide into the first unit while Jakob Poeltl should play more, too.
Oct 21 - 9:01 PM

Donovan Mitchell will start for Rodney Hood against the Jazz on Saturday.

This will be the rookie second start after Hood had a stomach issue in opener. With Hood possibly missing more games, Mitchell could fine himself getting some extra run and may be asked to score more than usual. This could mean Raul Neto is in the rotation, too.
Oct 21 - 8:24 PM

Yogi Ferrell, Wes Matthews, Dorian Finney-Smith, Harrison Barnes and Dirk Nowitzki will start against the Rockets on Saturday.

Coach Rick Carlisle will go small here to help defend against the 3-point line. Ferrell should be looking at around 27-30 minutes tonight with J.J. Barea playing on a back-to-back set.
Oct 21 - 7:58 PM

James Johnson will start and Kelly Olynyk will move to the bench against the Pacers on Saturday.

Coach Erik Spoelstra is at it again as he shakes things up without Hassan Whiteside. Olynyk and Johnson were always going to get minutes anyways, so it's all about the combinations.
Oct 21 - 7:30 PM

Goran Dragic, Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson, James Johnson and Jordan Mickey will start against the Pacers on Saturday.

Mickey was outstanding in the preseason, so he'll get a longer look tonight with Hassan Whiteside out. He played well enough to give him a look as a DFS punt, but most owners shouldn't add him in season long.
Oct 21 - 7:28 PM

Boban Marjanovic is active and Eric Moreland is inactive against the Knicks on Saturday.

He gets a great matchup here and the Knicks aren't really a strong pick-and-roll team, so maybe Boban gets run as the backup five man. If he does, coach Stan Van Gundy has said he wants him to score with two feet in the paint. Free Boban.
Oct 21 - 6:46 PM

Elfrid Payton (hamstring) had a mild to moderate strain and could miss several games.

There are not many muscle strains that can be a nagging issue like a hamstring pull, so the Magic will have to rest Payton until his muscles heal. With him out, D.J. Augustin could have short-term value in most leagues.
Oct 21 - 6:41 PM

D.J. Augustin will start for Elfrid Payton (hamstring) on Saturday.

While Shelvin Mack started the second half on Friday, coach Frank Vogel now had time to set his rotation with what he has. Augustin played 23 minutes on Friday and he should get close to 30 minutes tonight. He makes sense as a DFS punt and could have short-term value with Payton out.
Oct 21 - 6:37 PM

Aaron Gordon (ankle) will not play against the Cavs on Saturday.

This is a tough one for the Magic, who will also be missing Elfrid Payton. Jonathan Isaac got the start on Friday and played 23 minutes, but he was in serious foul trouble with three fouls in his first four minutes. He could definitely be in foul trouble again, but Isaac makes sense as a DFS option. Evan Fournier should be busy.
Oct 21 - 6:35 PM

Coach Fred Hoiberg believes Denzel Valentine (knee) will play against the Spurs on Saturday.

He missed practice on Friday due to knee soreness. Valentine is easily the best offensive weapon on the bench for the Bulls, so Hoiberg will need him out there against coach Gregg Popovich's Spurs. If Valentine is limited, it'll likely be David Nwaba getting extra run.
Oct 21 - 6:27 PM

Michael Beasley (ankle) is available to play against the Pistons on Saturday.

This is a small surprise after Beasley was in a walking boot on Thursday. If he isn't limited, Beasley should get around 20 minutes and could be busy in that time. He'll be a risky play in DFS or season long.
