There is "strong mutual interest" between the Clippers and Doc Rivers, sources close to the situation told ESPN.

There have been multiple reports citing Rivers' unease with returning to coach the Celtics next season, which set off numerous reports of other teams' potential interest in an available Rivers, including the Clippers. Sources told ESPN that Rivers is "highly intrigued" by the idea of coaching the Clippers if he parts ways with the Celtics. ESPN even mentioned the Clippers' pursuit of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce at the trade deadline as something that could be revived in order to help lure Rivers to L.A. We're not sure where, if anywhere, Rivers is going to coach next season, but it's starting to look like there's a decent chance it won't be in Boston.

Stephen Curry had one of his patented explosions against the Thunder during a 114-109 win on Thursday, scoring 34 points with seven rebounds, nine assists, four steals, one block and five 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

The Thunder came out firing with a 40-point first quarter, but Curry got it going. He did have a minor ankle scare tonight and it did not cause him to miss time. On top of the obvious treys, Curry has career highs in free throw makes, rebounds, steals, usage rate and true shooting percentage. Superstar.

Kevin Durant (ankle) hopes to play against the Lakers on Friday.

"It was the foot I had surgery," Durant said. "I wanted to play, I wanted to go back out there, but they just wanted to be cautious." He left the arena without crutches, without a walking boot, and only had a minor limp, so everything suggests he's not going to miss much time. Of course, there is always the concern of swelling, so his owners will want to check back. Additionally, KD became the first player since the NBA-ABA merger to score 30 points in under 20 minutes, per Elias Sports Bureau.
Dec 19 - 1:54 AM

Russell Westbrook scored 33 points against the Warriors on Thursday on 11-of-30 from the field and 8-of-12 from the line, adding three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, six turnovers and three 3-pointers.

It was the Russell Westbrook Show -- a great show, by the way -- in the second half as he posted a ridiculous usage rate of 46.5 to go with an assist percentage of 27.3. Westbrook is easily of the best players in the league and all of his naysayers have decided to hide out for a while. He can stuff a stat sheet like only a few others can and should be viewed as a first-round asset in standard leagues. He might be the best player for Daily Fantasy Sites this side of Anthony Davis.
Dec 19 - 1:44 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) played 37 minutes against the Kings during a 108-107 win on Thursday with 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block on 4-of-5 from the field.

The minutes jump off the page and the Alphabet has been freed. He should be able to get all the minutes he can handle and his offensive efficiency has taken some major steps forward, so he just needs to get his blocks and steals back. Those were two of his best assets last season, so there is certainly enough upside to own him in all leagues.
Dec 19 - 1:34 AM

Jared Dudley scored a season-high 19 points against the Kings on Thursday with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

He had season highs in field goal attempts and free throw attempts in what was obviously his best game. Dudley has barely been shooting the rock while he's been out there and only had 0.8 triples per game in his previous eight games this month. This rotation is going to be a mess, so he's not a standard league target based on this game alone.
Dec 19 - 1:26 AM

DeMarcus Cousins returned to action during a 108-107 loss to the Bucks on Thursday, scoring 27 points with 11 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 33 minutes.

Well, so much for the minutes cap. Cousins was outstanding on the offensive end, making 8-of-12 from the field and 11-of-13 from the line. He wasn't thrilled about the firing of coach Mike Malone and tonight he had a long talk with new coach Ty Corbin. As long as he's avoiding ejections, Cousins is going to be one of the best big men in fantasy.
Dec 19 - 1:09 AM

Anthony Davis went off against the Rockets on Thursday during a 99-90 win with 30 points, 14 boards, three assists, two steals and five blocks.

He made 10-of-17 from the field, 10-of-12 from the line and only turned it over once. Davis already has eight 30-point games and raised his scoring to 24.8 points per game, ranking fourth in the NBA. The future is now for the best power forward in the NBA.
Dec 19 - 12:47 AM

Kevin Durant suffered a mild right ankle sprain on Thursday and will not return.

This is good news. X-rays were negative, so he didn't suffer a re-fracture. He is likely going to be day-to-day and may have a shot to play on Friday against the Lakers. He had 30 points in the first half and looked absolutely fantastic. Perry Jones would benefit should KD not be ready.
Dec 19 - 12:16 AM

Taj Gibson (ankle) is traveling with the team for Friday's game in Memphis.

He missed Thursday after warmups didn't go well, so he has a good chance to play on Friday. The Bulls have plenty of depth in their frontcourt, so there's little reason to play Gibson at less than 100 percent. He is likely looking at a game-time decision in a bad matchup.
Dec 18 - 11:34 PM

Derrick Rose (illness) is not traveling with the Bulls for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

He could travel on his own, but we would consider Rose doubtful to play. After playing 11 in a row, he's going to miss his second consecutive game. The former MVP is the most annoying player to own and his owners have probably checked for updates more than any other player. Aaron Brooks is worth a look in a sub-par matchup.
Dec 18 - 11:31 PM

Aaron Brooks played 25 minutes off the bench against the Knicks on Thursday with 18 points, two rebounds, five assists, one steal and five 3-pointers.

Derrick Rose (illness) is not traveling with the Bulls for Friday, so chances are Brooks has another game ready to go on Friday. Although, it's not going to be as great of a matchup against the Grizzlies, but he's still worth a look for short-term value.
