The Clippers are preparing to move on without Doc Rivers and could offer their coaching job to Lionel Hollins or Brian Shaw.

After an afternoon full of rumors, this comes along. Of course, there is always a lot of cloak and dagger with any trade rumor and the Clippers could just be posturing. Hollins and Shaw could both be great coaches in the NBA, so it would make sense for the Clippers not to dump too much into getting a new coach. With the Clippers' deal receding as a possibility, Rivers is reportedly "prepared to stay in Boston."

Aaron Gordon (ankle) practiced on Monday and is expected to return on Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Tyreke Evans (left knee contusion) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Rockets.

Any time we see Evans dealing with a knee issue it's a little concerning, but this sounds like a minor bruise. With Wayne Selden (quad) already ruled out, Andrew Harrison, Mario Chalmers and Dillon Brooks may be asked to take on more minutes if Evans can't go.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Suns are engaged in trade talks for Eric Bledsoe with several teams.

Bledsoe was sent home from the morning shootaround and it doesn't sound like he will play for the Suns again -- he's already been ruled out for Monday's game. Until we know what teams are interested, it's hard to predict what type of value he will have in a new city. The good news is that a move would reduce his shut-down risk since the Suns are tanking harder than any other team.
Oct 23 - 1:28 PM

Ersan Ilyasova will not play on Monday vs. Miami due to a left knee strain.

Ersanity was never known for his durability and the Hawks have every reason to be cautious in a rebuilding year. John Collins and Mike Muscala should both be more involved on Monday, but Collins is the guy you want in your fantasy lineup.
Oct 23 - 1:17 PM

Dennis Schroder (left ankle sprain) will not play on Monday vs. the Heat.

An MRI on Monday morning confirmed a sprain for Schroder, but they did not provide a timetable. His owners just need to sit tight for now, but expect the Hawks to be cautious. Malcolm Delaney is the next man up in Atlanta and is worth a short-term look for PG-needy owners.
Oct 23 - 1:12 PM

Eric Bledsoe (personal) will not play on Monday vs. the Kings.

Fire up the trade rumors. A report late Sunday night indicated that Bledsoe requested a trade prior to the season, and he sent out a cryptic Tweet that he wants out of Phoenix. Bledsoe met with the front office on Monday morning before the team's shootaround, but all we know is that he was sent home shortly after. His days on the Suns appear to be numbered. Fantasy owners should have Tyler Ulis and Mike James at the top of their watch lists.
Oct 23 - 1:07 PM

Myles Turner (concussion, sore neck) has already been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Wolves.

The Pacers only have three games this week and it's unclear if he will play on Wednesday, making him a risky start in weekly formats. With Turner out, Domantas Sabonis and Al Jefferson will continue to see a bump in playing time, but Sabonis looks like the better add.

J.R. Smith will take Dwyane Wade's place in the starting lineup going forward.

Wade requested to move to the second unit, and Smith is arguably a better fit in the starting lineup because of his floor spacing. Smith put up just 8.6 points and 2.3 triples as a full-time starter last season, so there's no reason to add him in most leagues unless you're desperate for 3-pointers.
Oct 23 - 12:47 PM

The Cavaliers will move Dwyane Wade to the second unit going forward.

It's probably the right move for the Cavaliers, as Wade can be more aggressive in the second unit. For what it's worth, Wade is actually the one who requested to make the switch. With J.R. Smith back in the starting lineup, that also spreads the floor better for LeBron James. Wade was a low-end asset in fantasy before this news so this doesn't move the needle much.
Oct 23 - 12:46 PM

Malcolm Brogdon is listed as out for Monday's game vs. Charlotte due to a sprained left ankle.

This comes from the team's game notes, so there's no official word from the Bucks. Assuming Brogdon is out, Matthew Dellavedova will be looking at a heavy workload as the starting PG, while Jason Terry would likely get some run at the point as well.

Kris Dunn (finger) will return to practice on Monday.

He's doubtful to play on Tuesday vs. the Cavaliers, but he's ahead of schedule considering he wasn't expected back until November. Once he returns to action, Dunn will have a chance to compete with Jerian Grant for the starting job, but it's possible this becomes a timeshare.
