Trade talks that would have sent Kevin Garnett to the Clippers were "all but dead" as of Saturday night, according to multiple sources.

Talks stalled once the Clippers refused to give up both Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan in a package for KG and the rights to sign Doc Rivers. Boston also wanted at least one draft pick, while asking L.A. to absorb the contract of Jason Terry or Courtney Lee. The negotiation could resume at any time, but ESPN's sources suggest that the Clippers will wait until "Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest" before moving on from Rivers and hiring Lionel Hollins or Brian Shaw.

Kristaps Porzingis left Thursday's game vs. the Nets with a sore left knee and will not return.

He checked out with 9:25 remaining in the third quarter with what appeared to be a non-contact injury and was talking to a trainer before he walked back to the locker room. The Knicks waited about 10 minutes in real time before providing an update, and it's a bit concerning that he wasn't able to return to what has become a really tight game. If KP needs to miss time, Michael Beasley would have to pick up most of the slack on offense. Porzingis finished with 13 points, four assists, two rebounds, one steal and one triple.
Dec 14 - 9:11 PM

De'Aaron Fox will not return to Thursday's game vs. the Wolves due to a left quad contusion.

He was in a lot of discomfort on the sidelines and was getting stretched out by the trainers. He'll finish with two points and two assists in seven minutes. Frank Mason will pick up some extra minutes tonight and could have some nice short-term value if Fox misses additional time. George Hill would also see a nice bump in usage, but he's been hit-or-miss this season.
Dec 14 - 8:50 PM

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (personal) will not play on Thursday vs. Cleveland.

KCP is playing nearly 35 minutes per game this season, so the Lakers will likely use a committee approach to absorb his workload. The Lakers haven't announced a replacement starter yet, but Jordan Clarkson, Corey Brewer and Josh Hart are candidates to see increased roles. Clarkson offers the most streaming upside with 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 triples over his last five games in just 22.0 minutes.
Dec 14 - 7:07 PM

Dwyane Wade (left knee soreness) will play vs. the Lakers on Thursday.

Wade sat out vs. the Hawks on Tuesday but it looks like that was a precaution, as he'll be back out there for the Cavs' home game tonight. J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver takes a slight hit with Wade back in action.
Dec 14 - 6:25 PM

Allen Crabbe (left knee soreness) is available to play vs. the Knicks on Thursday.

Crabbe logged 31 minutes vs. the Wizards on Tuesday and he shouldn't have any restrictions, so owners can expect a similar workload tonight. Playing time aside, he just needs to start making shots -- in the past four games, Crabbe is a combined 16-of-48 from the field (33.3 percent).
Dec 14 - 6:05 PM

John Collins (shoulder) will return to action vs. the Pistons on Thursday.

Collins will come off the bench and he'll be on a minute-limit in his first game back from a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder. The Hawks will need his rebounding tonight vs. Andre Drummond and the Pistons, so hopefully he can get into the 20-24 minute range. His return should erode the playing time of guys like Tyler Cavanaugh and Miles Plumlee, although Plumlee is slated to get the start.
Dec 14 - 6:03 PM

Kawhi Leonard (right quadriceps tendinopathy) is listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Rockets.

This is a marquee matchup with the No. 1 seed in the West, so it's hard to imagine Kawhi sitting out. The Spurs do play again on Saturday, though, so it's possible he'll pick up a DNP for that one -- regardless, owners should confirm Kawhi's status after San Antonio's shootaround.
Dec 14 - 5:59 PM

Tyreke Evans (right hip) is questionable to play vs. the Hawks on Friday.

According to Grizzlies writer Michael Wallace, Evans has "battled soreness in the hip for more than a week after initially taking a fall in last Wednesday's loss in New York." He was ruled out during warmups on Wednesday and could be headed for a game-time decision, but owners should check for updates after Friday's shootaround.
Dec 14 - 5:54 PM

Chandler Parsons (lower back) is listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

Parsons is reportedly dealing with lower back soreness after someone fell on him during Wednesday's game, but the injury is "not considered serious." Memphis does have back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, however, so don't be surprised if Parsons is limited at some point this weekend.
Dec 14 - 5:52 PM

Will Barton (lower back contusion) is questionable for Friday's game vs. New Orleans.

Gary Harris and Jamal Murray went off in Barton's absence on Wednesday, and both players would be in line for extra work if Barton is ruled out again. We'll know more after Denver's shootaround, so check back Friday afternoon for an update.
Dec 14 - 5:28 PM

Evan Fournier (sprained right ankle) is listed as 'out' for Friday's game vs. Portland.

Fournier hasn't even resumed running so this isn't a surprise. The good news is that he's walking without a limp and was spotted shooting some free throws on Thursday, but the earliest we could see him is Sunday in Detroit. His absence opens up extra minutes for Jonathon Simmons, Mario Hezonja and Wesley Iwundu.
