Bradley Beal is expected to be cleared to begin basketball-related activities "in the next week or two."

Beal's leg is healing "slowly but surely," and Beal has been frustrated by the slow healing process. "At the same time, it’s something you have to be patient with…You can’t really rush it," he said. "I’m definitely taking my time, doing what I need to do. Having my trainers working me out and do what I need to do and get healthy." Beal won't commit to playing during Team USA's July mini-camp, and his only focus is getting 100 percent healthy for next season.

J.J. Hickson will start Friday vs. the Jazz.

While Kenneth Faired is healthy and available to play, head coach Brian Shaw has elected to go with Hickson as the starter. This is a strange move, and it seems Faried and Shaw could use some counseling, but it is what it is. Hickson is averaging 7.6 points and 6.8 rebounds through five games with the starting unit, and he'll have a tough matchup tonight, making him a risky play in most leagues.
Feb 27 - 7:30 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne will start against the Jazz on Friday night.

He'll join Ty Lawson, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinari and J.J. Hickson. Lauvergne logged some big minutes on Wednesday and the Nuggets look like they'll be giving him big run. He's not a tremendous player for fantasy because he doesn't block a ton of shots, but he's certainly worth a look for anyone needing a big man.
Feb 27 - 7:26 PM

Updating a previous report, Wilson Chandler will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Jazz.

Gary Harris is going to stick with the starting unit for this one, and this is a very interesting move for head coach Brian Shaw. The Nuggets don't have a lot of healthy bodies, so Chandler should still be able to get his minutes, but he'll be a bit more of a risky play coming off the bench.
Feb 27 - 7:24 PM

C.J. Miles (foot) will remain in the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. the Cavs.

Miles is averaging 13.7 points and 1.8 three-pointers per game on 38.1 percent shooting from the field this season. He basically scores inefficiently, limiting his value to deeper leagues.
Feb 27 - 7:14 PM

Patrick Patterson will start over Amir Johnson on Friday.

It makes a lot of sense on offense to help space the floor for basically every other starter. Patterson's role shouldn't change too much and we're basically just going to see his minutes come next to different guys. Still, he has a nice upside and is worth a look in standard leagues in case he gets an extra 5-8 minutes tonight.
Feb 27 - 7:12 PM

Updating a previous report, James Harden (ankle) will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. the Nets.

Head coach Kevin McHale said that he has no plan to limit Harden's minutes, but he will keep an eye on his ankle and make adjustments if he’s in any noticeable pain. Harden has been an absolute beast this season, leading the league in scoring with 27.2 points per game while chipping in 5.8 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.9 steals, and 2.7 three-pointers. Get him active for tonight's favorable matchup against the Nets.
Feb 27 - 7:08 PM

Wilson Chandler (groin) is a go for Friday's game vs. Utah.

Chandler will likely return to the starting lineup, which will send Gary Harris back to the bench, and take away minutes from Will Barton. The Nuggets are banged up right now with Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) and Darrell Arthur (calf) out, so Wilson could be forced into heavy minutes playing both forward spots.
Feb 27 - 6:50 PM

Kenneth Faried (thumb) will play against the Jazz on Friday and come off the bench.

He missed Wednesday and there's no word on how many minutes he'll play. Faried was only playing minutes in the low 20s leading up to the injury, but he should have a chance for more with Darrell Arthur (knee) out. He's still not a must-start player tonight, especially with Rudy Gobert protecting the rim.
Feb 27 - 6:48 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play against the Jazz on Friday.

The Nuggets do get Kenneth Faried back, so they're not too thin at power forward. However, they're still very thin at center and will likely lean on Joffrey Lauvergne the most in their frontcourt. J.J. Hickson may also play more, but he has sort of fallen out of favor with his coach recently.
Feb 27 - 6:45 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Rockets, and he is being considered doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Mavs.

The Nets will go with the same starting lineup from Wednesday of Deron Williams, Markel Brown, Joe Johnson, Alan Anderson, and Miles Plumlee. Thaddeus Young will also have some more opportunity for playing time with Bogdanovic out of the lineup.
Feb 27 - 6:43 PM

Evan Fournier (sore right hip) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

With Fournier and Aaron Gordon (ankle) unavailable, Victor Oladipo and Tobias Harris are going to be forced into heavy minutes, and both figure to be decent plug-and-play options in daily leagues.
