The potential deal of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry going to Brooklyn has reached the ownership levels, Yahoo! Sports reports.

The Nets would send back Reggie Evans, do a sign-and-trade with Keith Bogans and include one more minimum level player as part of their package. Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that the "talks have momentum," but according to the NY Times the deal couldn't officially be completed until the Pierce's contract is guaranteed and the trade moratorium is lifted on July 10.

The Cavs, Wolves and Sixers have completed the Kevin Love trade.

We all know the details and the only difference is that the Wolves will get a $6.3 million trade exception, not the $4 million reported yesterday. In case you weren't around the past month, the Cavs get Kevin Love; the Wolves get Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Thaddeus Young and that aforementioned trade exception; and the Sixers get Luc Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved and a 2015 first-round pick.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski said Derrick Rose "feels very confident" about playing with Team USA.

"These guys want to play with him. That's part of getting back ... to be around a group of your peers," Krzyzewski said. Coach Tom Thibodeau is an assist with the team, so he's likely been a consultant for Coach K with Rose. Both coaches seem to have the belief that the extra playing time will only help Rose get back from only playing in 10 regular season games since April of 2012. He's certainly a candidate for MVP, but he's a really risky target for where we'd expect him to be selected in drafts.

Anthony Davis, Derrick Rose, Stephen Curry and James Harden headlined the release of the 2014 Team USA Basketball roster on Friday.

Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving, DeMar DeRozan, Kenneth Faried, and DeMarcus Cousins all made the squad, though Cousins' status appeared to be in doubt for much of the time. Rudy Gay and Andre Drummond also made the team, as did the ever-so-controversial Mason Plumlee. Damian Lillard, Chandler Parsons, Kyle Korver and Gordon Hayward were among the final cuts. Team USA will be the favorites in Spain, but this is undeniably one of the weaker teams we've seen in a while.

Gordon Hayward will not make the Team USA roster when cuts are announced on Saturday according to ESPN.

This news isn't too surprising as he hasn't seen much action lately and is a cut below other players that are on the bubble. Regardless, the experience bodes well for him as he takes his big contract into next season.

The Kevin Love trade has officially been agreed upon, and the teams are now just awaiting approval from the league.

The trade is a three-team deal in which Minnesota will send Luc Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved (both expiring contracts) and a 2015 first-round pick (via the Miami Heat) to Philadelphia, in exchange for Thaddeus Young and a trade exception worth $4 million. And Cleveland will send two number one overall picks in Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota in exchange for Kevin Love. Wiggins figures to be a primary option on the offensive end in Minnesota, and he'll be a mid-round target heading into this year's draft. Bennett showed promise during Summer League, but the fact he'll be playing behind Young makes him more of a late-round flier in standard leagues. Love will still be an elite talent in Cleveland, but it's unlikely he will be able to sustain his 26.1 points per game while playing alongside Kyrie Irving and LeBron James.

The Wolves will receive a trade exception worth $4 million along with Thaddeus Young, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in the Kevin Love three-team deal expected to be completed on Saturday.

While Love is quite a player, that's a really nice haul for the Wolves. Young will join the Wolves in a very similar role in an up-tempo system with a point guard who is a sub-par scorer. His fantasy value doesn't take a major hit and he's still a solid target in the middle rounds. On the other hand, Bennett, Nikola Pekovic and Gorgui Dieng aren't quite as alluring with Thad around.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are unlikely to reach a deal on an extension with Reggie Jackson before the October 31 deadline, according to NewsOK.com

The Thunder would prefer to lock Jackson up now as he is set to be a restricted free agent after the 2014-15 season, the team, but that scenario is looking unlikely according to NewsOK.com's report. The 23-year-old averaged 13.1 points, 1.0 three-pointers, 3.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.1 steals during the 2013-14 season, but his fantasy value is a tad limited as long as Russell Westbrook is healthy.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that it remains up to NBA stars to make a personal decision on whether to play for their country.

The combination of Paul George's knee injury, Kevin Durant's withdrawal from Team USA, and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban's recent comments led Silver to comment on international play. "It is a big risk without enormous financial reward," Silver said. "I'll only reiterate that ultimately it is a personal decision for these players." Silver added that he expects the topic to come up at the competition meeting and Board of Governor's meeting, but it doesn't sound like the commissioner will be pushing an anti-international play agenda.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said he expects Derrick Rose (soreness) to practice on Thursday and play on Friday vs. Puerto Rico.

He went through shootaround on Wednesday, but the team held him out of action in the game. During NBATV's Wednesday broadcast, Coach Thibs did mention he may have sat Rose out because he wanted to get a look at some players, so that does make sense. If Rose does sit out of practice on Thursday, that could be a red flag. Stay tuned.

Kyrie Irving looked phenomenal vs. the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, making all five of his field goal attempts for 12 points with five assists and two 3-pointers.

He made it looked easy out there and nobody could cover him. Irving looked sharp and didn't take bad shots in the easy win. He hasn't been the most efficient point guard in the NBA, but that could change now that he'll have some help in Cleveland. We'd expect his fantasy value to take a bit of a hit along with his usage rate.

Julius Randle will "get plenty of chances to play a lot of minutes," according to coach Byron Scott.

"We know he’s a rookie and needs to develop, and a lot of that will come in training camp and in practice," Scott said. "I think he’ll do just that." The addition of Carlos Boozer casts some doubt on Randle's outlook in his rookie season, but there is still a lot to like after he looked great in Las Vegas. He's a solid late-round target in standard leagues, as long as you're able to exercise some patience.
