Andrei Kirilenko has opted out of the final year of his contract and will be a free agent.

Kirilenko had a player option for the 2013-14 season worth $10.2 million but is in search of a three- or four-year deal in what he believes might be his last chance at a big-time contract. According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Wolves aren't likely to offer Kirilenko anything more than a two-year deal worth less than $10 million per season. Minnesota also drafted swingman Shabazz Muhammad in the first round Thursday night and the rookie could end up stepping in and replacing Kirilenko next season.

Brandon Knight underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle on Friday and he is expected to make a full recovery.

We don't have many details on the surgery, but it's likely a minor procedure. Knight missed the final 11 games of the season because of his ankle, so it will be interesting to see if this has an impact on his market during restricted free agency. Knight is "optimistic" about returning to Phoenix, and it seems unlikely that they would let him walk after giving up so many assets to acquire him this season. We will provide further details as soon as we know more.
Apr 18 - 1:15 PM

Mike Conley (foot) continues to make progress, and he believes he will hear his name announced in the starting lineup on Sunday vs. the Blazers.

Conley returned to practice on Friday, and it's clear that the time on the shelf sped up his recovery. He added that his foot is still sore every morning, but he does feel better when he moves around. It sounds like he will be a game-time decision, but we should have an official update after the team's shootaround on Sunday. Beno Udrih will move back to the bench if Conley plays.
Apr 18 - 1:10 PM

Mike Scott (back) made it through practice on Saturday and is expected to be available for Sunday's game vs. the Nets.

Scott has been a key contributor off the bench for the Hawks, and his presence is even more important considering Paul Millsap isn't 100 percent. We will have another update after shootaround Sunday, but things are definitely looking up for Atlanta.
Apr 18 - 1:00 PM

Tony Allen (hamstring) plans to play on Sunday vs. the Blazers despite not being 100 percent.

"I feel alright," Allen said. "I'm getting better day by day. I'm far from where I want to be, but I can tolerate the little pain I'm having." Allen is a warrior and it will take a lot for him to miss Sunday's game, so we expect to see him out there. We will consider him a game-time decision for now, but we should know more after shootaround. If Allen continues to sit out, Courtney Lee, Vince Carter and Jeff Green will have to step up.
Apr 18 - 12:58 PM

Updating a previous report, Chandler Parsons (knee) said that he will definitely be in the starting lineup vs. the Rockets on Saturday.

Parsons said he had no setbacks after practicing in full on Friday, and the Mavericks will be thrilled to see him back after he missed the last six games of the season. His minutes might be held in check, but he is expected to spend some time defending James Harden. Richard Jefferson moves to the bench following this news while Al-Farouq Aminu should see a decreased role.
Apr 18 - 12:48 PM

Nene (shoulder, ankle, foot) will start vs. the Raptors on Saturday.

Nene missed the last two games of the season, and he is still probably not 100 percent. Paul Pierce is expected to see some time as the stretch four, so Nene's minutes will likely be held in check for the time being. The good news is that Nene will be going up against Tyler Hansbrough to start the game.
Apr 18 - 12:18 PM

Tyler Hansbrough will continue to start over Amir Johnson against the Wizards on Saturday.

Johnson recently returned from an ankle injury and has come off the bench for the last two games, but it is a little surprising to see head coach Dwane Casey go with Psycho T again. Johnson should still see minutes in the mid 20s, but owners in daily leagues should probably avoid both players for now. Hansbrough started the last six games of the regular season, so the Raptors are probably just looking for some continuity.
Apr 18 - 12:12 PM

Jerryd Bayless (sore neck) and Jared Dudley (back) will play vs. the Bulls on Saturday.

Bayless missed Wednesday's regular-season finale vs. the Celtics because of his sore neck, but he has since returned to practice and was never in danger of missing this contest. He averages over 22 minutes per game off the bench, and his return will likely push rookie Tyler Ennis out of the rotation.
Apr 18 - 11:46 AM

Kirk Hinrich (knee) will not play on Saturday against the Bucks, and it is unclear if he will be able to play in Game 2 on Monday.

He has reportedly "plateaued" in his rehab, so it looks like he could miss more time. With Hinrich out of commission, Tony Snell will see some minutes in the rotation Saturday. We will update Hinrich's status when we know more.
Apr 18 - 11:24 AM

Derrick Rose (knee), Joakim Noah (hamstring) and Taj Gibson (shoulder) are good to go for Saturday's game vs. the Bucks.

Rose scared the Bulls when he left Wednesday's regular-season finale vs. the Hawks with knee soreness, but he made it clear that he sat out as a precaution. Rose made it through a full practice on Friday and his minutes could be on the rise in the playoffs. We will let you know how he holds up after the game. For what it's worth, this will be his first playoff series since the 2011-12 season.
Apr 18 - 11:21 AM

Joel Embiid was reportedly fined thousands of dollars for showing up late and missing multiple rehab sessions this season.

Head coach Brett Brown recently said that he questioned Embiid's work ethic at times this season, so this report likely has some validity. This is definitely a story that he will continue to follow, and if you factor in the uncertainties surrounding his foot injury, he will be a high-risk, high-reward option next season. Hopefully, we will get a good chance to evaluate him at the summer league if he is cleared to play.
