Peter Vescey said on Twitter Tuesday that his sources suggest Dwight Howard will make his "decision" on Friday, in regards to what team he'll be joining next season.

The Rockets are the favorites, the Lakers make a lot of sense, and the Mavericks, Hawks and Warriors are also in play. We're thinking Rockets, but wouldn't be surprised regardless of where Howard ends up. He's historically had a difficult time making up his mind and it can be argued that free agency won't truly start until he lets the world know where he's going.

The Lakers and Timofey Mozgov have agreed to four-year, $65 million deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

He's the first unrestricted deal to get done, which is saying something for a guy who saw four DNP-CDs in the final 10 games of the postseason. The Lakers really needed a center, so this is what they believed his market value would be. Mozgov's annual average salary will in the neighborhood of John Wall, who voiced his displeasure about Reggie Jackson matching his pay. Obviously, these contracts will be huge this month. Expect Mozgov to get more minutes with the Lakers than with the Cavs.
Jul 1 - 1:15 AM

According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, the Lakers are interested in free agent forward Evan Turner.

Additionally, the interest is said to be mutual. Turner is drawing a ton of interest and has been linked to the Pelicans, Bulls, Knicks and Celtics, so he's going to get a serious paycheck. In terms of fantasy value, the Lakers would be a great spot for Turner given their lack of depth on the wings.
Jul 1 - 1:12 AM

The Jazz are expected to be very aggressive on unrestricted free agent Luol Deng, according to Adrian Wojnarowski on The Vertical Free Agent Show.

The report adds the Clippers and Wolves are interested. The Jazz have a decent amount of wings, but do need a little depth at small forward. Rodney Hood broke out last year as one of the main ball-handlers and played very well next to Gordon Hayward, so they are solid in the first unit. Deng's 32.4 minutes per game from last season would likely drop as he heads into his age-31 season.
Jul 1 - 12:56 AM

Unrestricted free agent Chandler Parsons is meeting with the Blazers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

According to the report, the Blazers are going to offer a four-year max. General manager Neil Olshey, coach Terry Stotts, Damian Lillard and owner Paul Allen will be meeting with Parsons. He's done with Dallas and the Blazers seem to be the heavy favorite to add him. Signing Parsons would make it less likely the Blazers can re-sign Allen Crabbe and/or Moe Harkless.
Jul 1 - 12:42 AM

The Nets are "making a push" for restricted free agent Allen Crabbe, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.

The Blazers are almost certainly going to match, assuming they don't land a big-name free agent. Crabbe is widely viewed as an underrated wing for his defense and improved shooting. Plus, his ball-handling improved dating back to 2015 Summer League. He played 31.0 minutes per game in the Warriors postseason series and grew throughout the year, too.
Jul 1 - 12:34 AM

The Wizards and free agent Bradley Beal are reportedly "nearing" agreement on a five-year, $128 million maximum contract.

Washington has long been expected to offer Beal a max deal, despite recurring leg injuries that forced him to miss 27 games last season. By quickly reaching an agreement but officially signing Beal late in free agency, they can also proceed with roughly $30 million in cap space to spend elsewhere. All signs point to the Wizards locking up Beal for the long-haul.
Jul 1 - 12:31 AM

Unrestricted free agent Joakim Noah and the Knicks are in discussions on the framework of a deal in range of four years, $70 million-plus, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Interesting. It's very odd to see a team offer four years on Noah, who really has struggled to stay healthy and is now 31 years old. There are also a decent amount of centers out there on the market, so investing this amount of money this early is surprising. The Knicks and Noah are expected to meet in Orlando on Friday.
Jul 1 - 12:16 AM

The Lakers are making a serious run at free agent center Timofey Mozgov according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

The Lakers only have one center under contract in rookie Ivica Zubac, so this would be a nice landing spot for Mozgov. With that said, Mozgov looked like a shell of himself in Cleveland last season and eventually fell out of the rotation, posting averages of 6.3 points, 4.4 boards and 0.8 blocks in 17.4 minutes. Wojnarowski is reporting that the Lakers are in serious talks on the framework of a four-year, $65 million deal.
Jul 1 - 12:10 AM

Unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore planned to hold off meetings until July 5, but is meeting with the Rockets, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

James Harden is attending the meeting with Bazemore. The Rockets could have some money to spend with Dwight Howard not coming back, but adding a wing isn't the highest priority. Although, coach Mike D'Antoni's system would be great for Bazemore. He is likely going to get a salary in the teens per year.
Jul 1 - 12:08 AM

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Andre Drummond is expected to quickly agree to terms on a new deal with the Pistons.

Berger also indicated that the Drummond deal could be one of the first agreements once free agency officially begins. This was the expectation all along since Drummond is a restricted free agent, and the big man is fully expected to receive a max deal unless the Pistons convinced him to take a slight discount.

Oklahoma City "continues to probe" for potential trade partners on Enes Kanter to free up money for a run at unrestricted free agent Al Horford, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Things are starting to pick up on Horford here, especially with the Thunder now very likely to keep Kevin Durant. The Thunder knew they had a lot of money tied up in Kanter, which somewhat explains their reasoning on Serge Ibaka. Kanter's fantasy value would be much, much better on another team. Kanter does have a veto power on this, so a lot needs to happen here.
