Josh Smith has agreed to a four-year, $56 million deal with the Pistons.

His name was popping up all over the NBA landscape with some contenders and Smith opted to sign with the Pistons for $14.0 million per year. Detroit has two terrific budding big men with Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond, which suggests that J-Smoove will be their small forward. Smith has a knack for taking bad shots when he's further from the basket and made just 30.1 percent of his jumpers last season including the playoffs. The 27-year-old forward could be a big component of Detroit's offense, but his percentages are going to be a negative to his stat lines.

Deron Williams (illness) will play Sunday vs. the Lakers.

Williams struggled badly in his last outing, but he'll look to bounce-back today with a very favorable matchup against the Lakers. Go ahead and get him active, and those that were expecting big minutes for Jarret Jack should probably temper their expectations.
Mar 29 - 2:25 PM

Ed Davis (rest) will not play Sunday vs. the Nets.

With Davis and Carlos Boozer being given the day off, Tarik Black, Ryan Kelly, and Jordan Hill will all have the opportunity for some extended minutes. Kelly is good for some 3-pointers, while Hill can put up some points and rebounds, while Black can be viewed as a rebounding and shot blocking specialist in extremely deep leagues.
Mar 29 - 2:19 PM

Carlos Boozer (rest) will sit out Sunday's game vs. the Nets.

Despite being healthy, Boozer has spent the past three games on the sidelines as the Lakers try to improve their odds in the draft lottery. There's a chance he returns to the lineup on Monday vs. the 76ers, but at this point in the fantasy season, Boozer belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.
Mar 29 - 2:15 PM

Jordan Hill will be available to play for Sunday's game vs. the Nets.

Hill will likely come off the bench today, but with season averages of 12.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a reserve, he should be able to put up some low-end stats for owners in deep leagues. He'll likely take away some minutes from Tarik Black and Robert Sacre.
Mar 29 - 2:11 PM

Wayne Ellington will start at shooting guard for Sunday's game vs. the Nets with Jeremy Lin (illness) unavailable.

With Lin out today, Ellington and Jordan Clarkson are going to be forced into heavy minutes with a very favorable matchup against the Nets. Jabari Brown will also have the opportunity to log extended minutes off the bench, but Clarkson and Ellington are the guys that should be targeted in daily leagues.
Mar 29 - 2:08 PM

Deron Williams (illness) is a game-time decision vs. the Lakers on Sunday.

He clearly wasn't 100 percent vs. the Cavaliers on Friday and did not participate in practice on Saturday, but the Nets are desperate for a playoff berth and Williams will likely do everything he can to play. If Williams decides to sit this one out Jarrett Jack will see huge minutes and would be a must-start option in all leagues. Expect another update prior to tip-off.
Mar 29 - 1:49 PM

Jeremy Lin (illness) will not play vs. the Nets on Sunday.

He is dealing with an upper respiratory infection, so hopefully he recovers in time for Monday's game vs. the 76ers. With Lin out of the lineup, Jordan Clarkson will likely log all the minute he can handle at point guard, while Wayne Ellington and Jabari Brown should also see some extra minutes on the wing. We will update Lin's status as soon as we know more.
Mar 29 - 1:41 PM

Brandon Knight (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Thunder.

Knight went through a pretty strenuous practice on Saturday and said that he feels like his explosion is back. The Suns desperately need to beat the Thunder to stay alive in the playoff hunt, so there is a good chance that Knight gives it a go. He will likely be a game-time decision again tonight, so his owners will want to check back for an update before activating him in lineups. If Knight is unable to play, Marcus Morris will be the primary beneficiary while Archie Goodwin will see more minutes as well.
Mar 29 - 1:02 PM

Richard Jefferson will start in place of Monta Ellis (calf) vs. the Pacers on Sunday.

Ellis doesn't have a timetable to return, meaning Jefferson could get some decent run down the stretch for the Mavericks. In 11 previous starts this season Jefferson has posted averages of 10.5 points, 5.5 boards and 1.8 3-pointers, so he is certainly worth a look in most leagues.
Mar 29 - 12:12 PM

Monta Ellis (calf) has officially been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Pacers, and Richard Jefferson will draw the start at shooting guard.

Ellis had played in 237 consecutive games before the injury, so it's obviously a huge blow for his owners who are in the middle of fantasy playoffs. Ellis is off crutches, but he is still in a lot of pain and doesn't have a timetable to return. We will update his status once we know more, but the Mavericks will probably proceed with caution. Jefferson is worth a look in deeper leagues for owners in need of short-term value, while Rajon Rondo and Devin Harris will likely see a boost in value as well with the added responsibility on offense.
Mar 29 - 11:58 AM

J.J. Barea (ankle) will not be able to play vs. the Pacers on Sunday.

The Mavericks desperately could have used Barea tonight with Monta Ellis (calf) out of commission, but instead they will have to lean on Rajon Rondo, Devin Harris, Richard Jefferson and Raymond Felton. This will be Barea's fourth consecutive game on the sidelines, and considering he is still experiencing soreness in his ankle, the Mavericks won't be in a hurry to rush him back.
