The Jazz signed rookie Trey Burke on Saturday.

He will make $5.0 million over next 2 years, then Utah will have options on the third and fourth year. The team has been singing his praises since drafting him and they did an outstanding job in grabbing him with the ninth pick. Burke has a tremendous opportunity with the Jazz, so much so that he's considered to be the favorite for Rookie of the Year. He'll be one of the most interesting players to watch in Orlando Summer League this coming week.

Kyrie Irving matched his season-high of 38 points in a win over the Pistons on Tuesday, adding six assists, three boards, three steals, one block and six 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

The six 3-pointers were also a season-high, and his owners have got to be thrilled with this line. Irving has been an elite fantasy asset this season, and one of the main reasons why is because he has only missed a total of three games. If he continues to stay healthy, there is no reason to think that his numbers won't continue to improve as the Cavs try to surge up the standings in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks intend to sign forward Kenyon Martin to a rest-of-season deal in the coming days.

Martin's 10-day contract is about to expire, but the Bucks have an obvious need for frontcourt depth due to the prolonged absence of Larry Sanders. However, Martin's role has been very limited so there is no reason to consider adding him in almost any league. We will provide further details as needed.

Kevin Love scored just seven points on 3-of-11 shooting in a win over the Pistons on Tuesday, adding eight boards, four assists and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

He reportedly experienced some dizzy spells during Sunday's game against the Thunder, so there is a strong chance that he wasn't at 100 percent tonight. We will update his status if any new developments occur, but it doesn't appear that he will miss any time. This was his seventh game of the season in which he failed to score in double digits, so his owners can only hope that Love starts to turn things around soon.
Jan 27 - 10:53 PM

Kevin Durant (toe) remains day-to-day, but his status for Wednesday's game against the Knicks is still up in the air.

The injury was never though to be serious, but the Thunder have every right to be cautious with their franchise player after he missed the beginning of the season with a fracture in his foot. We should know more about his status after shootaround Wednesday morning, so owners will have to check back then for updates. If Durant can't go Perry Jones will likely draw another start, but he isn't a reliable option in most leagues.
Jan 27 - 10:43 PM

Andrew Bogut was scratched from the starting lineup at the last minute on Tuesday due to flu-like symptoms, shifting Marreese Speights into the Warriors' starting lineup.

Bogut was actually announced with the starters so this is terrible news for any owners who had him active in lineups. We will go ahead and consider Bogut questionable for Friday's game against Utah, but he should have plenty of time to recover for that one.
Jan 27 - 10:43 PM

LeBron James tweaked his wrist on Tuesday vs. the Pistons, but remained in the game to the tune of 32 points, seven assists, six boards and one steal in 36 minutes to lead the Cavaliers to their seventh straight win.

He landed on his wrist awkwardly and immediately grasped at it in pain, but he said after the game that it was simply a "stinger" so he shouldn't be in danger of missing any time. The Cavaliers are much more aggressive when James is on the floor and his return from knee and back soreness earlier this month has helped them pick up some serious steam in the Eastern Conference. Expect him to keep up his torrid pace on Wednesday vs. Portland.
Jan 27 - 10:35 PM

John Wall (sore Achilles) will start vs. the Lakers on Tuesday.

He was a game-time decision and the Wizards announced his availability literally a minute before the 10:30 start time. Fantasy owners who went out on a limb should expect at least three quarters of terrific production before the game gets out of hand, while those who gambled on Garrett Temple or Andre Miller are left regretting the decision.
Jan 27 - 10:29 PM

Hassan Whiteside started Tuesday's game with Chris Anderson (elbow) unavailable, scoring 16 points with 16 rebounds, one assist, one steal and zero blocks in a season-high 36 minutes.

He received some amusing 'MVP' chants from the adoring home crowd and continues to make his mark on the NBA after years of obscurity, making Whiteside one of the best stories in the league this season. Miami is firmly committed to his season-long development and fantasy owners have to be thrilled with his playing time tonight -- unlike some other young centers like Jusuf Nurkic, Whiteside could temper his fouls enough to hold down heavy minutes.
Jan 27 - 10:27 PM

D.J. Augustin had another solid game as the starting point guard for Detroit on Tuesday, scoring 19 points with nine assists, four boards, two steals and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

He is coming off a career-high 35-point game on Sunday, so it looks like it's safe to assume that he will be a must-own player for the rest of the season. Even if the Pistons bring in a third point guard, Augustin will likely have no serious competition for the starting job and should maintain value as the season progresses. Congrats are in order if you were able to pluck him off the waiver wire.
Jan 27 - 10:23 PM

Mario Chalmers' upward trend continued on Tuesday with 21 points on 6-of-9 FGs and 8-of-12 FTs, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, eight assists, one block and only one turnover.

He's shooting just 40.2 percent this season but is knocking down 50.0 percent of his attempts over the past five games, and continues to hold off Shabazz Napier and Norris Cole for the starting PG job. Dwyane Wade suffered yet another hamstring injury on Tuesday, which should ensure Chalmers a bigger role for any games Wade misses, so don't hesitate to pluck him off the waiver wire.
Jan 27 - 10:23 PM

Danny Granger knocked down his 1,000th career 3-pointer while starting in place of Luol Deng (calf) on Tuesday, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 36 minutes.

The minutes were easily a season-high and Granger is an uninspiring option even when Deng is on the sidelines. He picked up a DNP-CD in Miami's last game and the only positive for deep-league owners is that he's been able to stay healthy for most of the season. That said, he's worth at least considering if Deng and Dwyane Wade (hammy) are both ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Mavs.
