Khris Middleton (ankle) and Slava Kravtsov (groin) will not play on Thursday.

Neither injury is expected to keep each player out for very long. Middleton was sporting a walking boot, but it shouldn't affect his chances of keeping minutes. However, the Pistons have a little more depth this year and Middleton might have a tougher time making the team.

Kobe Bryant shot just 8-of-30 in Sunday's loss to the Kings, adding five boards, three assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

If you thought the shooting was bad enough, Bryant managed to turn the ball over nine times and was clearly lumbering around the court. Bryant is without a doubt fatigued, and coach Byron Scott actually hinted that he might opt to rest him for a game soon. Owners may want to sell-high if they still can, because the Lakers are quickly heading for another lost season.

Elfrid Payton struggled in his return to the starting lineup vs. Philadelphia, missing all seven of his field goal attempts to finish with one point, five rebounds, six assists and one steal.

He logged 35 minutes, which is encouraging, but owners should either ignore him or learn to live with low scoring and painful percentages from the field (39.6 percent) and at the FT line (47.0 percent). Most owners, particularly those in roto leagues, should leave him on the waiver wire.

Dwyane Wade (knee) will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine his status for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.

He sat out on Sunday to get some additional rest, but the good news is that he is dealing with a just a bruise to his knee. We will update his status on Monday, but expect Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers to pick up the slack if Wade sits on Tuesday. Stay tuned.
Dec 21 - 8:55 PM

Kyle O'Quinn had eight points, one 3-pointer, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four blocks as Orlando's starting PF on Sunday, despite playing only 26 minutes.

O'Quinn's intriguing versatility have kept him on the fantasy radar all season, and he may finally realize his potential as a starter ahead of Channing Frye. It remains to be seen if this was a permanent change or an experimental shift from coach Jacque Vaughn, but O'Quinn is worth a pickup while we find out.
Dec 21 - 8:53 PM

Nerlens Noel posted his fourth career double-double in Sunday's road win vs. the Magic, scoring 13 points while grabbing 12 rebounds in 32 minutes.

Michael Carter-Williams and Noel got into a heated verbal altercation during the game, but it wasn't anything serious and seemed to light a fire under Noel, who also had an assist, steal and block in the rare victory. He's averaging 8.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.8 blocks over the Sixers' past five games, quickly reminding owners why they tolerated his lousy start to the season.
Dec 21 - 8:47 PM

Eric Bledsoe led the Suns to a win over the Wizards on Sunday, finishing with 17 points, nine boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

He had 25 points with 10 rebounds on Saturday, so hopefully he can keep rebounding and scoring at a high rate. Bledsoe probably won't see more than 30 minutes most nights as long as Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas are healthy, but Bledsoe should continue to be an elite asset moving forward.
Dec 21 - 8:36 PM

Joe Johnson (eye) left Sunday's game against the Pistons, but has since returned and is available to play.

He was poked in his left eye by Josh Smith in the third quarter of Sunday's game, and briefly headed back to the locker room with a trainer. However, he is back on the bench and he looks like he is just fine. We will let you know how he fares after the game.
Dec 21 - 7:34 PM

Greivis Vasquez took advantage of the increased opportunity with Landry Fields (concussion) sidelined on Sunday, and put up 21 points (three 3-pointers), five assists, and four rebounds in a Raptors' win.

Vasquez has been struggling lately coming off the bench, but got things going tonight against a terrible Knicks team. The Knicks often give up big lines to opposing guards, so that can't be discounted with tonight's line. Given how inconsistent Vasquez' has been this year, we'll need to see a couple more games like this before recommending the add in standard leagues.
Dec 21 - 7:33 PM

Kyrie Irving tied his career-high with 12 assists vs. the Grizzlies on Sunday, while adding 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting, one 3-pointer and three rebounds.

Irving committed only two turnovers in 37 minutes and improved efficiency has been a welcome boost for his fantasy value, as he's averaging career-best numbers in True Shooting (56.7 percent) and turnover rate (8.8 percent). His usage rate has predictably fallen off with LeBron James and Kevin Love in town, but that hasn't stopped Irving from producing at a top-15 level in 9-cat leagues.
Dec 21 - 7:14 PM

Jonas Valanciunas only managed to score 10 points on 2-of-6 shooting Sunday, to go with five rebounds, an assists, and zero blocks over 22 minutes of action.

Slow starts are nothing new for Valanciunas, and it's really only a matter of time until he starts to get things going. He averaged 16.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and 0.9 blocks during the month of April last year, so it would be wise to float out some buy-low offers before he starts rolling.
Dec 21 - 7:14 PM

Dion Waiters got hot during Sunday's win over the Grizzlies, finishing with 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, two 3-pointers, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and four turnovers in 28 minutes.

He never left the bench during the second half of Friday's game, but scored 13 of his points in the fourth quarter on Sunday. The Cavs have too many offensive weapons to expect this caliber of performance more than occasionally from Waiters, who hadn't even cracked top-200 fantasy value through Cleveland's first 25 games.
