Timberwolves sign first-round draft pick Shabazz Muhammad.

The Jazz drafted Muahammad with the 14th overall pick but dealt him to the Wolves as part of a deal for No. 9 choice Trey Burke. Muhammad never lived up to the hype at UCLA and is expected to come off the bench in Minnesota. Muhammad recently admitted his father, who drew a lot of criticism for his handling of his son, is no longer part of his "basketball life."

Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Kenneth Faried (ankle) will play on Friday vs. the Nets.

The Nuggets will list their injured players as probable for up to week after they return, so Gallo wasn't in real danger of missing this one. He scored 15 points with six rebounds, four assists, one steal and two turnovers in 30 minutes against the Kings on Thursday and gets to look forward to a great matchup with the Nets.
Feb 24 - 7:38 PM

Alex Len is listed as the starter for Friday against the Bulls.

Well, it looks like the youth movement didn't take long for the Suns. General manager Ryan McDonough mentioned Len will be playing a lot more going forward as the team wants to get a look at Len before he becomes a restricted free agent. Plus, the GM said Tyson Chandler was "phenomenal" about his new role as being more of a coach for the young guys. If you need a big man, you might want to add Len.
Feb 24 - 7:28 PM

Rodney Hood (knee) will return to the starting lineup on Friday vs. Milwaukee and Joe Ingles will return to the bench.

Hood, who has been battling an assortment of injuries all year long, is averaging 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 3-pointers this season. He had missed seven straight games prior to Friday. Hood's return will limit the both Ingles and Joe Johnson's minutes.
Feb 24 - 7:25 PM

Serge Ibaka is starting on Friday vs. the Celtics.

The Raptors are missing Kyle Lowry (wrist), so we won't know for sure how involved Ibaka will be on the offensive end until Toronto is at full strength. Make sure he's in all lineups tonight.
Feb 24 - 7:18 PM

Cory Joseph will start for Kyle Lowry (wrist) against the Celtics on Friday night.

The Raptors will just throw their best point guard in the first unit with Delon Wright and Fred Vanvleet. Lowry had an X-ray on his wrist and will get more evaluation, so he could miss more action. Joseph is worth a look as a speculative add until Lowry gets the all clear.
Feb 24 - 7:16 PM

Victor Oladipo (back) will not play against the Lakers on Friday.

It will be his first game out of the lineup in the 2017 portion of the season. It's a little worrisome that Oladipo is out just after the All-Star break, especially after he logged 37 minutes in his last game on Feb. 15. With him out, Alex Abrines, Doug McDermott and maybe Semaj Christon benefit.
Feb 24 - 7:13 PM

Jaylen Brown (hip) will return to the starting lineup and Marcus Smart will move to the bench against the Raptors on Friday.

It'll be Isaiah Thomas, Brown, Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson and Al Horford. Brown played 24.5 minutes per game as a starting guard with just 9.0 points per game, so he's not really a great fantasy option. His return suggests Smart will be back around 30 minutes tonight.
Feb 24 - 6:44 PM

Thaddeus Young (wrist) and C.J. Miles are in the starting lineup against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Young will get his first action since an ugly fall on Feb. 3. While it is to his shooting wrist, Young didn't have structural damage and the All-Star break likely helped him get close to 100 percent. Get him in your lineups.
Feb 24 - 6:41 PM

Domantas Sabonis will get another start against the Lakers on Friday night.

There is a very good chance this is his last go 'round. Taj Gibson is coming off the bench today and Sabonis just did not show any improvement during his time while Enes Kanter (arm) was out. If you were riding Sabonis in your deep league, go find someone else.
Feb 24 - 6:36 PM

Victor Oladipo (back spasms) is a game-time decision to face the Lakers on Friday.

This is a new injury for Oladipo for his first game after the break, so that's not really a good sign. If he can't play the Thunder may have to turn to Alex Abrines more often, especially with Anthony Morrow in Chicago. Abrines would be a risky play, of course.
Feb 24 - 6:29 PM

Kyle Lowry (right wrist) will not play against the Celtics on Friday night.

Ouch. Coach Dwane Casey said he doesn't know how long Lowry will be out and the team announced he will receive further evaluation over the weekend. Lowry has owned the Celtics this season, but now the Raptors will have to turn to Cory Joseph as their primary scoring one. Although, it is certainly possible Delon Wright or Fred VanVleet get the start. DeMar DeRozan should be very busy tonight.
