Lakers officially sign center Chris Kaman to one-year deal worth the full mini-mid-level exception.

Kaman will take over as one of the Lakers' primary big men with Dwight Howard gone. The former one-time All-Star will look to re-establish himself as a legit NBA center and the Lakers get to keep payroll flexibility for next season.

Michael Beasley (elbow) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game vs. San Antonio.

Beasley will warm up with the intention of playing, and the Heat could sure use him in the lineup with Udonis Haslem (flu) out, and both Chris Andersen (calf, shoulder) and Hassan Whiteside (hand) headed for a game-time call as well. Beasley doesn't offer a lot of upside, so he's not a great guy to target in most leagues despite the potential increased opportunity he'll see tonight. Although it could be hilarious watching him try to defend Tim Duncan.

Greg Monroe (knee) hopes to return for the Pistons' "last five games," according to Stan Van Gundy.

Monroe is slowly ramping up his activity and could return as soon as this weekend, according to SVG, though a return for the final five games would have him in uniform on Wednesday, Apr. 8. Anyone struggling to win this week should look for safer options, but this at least gives some hope to owners holding Monroe until the bitter end.
Mar 31 - 6:47 PM

Updating a previous report, Hassan Whiteside (hand) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup with the Spurs.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra said that if Whiteside can play, it might only be for seven minutes, so he's clearly going to be limited tonight. He's not really capable of using his right hand at all, but Miami is so banged up that they could actually use a one-armed Whiteside even in just a seven-minute stretch. He's a very risky option tonight.
Mar 31 - 6:34 PM

Chris Andersen (calf, shoulder) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs.

Andersen will warm up with the intention of playing tonight, and things will be very interesting for Miami if he can't play. Udonis Haslem (flu) has already been ruled out, and Hassan Whiteside (hand) will be a game-time decision, so there's a chance we see some Michael Beasley at the center spot. Tim Duncan should have any easy time scoring tonight.
Mar 31 - 6:33 PM

Udonis Haslem (flu) will not play Tuesday vs. the Spurs.

Chris Andersen (calf shoulder) and Hassan Whiteside (hand) will warmup with the intention of playing tonight, but both guys are going to be limited, so Erik Spoelstra is going to need to get creative with his rotations tonight with no truly healthy big man on the roster.
Mar 31 - 6:26 PM

Luol Deng (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs.

With Deng out, Henry Walker will have the opportunity for another start, with Michael Beasley and James Ennis seeing extended minutes off the bench. Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic will run the show on offense, and both guys are worth a look in daily leagues. Walker can be viewed as a streamer option for those seeking some 3-point shooting and steals.
Mar 31 - 6:21 PM

Hassan Whiteside (hand) said that pain tolerance will dictate whether he can play.

"It felt weird, but I’m gonna do the best I can," Whiteside said. "You’re gonna see a lot more lefty. As long as I don’t spread my fingers and they keep them taped together, I can’t reopen the stitches. It’s surrounded by a pad, so it can be slapped and everything. It’s just about what I can tolerate on the court with the pain. They cleared me. It’s just the performance and how well I can play." Whiteside remains questionable for tonight's game, but it sounds like even if he does play, he's going to be very limited on the offensive end. Udonis Haslem's won't be worth using in most leagues if Whiteside suits up.
Mar 31 - 6:17 PM

Rodney Stuckey (wrist) will play Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Stuckey will draw a very favorable matchup against the Nets tonight, so make sure you have him on your active roster. C.J. Waton's value takes a hit with Stuckey active.
Mar 31 - 6:12 PM

The Hawks will go with their regular starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. Detroit.

Those that made a speculative add of Shelvin Mack under the assumption that Jeff Teague would be rested for this one should probably look elsewhere for production. It'll be Teague, Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll, Paul Millsap, and Al Horford in the starting lineup tonight, so go ahead and get those guys active.
Mar 31 - 6:08 PM

Thaddeus Young will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. the Pacers, sending Mason Plumlee back to the bench.

Young will not be on a minutes limit tonight, so owners can feel confident plugging him into their active rosters. Plumlee didn't do much during his run with the starting unit, so the demotion to the second unit isn't going to do him any favors. In fact, Plumlee is averaging just 5.1 points and 4.8 rebounds on 43.6 percent shooting as a reserve, so it makes sense to drop him in standard leagues.
Mar 31 - 5:52 PM

Lakers' head coach Byron Scott believes that Jeremy Lin (illness) will be able to play Wednesday vs. the Pelicans.

"I don’t think it’s serious. I think he’s just drained," said Scott. Lin is dealing with an upper respiratory infection, and owners can expect to get another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. If he is able to go, Wayne Ellington will likely head back to the bench, and Jabari Brown may fall out of the rotation. Stay tuned.
