According to Bucks beat writer Gery Woelfel, "Brandon Jennings isn't a happy camper ... [and] a sign-and-trade appears inevitable."

Jennings is a restricted FA who could accept the Bucks' one-year offer and play for a new contract next summer, but there may be an unbridgeable gulf between Jennings and the Bucks. Woelfel's report is unsurprising considering Milwaukee signed Jeff Teague to an offer sheet, a clear snub to Jennings, and this is one of the more important and multi-faceted free agent dramas still playing out in the NBA. If Jennings is traded, the Bucks would presumably get a starting-caliber PG in exchange.

Stephen Curry (left knee) is "still not close to playing," according to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic.

There was video footage released on Thursday of Curry doing full-court work; however, Thompson's sources tell him that Curry "isn't in the final stages of his rehabilitation." Steph will be re-evaluated on Friday, so we should have an update on his status soon. It now seems possible that Curry may miss the start of the second round, especially if both the Warriors and the Pelicans sweep the Spurs and Blazers, respectively.

Coach Mike D'Antoni said that Ryan Anderson (ankle) was probable for Game 3 Saturday night vs. the Wolves.

Anderson initially injured his ankle back on April 3rd. It has cost him the final four games of the regular season and Games 1 and 2 in Houston's first-round matchup vs. Minnesota. Luc Mbah a Moute (shoulder) is also sidelined, but the Rockets have still comfortably taken care of the Wolves in the first two games of the series. Assuming Anderson is cleared to play on Saturday, P.J. Tucker and Gerald Green will see their minutes scaled back.
Apr 20 - 12:36 PM

John Henson (back soreness) is doubtful for Friday's Game 3 vs. Boston.

This is the first we've heard a back issue for Henson. He logged over 37 minutes in each of the first two games of this series, averaging 9.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks. The Bucks will lose their best rim protector if Henson is unable to suit up on Friday night. Thon Maker and Tyler Zeller would see a significant uptick in minutes in his absence. Milwaukee might also choose to go small, and give Jabari Parker additional playing time.
Apr 20 - 10:49 AM

Fred VanVleet (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Game 3 Friday vs. the Wizards.

VanVleet returned to the Raps lineup for Game 2 on Tuesday, but logged just three minutes. Coach Dwane Casey said he "just wasn't' ready." However, FVV told reporters on Thursday that he plans to play in Game 3. "You're gonna have to cut my arm off to get me to not feel like I can play," VanVleet said. C.J. Miles and Delon Wright have played very well off the bench, so Toronto hasn't missed VanVleet yet. We should have an update on his status after Friday's shootaround.

Kevin Durant scored 26 points during a 110-97 win over the Spurs on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, six assists and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

He did tweak his left ankle as he was going for loose ball and he did not return. Although, he didn't have a bad limp and the Warriors had the game in hand. Ankle injuries have been a major problem for the Warriors this year, but for now this one doesn't sound serious. As for the Warriors team, they've now won 18 straight Western Conference games and will go for the sweep on Sunday.
Apr 20 - 12:03 AM

Anthony Davis scored 28 points with 11 boards, two assists, three steals, two blocks and no turnovers in 36 minutes during a 119-102 win over the Blazers to take a dominating 3-0 lead in the series on Thursday.

He did have to go to the locker room at the end of the first quarter because of a minor left thumb injury, but returned for his normal playing time -- he checked out with 7:05 in the fourth thanks to garbage time. Davis did also take a shot to his right side near the basket, but he stayed in the game to shoot the free throws. The Pelicans have some important pieces around AD and their perimeter defense has made The Brow even more valuable as a rim protector. We might get a long series against the Warriors in the second round, assuming the Pelicans win just one more game in their series with the Blazers. Game 4 is at New Orleans on Saturday.
Apr 19 - 11:35 PM

Nikola Mirotic had a playoff career-high 30 points with eight rebounds, two assists, one block, three steals and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Blazers during a Game 3 win on Thursday.

All those Smoothie King Center struggles went away as Niko got off to a hot start to give the Pelicans a massive lead to start the game. He continues to be an outstanding fit with Anthony Davis and he continues to show he's more than just a perimeter player. Plus, his defense doesn't get enough attention. It'll be interesting to see how the Warriors guard him in the second round.
Apr 19 - 11:34 PM

Damian Lillard made 5-of-14 from the field for 20 points with three rebounds, two assists, eight turnovers and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes during a loss to the Pelicans on Thursday.

Yeah, the Blazers are about done and a lot of it is on Dame. He keeps dribbling into double teams and Jrue Holiday has dominated him in basically every facet. Since Game 1, coach Terry Stotts has needed to find a way to get Dame off Jrue and it still hasn't happened yet. The Blazers are down 0-3 and will have to start a miracle comeback in New Orleans on Saturday.
Apr 19 - 11:33 PM

Joel Embiid returned to action with a high-tech mask during a 128-108 win over the Heat in Game 3 on Thursday, scoring 23 points with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

This hero should probably should get a cape to go with the mask. Embiid needed three masks to get through this game with Justise Winslow stepping on one, and a second one breaking after he was fouled on the baseline. Embiid's defensive impact was highly apparent as he changed shots, while he and Ben Simmons put up a whopping 135.0 offensive rating in 24 minutes together. It's also worth a mention that he didn't play the final 1:59, so Embiid was likely headed to 32 minutes had the game been close. With The Process back, a run the NBA Finals could be in the cards for Philly.
Apr 19 - 10:22 PM

Ben Simmons did his thing with 19 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 40 minutes against the Heat during a 128-108 win on Thursday.

He terrorized the Heat with cuts and drives to the basket, and the Heat really don't have anyone who can guard him. Simmons was also 7-of-8 from the line to up his postseason free throw shooting to 75.0 percent -- up from 56.0 in the regular season. He and Joel Embiid were incredible together today with 24 minutes together, posting a 135.0 offensive rating to get them to a +33.7 net rating. This team is going to be really good for a long time.
Apr 19 - 10:16 PM

Justise Winslow scored a playoff career-high 19 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Heat on Thursday.

He was on fire in the first half to get some added minutes throughout the game. Winslow's defense was the best on the team and he even had Dwyane Wade passing up open shots to get Winslow the rock on offense. He's been very good since the break and he will likely see more minutes in Game 4.
