Bucks acquired F Khris Middleton via trade with the Pistons.

Middleton was the Pistons' second-round pick in 2012. As a rookie, he appeared in 27 games, averaging 6.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.6 minutes a night. Middleton actually has a decent chance to crack the Bucks' rotation at small forward, as only Carlos Delfino and Giannis Antetokounmpo are in front of them. They've been hesitant to play Ersan Ilyasova at the "three."

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (shoulder) is a "full go" for training camp.

Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that MKG is in great shape and that he won't be limited in camp. Clifford added that there is a noticeable difference in his range shooting, an encouraging sign because his shooting has always been his biggest weakness. It's a small sample size, but MKG looked great in seven games before the injury last season, averaging 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 54.1 percent shooting from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Coach Mike D'Antoni said James Harden is basically the point guard when he's on the floor.

This isn't a surprise to hear whatsoever. While the perception is that Harden has the ball all the time, the NBA's leader in minutes last year ranked just 13th in time of possession per game last year -- the 12 ahead of him are all point guards. Teammate Eric Gordon has already said Harden can "easily" get double-digit dimes, so his ceiling in fantasy is sky high. He makes a very compelling case as the top pick in standard leagues.

C.J. Wilcox will have some X-rays on his hand on Monday and could be cleared in time for training camp.

He broke his finger over the summer, but it sounds like the Magic are expecting good news. Jodie Meeks (foot) won't be ready for the season opener, so Wilcox will fight for minutes off the bench behind Evan Fournier. His role will be limited, at best.

Aaron Gordon (ankle) will not participate in full-contact drills at the start of training camp.

He tweaked his ankle in a recent workout, but it's not believed to be serious. In fact, Magic GM Rob Hennigan said that Gordon is fully expected to play in the preseason games. Gordon is fine and this shouldn't dissuade owners from spending a mid-round pick on him.

Andre Drummond said he is using virtual reality to improve his free throw percentage.

You can't make this stuff up. Drummond said that he puts on a headset and watches himself making free throws at various angles. "They’re all makes, obviously, so it’s constantly watching myself shoot the same shot, over and over again, and now while I’m out there it’s second nature," he said. Drummond shot 35.5 percent from the line last season, so it's encouraging to see him so devoted to improve despite signing a max deal over the summer. His free throw shooting is the only thing holding him back from being an elite standard-league asset.

Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun is reporting that the Raptors want Pascal Siakam to start at power forward as soon as the 2017-18 season.

Coach Dwane Casey said that Pascal Siakam "might come up and just blow everybody out of the water," but this report makes sense for a couple reasons. The PF spot is currently the Raptors' biggest weakness, and Jared Sullinger and Patrick Patterson are only signed through the 2016-17 season. Siakam will have trouble finding consistent minutes this season, so he's more of a stash in dynasty leagues for now. We'll obviously keep an eye on him during the preseason.

DeMarre Carroll (knee) still isn't 100 percent and his minutes will be monitored at training camp.

He had in-season knee surgery in 2015-16 and battled through a hyperextended elbow, sprained wrist, hip pointer and a twisted ankle. He admitted that he was only 70-75 percent healthy during the playoffs, but it's a concern that he's not 100 percent after several months off. The only bit of good news that Carroll had was that the swelling in his knee is no longer there. He says he's on track for the season opener, but despite his mid-round upside, it's best to let Carroll fall into the later rounds following this report. He averaged 11.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.8 triples in 28 total appearances last season.

Wizards coach Scott Brooks said that the starting SF position is "up for grabs."

While Otto Porter is the heavy favorite to start, Brooks isn't just going to hand him the job with Kelly Oubre ready to take on a larger role. Brooks has said in the past that he's a "big believer" in Porter, so this could simply just be motivation. Porter is still a solid mid-round pick after averaging 11.6 points, 5.2 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 triples last season.

Josh Richardson (right MCL) had his knee brace removed and will be able to do light court work at training camp.

This is wonderful news for the second-year SG and it sounds like his recovery is on schedule. His previous timetable had him returning around the season opener, but it would be understandable if the Heat proceed with caution. Once healthy, Richardson should be the second best fantasy option in Miami's backcourt behind Goran Dragic.
Sep 26 - 10:55 AM

John Wall (knee) will be limited when training camp begins on Tuesday.

The All-Star PG has recently started playing some 3-on-3, but coach Scott Brooks said the team is in "no rush" to bring him back. The Wizards haven't provided a timetable, but previous reports indicated that Wall is hopeful to be ready for the season opener. With that said, Brooks wouldn't even commit to Wall playing in the preseason. Coming off two knee surgeries, fantasy owners may want to let him slide in drafts a bit.

Myles Turner was diagnosed with a concussion after taking an elbow to the head during a workout this week.

Turner is currently in the NBA's concussion protocol and it's not clear when he will be able to return. There's plenty of time for Turner to recover, so this shouldn't impact his value in fantasy drafts. Turner is a breakout candidate after averaging 10.3 points with 6.4 boards and 3.3 blocks during the playoffs last season.
