Mavericks signed F/C DeJuan Blair.

Blair will give the Mavericks a legitimate back up at both big-man positions, allowing Shawn Marion to focus his efforts on playing small forward all season. Blair has potential, but given his quiet role in San Antonio and the depth of the Mavs' front court, we're not expecting a breakout in Dallas this year.

D'Angelo Russell underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery on Friday to remove loose bodies.

Nov 17 - 5:49 PM

Derrick Rose (ankle) will miss at least the next two weeks.

This isn't surprising and the Cavs will just be careful with the oft-injured guard. Iman Shumpert could get some more starts, but Jeff Green ha likely benefited the most because of players moving around. There isn't much to like on adds in fantasy from the Rose news. Also, Channing Frye should play more, so keep an eye on that.
Nov 17 - 5:49 PM

Luke Babbitt (back) and Mike Muscala (ankle) are questionable for Saturday's game against the Celtics.

Babbitt suffered back spasms on Wednesday and did not return. It's also worth a mention he did have back spasms in March, so perhaps the Hawks are extra careful with him. If he's out, the Hawks may wind up shifting Taurean Prince over to the four to allow DeAndre Bembry to play in his return. Tyler Cavanaugh could also be in the rotation after he started the second half on Wednesday.
Nov 17 - 4:50 PM

DeAndre Bembry (wrist) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday against the Celtics.

This is big news for the Hawks and their razor-thin rotation. Both Bembry and Taurean Prince can play several positions, so they're likely going to see a decent amount of minutes on Saturday, especially if Luke Babbitt can't go. Bembry was very impressive this offseason and he's going to be in the rotation on a bad team, so he's an attractive pickup in deeper leagues with some mysterious upside.
Nov 17 - 4:45 PM

Mason Plumlee (core strain) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans.

This is a new injury for Plumlee and it probably happened on Monday with only six minutes against the Blazers. If Plumlee can't play, Kenneth Faried would likely pick up the 10-15 minutes behind Nikola Jokic at center -- Jokic could get in foul trouble against DeMarcus Cousins. Plus, the Nuggets do use two-center lineups at times, so there could be minutes for the perimeter players with Wilson Chandler playing more four at times.
Nov 17 - 4:09 PM

Jonathan Isaac (ankle) is still dealing with swelling and he will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

He did not practice on Friday and it sounds like he could miss more time. With Isaac out, it's been Marreese Speights logging the minutes behind Aaron Gordon while Mario Hezonja was in the rotation for seven minutes in the last one. Isaac is still a decent stash in deeper leagues, especially because he was playing well before the injury.
Nov 17 - 3:51 PM

Larry Nance Jr. (hand) has been cleared to return to practice.

This is awesome news after his Nov. 2 fracture to his hand. Coach Luke Walton said he's surprised how far along Nance is, so there's a small chance he could slightly beat his 4-6 week timetable. Nance was taking shots on Wednesday with a small brace, so he is almost there. It'll be really interesting to see how Kyle Kuzma fits in here, and Nance has played some center in his time. Nance is a low-end stash for now and Kuzma owners shouldn't worry too much.
Nov 17 - 3:10 PM

Gary Harris (right shoulder soreness) will play Friday vs. the Pelicans.

Harris missed two straight games, but practiced in full on Wednesday and has been trending in the right direction since. Harris has yet to take the step forward that many predicted he would coming into this season but we'll see if bounces back following this short respite. Will Barton, Jamal Murray and Emmanuel Mudiay will see their minutes scaled back with Harris returning to the lineup.
Nov 17 - 1:31 PM

The Grizzlies have announced that Mike Conley (Achilles) will miss at least two more weeks.

Here's the full statement from the team: "Conley will undergo therapy and treatment to help promote healing and alleviate soreness in his left heel and Achilles following consultations with physicians. There is no timetable for his return at this time. Further updates will be provided in approximately two weeks." Mario Chalmers is expected to remain the starter while Conley is sidelined. Chalmers is averaging 11.0 points and 6.0 assists in 27.4 over Memphis' last two games. Tyreke Evans will continue to log heavy minutes off the bench as well.
Nov 17 - 1:21 PM

Serge Ibaka (swollen left knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks.

Ibaka missed one game earlier this season due to swelling his right knee, but this is the first time he's popped up on the injury report for an issue with his left knee. Pascal Siakam started in place of Ibaka that one game Serge missed. Norman Powell (hip) is doubtful, and Delon Wright (shoulder) has been ruled out for Friday, so the Raps will really have to shake up their lineup if Ibaka is unable to play. Siakam, OG Anunoby, and C.J. Miles would all see additional minutes.
Nov 17 - 12:26 PM

Steven Adams (calf) will play Friday night vs. San Antonio.

Adams had missed three straight games. Coach Billy Donovan said that Adams will not have a specific minutes limit, but that Adams' playing time would be dependant upon how he felt during the game. With Adams back in the mix, Dakari Johnson will get bumped to the bench, and Jerami Grant will see his minutes reduced as well.
