Carmelo Anthony says the torn labrum in his shoulder has healed and it was his decision to pass on surgery.

Anthony and the Knicks elected to allow the shoulder to heal on its own and Melo said Saturday he's in as good, if not better, shape as he was heading into the London Olympics. As for next season, Melo said he's not focused on the opt-out clause in his contract but acknowledged his "window is closing." Anthony also said he won't be attending Hakeem Olajuwon's big man camp this summer as had been rumored.

Leandro Barbosa suffered a sprained right knee during Sunday's game, and he will not return.

Barbosa didn't immediately leave the game, staying in to shoot free throws and play a few possessions, but he was ruled out upon further examination. Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala should get more playing time in his absence, but fantasy owners should consider him questionable to play Tuesday.
Nov 23 - 8:06 PM

Andrew Bogut suffered an orbital contusion during Sunday's game, and he will not return.

It's not entirely clear when he suffered the injury, but with luck the bruise won't cause him to sit out Tuesday vs. the Heat. If he does miss more time, Marreese Speights would likely start at center with Festus Ezeli as his primary backup.
Nov 23 - 8:01 PM

Chris Andersen went down during the Heat-Hornets game with a sprained right ankle, and he will not return.

Andersen limped his way to the locker room and the injury looked ugly enough that it's unsurprising to see him ruled out for the night. If he misses an extended period of time, his minutes will be split up between Chris Bosh, Shawne Williams, Josh McRoberts and Udonis Haslem.
Nov 23 - 6:44 PM

Tony Allen (illness) will return to the starting lineup on Sunday, sending Tayshaun Prince to the bench.

Allen can be viewed as a steals-specialist as he doesn't contribute much else to the stat sheet, but he does have a favorable matchup today against the Clippers. Get him active if you've got him.
Nov 23 - 5:58 PM

David Lee (hamstring) is targeting a return for Friday vs. the Hornets, or Saturday vs. the Pistons.

It's unclear if Lee would return as a starter or a reserve, but he'd likely be on a minutes restriction during his first couple of games, and given Draymond Green's impressive play it seems likely Lee would come off the bench initially. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, so stay tuned for more updates as we draw closer to Friday's tip.
Nov 23 - 5:46 PM

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) remains without an official timetable for his return, and he's currently not allowed to go through shooting drills, as doctors don't want him jumping.

We'll pass along any updates as they become available, but it's not looking like MKG is anywhere near making a return. While he's out, Gerald Henderson and Gary Neal will continue to see extended minutes, and Neal looks like a solid pickup for owners seeking some 3-point shooting.
Nov 23 - 5:04 PM

Norris Cole (finger) will not play Sunday vs. the Hornets.

Chalmers will draw the start at point guard tonight with Cole sidelined, and he has a favorable matchup vs. the Hornets. Shannon Brown will likely draw another start at shooting guard, and Shabazz Napier will also get some additional run off the bench. Chalmers is looking like a must-start guy for Sunday, and Napier is coming off two solid games making him an attractive plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Brown logged 36 minutes in his last outing, but was only able to turn in seven points and two assists, making him a risky daily league option.
Nov 23 - 4:28 PM

Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Hornets.

That's six games and counting for Wade, and he remains without a definitive return date. Mario Chalmers has been the main beneficiary of Wade's absence, and he's currently averaging 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers with the starting unit. Norris Cole (finger) has also been ruled out for Sunday's game, so Chalmers is going to get all the minutes he can handle.
Nov 23 - 4:23 PM

Roy Hibbert (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. Dallas.

Hibbert sprained his left ankle during Saturday's game and did not return. Owners will want to check back for an official update on his status closer to Monday's tip, but if he's unable to go, Ian Mahinmi would draw the start at center. Mahinmi put up 12 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, one block, and one assist during his last outing, and would make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues if Hibbert is sidelined.
Nov 23 - 3:53 PM

Carlos Boozer (shoulder) is being listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Nuggets.

If Boozer is unable to go, Ed Davis will draw the start, and depending on how Davis fares the move could become permanent. Scott has grown tired of Boozer's uninspired play on the defensive end, as he's currently sitting on a +/- rating of minus-90 on the season. Meanwhile, Davis has been racking up the defensive stats in limited playing time and is currently a plus-6 on the year. If Boozer is unable to suit up Sunday, Davis could see his minutes in the 30s, and would make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues.
Nov 23 - 3:06 PM

Jeremy Lin said that his back is fine and he will suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Nuggets.

The injury was never considered serious, so go ahead and get him in your lineups. Lin is not getting a lot of FGA this year playing next to Kobe Bryant, averaging just 8.0 attempts per game to go with 11.8 points, 4.8 assists, 1.1 three-pointers, and a career-worst 0.8 steals. He's not a must-start guy on a nightly basis, but as the only true starting-caliber point guard in LA, he's worth owning in standard leagues.
