Soon-to-be NBA commissioner Adam Silver recently toured the Bradley Center and told a group of team partners that the arena was unfit for the NBA.

This is no surprise and owner Herb Kohl recently had trouble getting the current lease extended. Of course, Seattle is lurking if Milwaukee can't get an arena built, but prospective owners in Chris Hansen and Steve Ballmer upset many in the league earlier in the year when they used deceptive and overly forceful tactics to try to steal the Kings. Hansen was also caught donating to an anti-arena group in Sacramento -- a big no-no given the billions the league receives in arena subsidies -- and the arena-friendly mayor in Seattle looks like he's losing his election. Still, the clock is ticking Milwaukee and you better get moving.

JaVale McGee looks good in warmups and is expected to make his preseason debut for the Nuggets on Tuesday.

If he can stay healthy and play effectively, he could actually hurt the progression of Timofey Mozgov. However, McGee is just trying to get back into game shape and get his shot going, so we're not too worried about a timeshare just yet. The return of McGee could also work to motivate Mozzy, which may not be a bad thing.

Despite an earlier report that Jeremy Lin would start at point guard for the Lakers on Tuesday, Mark Medina is reporting that Ronnie Price will get the call.

Lin is still expected to play and will come off the bench after missing three straight game with a sprained ankle. Either way, Lin should be a nice, cheap source of dimes and point guard minutes this season.
Oct 21 - 8:25 PM

Chris Kaman is averaging 10.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in his four games off the bench for Portland this preseason.

If you're in a deep league that requires you starting two centers, Kaman may be worth a look at the end of your draft. And if Robin Lopez or LaMarcus Aldridge go down at some point, he'll become a must-own player.

Ty Lawson (hamstring) could play in Friday's preseason finale against the Warriors.

This is good news, as it means he's close to being ready. He is hoping to play in order to keep his conditioning intact, but even if he doesn't play, all signs are him being ready for opening night.
Oct 21 - 7:48 PM

Nate Robinson will start at PG for the Nuggets on Tuesday, in place of injured Ty Lawson (hamstring).

Robinson appears to be fully recovered from his knee surgery, while JaVale McGee is a game-time decision as he makes his way back from a leg injury. Along with Robinson, Arron Afflalo, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and Timofey Mozgov.

The Magic extended the contract of C Nikola Vucevic for four years and $53 million on Tuesday.

That's quite a pay day for the big man, but he's earned it. He's a top fantasy center option agains this season and remains unchallenged for his job or minutes.
Oct 21 - 7:07 PM

Andrew Wiggins will not play on Tuesday after taking a hard fall on his backside in his last game.

"He's sore...at this point he's probably 50-50," Flip Saunders said. Corey Brewer will start in his place, while Wiggins should be considered day-to-day.

An MRI confirmed that Jimmy Butler has sprained thumb ligaments, and he'll be re-evaluated after Chicago's preseason finale on Friday.

This leaves Butler somewhat iffy for the Bulls' season opener, but at least the MRI didn't reveal more serious damage. Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks, Tony Snell and Mike Dunleavy should absorb a few extra minutes until Butler is ready to return, and Hinrich may be the favorite to start at SG in Friday's exhibition.

Paul George shot around following the Pacers' practice on Monday, making jumpers out to the 3-point line.

It's amazing to see George on the court less than three months after suffering a multiple compound fracture to his right leg. Despite his encouraging progress and optimism that he can return if Indiana makes the playoffs, he remains out indefinitely. The Pacers are proceeding as though he won't return during the 2014-15 season, and he's only worth owning if you don't mind stashing him in an IR spot all year.

Kevin Durant said that he won't rush his return from foot surgery, which is expected to sideline him until at least late November.

"I'm sure I'll feel better in two or three weeks, but definitely don't want to rush it and wind up hurting it even more," Durant said. "I'm taking my time with it. I'm just blessed it happened early in the season where I can get past it, and hopefully by December I'll be ready to play." He'll be re-evaluated in late November, guaranteeing that he'll miss a minimum of 17 games to begin the season.

John Wall (left knee tendinitis) said that he'll play in Wednesday's exhibition.

He could have played on Monday but rested as a precaution, which was a big reason reserve guard Garrett Temple logged 42 minutes. Wall is coming off a career-best year with averages of 19.3 points, 1.3 triples, 4.1 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.8 steals, racking up first-round fantasy value with zero DNPs all season.
