Rajon Rondo (knee) went through the non-contact portion of Tuesday's practice.

He led the team in post-practice stretches and still looks to be embracing his leadership role with his new-look team. Rondo doesn't have a timetable to return and hasn't been cleared for contact. He said on Monday that he's mentally ready to return and it doesn't sound like he's going to have a Derrick Rose-like comeback. The uncertainty of his status makes him a gamble in the middle rounds of drafts.

Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) is expected to scrimmage on Nov. 6.

He is targeting a return of Nov. 13 for game action. Carter-Williams hasn't been very positive about his shoulder injury and it's still possible he doesn't hit his target date. He's not a great target in fantasy drafts while Tony Wroten should start off hot.

David West (ankle) did not practice on Saturday.

Beat writer Scott Agness said West's ankle is still swollen while coach Frank Vogel said the team will see how West feels in a couple of days. Basically, his chances of playing on Wednesday are not good, despite being one of the toughest players in the NBA. Chris Copeland and Luis Scola are both worth looks for short-term value.
Oct 25 - 2:20 PM

George Hill (knee contusion) said he wont' know for a couple days if he'll be ready for the opener on Wednesday.

He had a contusion cost him more games than expected last year, so it's certainly possible Hill misses time. He is going to be a huge part of the offense and nothing is structurally wrong, so fantasy owners shouldn't move him too far down their boards.
Oct 25 - 2:03 PM

Brook Lopez (foot) did not practice on Saturday.

There is still some optimism he can suit up against the Celtics on Wednesday, but we don't like his chances. Lopez hurt his foot in a meaningless preseason game and being sidelined at some point almost seems unavoidable. Unless he slides big time, fantasy owners can let someone else deal with him.
Oct 25 - 1:46 PM

Perry Jones III (knee) and Andre Roberson (ankle) did not practice on Saturday.

This is getting ridiculous. While Jones is probably getting a day off, it's still hard to believe how many OKC wings are missing time. Assuming everything is OK, Jones will have some late-round upside in deeper leagues with Anthony Morrow (knee) out to start the season.
Oct 25 - 1:33 PM

Larry Sanders said he hopes to play in the season opener.

He had a surgery earlier this month and has been going through some non-contact practice. In some of the videos of practice, Sanders worked up a good sweat, so he's a little closer to probable. Like most Bucks stories, this is a guessing game and we still don't even know what his surgery was for. He's worth the risk later in drafts and he should be able to fall to you near 100.
Oct 25 - 10:43 AM

Klay Thompson scored 35 points against the Nuggets during a 119-112 win on Friday, making 13-of-26 from the field with three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and four 3-pointers.

Well, someone is playing like they want a max deal. The 3.5 triples per game over his last six games is not a shock, but he has a surprising 1.8 blocks per game in limited playing time over his last four. He did have a massive preseason last year, so fantasy owners shouldn't put too much stock into the past month. However, he's still a terrific guy to take in the fourth round.
Oct 25 - 1:34 AM

Blake Griffin scored 21 points in 25 minutes against the Blazers on Friday with three rebounds, one steal and one turnover.

On the down side, he shot just 1-of-3 from the line, which has been a problem in his last four. Griffin did have a positive stretch after the break at the line, so maybe that was a fluke, or maybe not. Still, he's probably going to be the top scorer at power forward and add other stats, as well.
Oct 25 - 1:07 AM

Jeremy Lin looked great off the bench against the Kings during a 93-92 win with 19 points, one rebound, seven assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

He's going to be a huge factor for the Lakers this season and should get his chance to produce no matter where coach Byron Scott uses him. Fantasy owners should be very aggressive in targeting Lin and he's a nice No. 2 fantasy point guard.
Oct 25 - 12:50 AM

Alec Burks was in attack-mode offensively on Friday, notching 20 points vs. the Suns on 5-of-10 FGs, 2-of-3 three-pointers, and 8-of-11 FTs.

Burks is a clever and quick ball-handler who attacks the paint with abandon, which is part of the reason he attempted 4.8 free throws in just 28 minutes per game last year. His 74.8 percent FT shooting leaves room for improvement, but he's a great target toward the end of fantasy drafts thanks to steady across-the-board contributions and a growing role in the offense.
Oct 24 - 11:47 PM

Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas each played between 28-30 minutes in Friday's preseason finale, with Dragic scoring 18 points on efficient 8-of-11 shooting.

He drained two 3-pointers and had three assists and one steal, but it could be difficult to match last year's averages with Bledsoe healthy and IT3 carving out a big role off the bench. Jeff Hornacek played his three guards simultaneously for a while tonight, which could pay dividends during the season, but it's hard to imagine that being a staple of the Suns' rotation.
