Channing Frye (heart) said that he's targeting a return in December.

"I don’t want to go out there looking like a bum," Frye said. "I want to go out there cooking." It's not going to be easy for Frye to come back after missing an entire season due to an enlarged heart. Although, he's already back at practice and is on the comeback trail, so this does seem like a realistic expectation. He's a sharpshooting stretch four, which means he could emerge as a hot pickup in standard leagues upon his return.

Terrence Jones is starting in place of Anthony Davis on Monday vs. the Cavaliers.

The last time Davis missed a game on Jan. 12, Jones started and went bonkers with 24 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one triple 38 minutes. Jones is an elite handcuff for Davis' owners, but he also has some standalone value which makes him worth owning in standard leagues.
Jan 23 - 8:15 PM

Marvin Williams (right big toe contusion) has returned on Monday vs. the Wizards.

He briefly left the game and went back to the locker room, but he returned to the bench moments later and quickly checked back into the game. We'll have an update after the game, but this sounds very minor. Frank Kaminsky will benefit if this issue lingers.
Jan 23 - 7:44 PM

Steven Adams (concussion) will play on Monday vs. the Jazz.

He returns just in time to face Rudy Gobert. The matchup is brutal, but season-long owners can activate Adams in lineups after a two-game absence. Barring a surprise, Jerami Grant will return to the bench with Adams back in action.
Jan 23 - 7:41 PM

Dewayne Dedmon will start in place of David Lee on Monday vs. the Nets.

It makes sense. The Spurs will need Dedmon's defense against Brook Lopez and this move should keep Lee somewhat fresh for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors. Lee still looks like the better pickup in standard leagues after coming off two straight double-doubles, but Dedmon is worth keeping an eye on if you're searching the wire for blocks.
Jan 23 - 7:32 PM

Kyle Anderson will start at small forward in place of the resting Kawhi Leonard.

Leonard will be back on Tuesday vs. Toronto, so Anderson is not a viable fantasy pickup. In nine previous starts this season, Anderson averaged 3.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steal. We should see a heavy dose of Jonathon Simmons as well.
Jan 23 - 7:29 PM

C.J. Miles will start in place of Glenn Robinson III on Monday vs. the Knicks.

The Pacers have lost two straight games and coach Nate McMillan wants to shake things up. Miles has been held to single-digit points in his last four games, but maybe the move into the first unit will get him going. Put him on your radar if you need 3-pointers.
Jan 23 - 7:23 PM

Jon Leuer is starting on Monday vs. the Hornets, sending Tobias Harris back to the bench.

With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) healthy again, this will be the Pistons' preferred starting lineup going forward. Leuer's numbers in the first unit are actually worse than his numbers as a reserve, so he's just a low-end pickup. As for Harris, his value will be fine no matter what.
Jan 23 - 7:18 PM

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) is starting as expected on Monday vs. the Kings.

He made it through pre-game warmups just fine and there are no indications that he will be limited tonight. Season-long owners can activate KCP in lineups, but keep in mind that the Pistons only play twice in Week 14. Reggie Bullock will return to the bench and Stanley Johnson will lose most of his value as well.
Jan 23 - 7:17 PM

Anthony Davis (quad) has been officially ruled out for Monday's game vs. Cleveland.

Coach Alvin Gentry said on Sunday that he expected Davis to play, but he changed his tune during the pre-game media session in which he called him doubtful. The injury is "basically a charley horse" according to Gentry, but the Pelicans always treat their franchise player with kid gloves. Terrence Jones looks like a strong play in all formats tonight.
Jan 23 - 7:09 PM

Alvin Gentry doesn't anticipate Anthony Davis (quad) being able to play Monday vs. Cleveland.

Gentry hasn't yet officially ruled him out, calling AD a game-time call, but he acknowledged that he doesn't expect Davis to take the court tonight. If Davis is forced to the sidelines, Terrence Jones would move into the starting lineup, and he'd make for an intriguing DFS play. Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday will also shoulder the offensive burden if Davis is out. Stay tuned.
Jan 23 - 6:35 PM

Kawhi Leonard (hand, Nets) will not play on Monday vs. the Nets.

He's resting for "precautionary" reasons against the worst team in the NBA, so Leonard's owners can expect to have him back for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors. With Leonard out, expect to see a lot of Jonathon Simmons and Kyle Anderson at the three.
