Andrew Bogut pulled down 12 rebounds in only 17 minutes in the Warriors’ first preseason game vs. the Lakers.

Bogut has played in 44 games over the past two seasons, but his play on Saturday backed up this summer's glowing reports about his health. If you can deal with the headache of missed games and lousy FT percentages, Bogut is worth targeting in the late rounds of your draft as a rebounding and shot blocking specialist.

Anthony Davis (adductor) will not play against the Clippers on Friday night.

The good news is that he's not dealing with a serious injury, but the Pelicans usually are cautious when it comes to playing their superstar at less than 100 percent. With Davis out, Ryan Anderson will start while Dante Cunningham and Alexis Ajinca should play a little more. Plus, expect to see more of Eric Gordon in the offense.
Jan 30 - 6:26 PM

Rockets' head coach Kevin McHale said he doesn't expect to have Dwight Howard (knee, ankle) back in uniform "for a while."

Things aren't looking good for Dwight. An MRI revealed fluid buildup in his right knee on Wednesday, and there was a report that he was seeking a second opinion and he could miss "extended time" on Thursday. McHale's words go along with the extended absence theme, and it'll be Donatas Motiejunas, Josh Smith, and Terrence Jones seeing a majority of the big man minutes with Howard sidelined.
Jan 30 - 6:21 PM

Chris Andersen (back, elbow) will play against the Mavericks on Friday.

It's still unclear if he's going to start, but it shouldn't really affect Hassan Whiteside's playing time. Andersen will likely see minutes around 20, so he's only a low-end fantasy option in his first game back.
Jan 30 - 6:20 PM

James Johnson (right hamstring) will not play against the Nets on Friday.

He did not play on Tuesday and was limited on Wednesday, but it wasn't because of the injury because he sustained it today at shootaround. Regardless, it's clear that Johnson isn't worth owning now that DeMar DeRozan is back.
Jan 30 - 6:11 PM

LeBron James (wrist) will be a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Kings.

LeBron is going to go through a pregame evaluation, which could change things, but he is still considered doubtful for tonight's game. If James sits, Shawn Marion will likely draw another start at SF, but the main beneficiaries of his absence will be Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. J.R. Smith will also have some more opportunities to create on offense.
Jan 30 - 5:52 PM

DeMarre Carroll will not play against the Blazers on Friday.

He is just banged up and the Hawks will allow him to heal. Carroll has been one of the more efficient small forwards in the NBA and his steals numbers have pushed him to mid-round value on the year. His fantasy owners should bench him tonight and expect him to play on Saturday against the 76ers. Thabo Sefolosha will start.
Jan 30 - 5:52 PM

Mo Williams (personal) will not play against the 76ers on Friday.

Zach LaVine will get another start at point guard. LaVine had one of his best games as a pro on Wednesday and he'll look to keep it going. Williams should be considered as questionable for Saturday against the Cavs. If you're OK with taking some risk because the Wolves will play Lorenzo Brown minutes in the 20s, give LaVine a look as a plug-and-play in a favorable matchup.
Jan 30 - 5:44 PM

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) has been upgraded to probable to face the Cavs on Friday.

There were multiple reports of Cousins ready to go and now he sounds like a very good bet to play for the 7:30 EST start. The last time he faced the Cavs with Timofey Mozgov, DMC put up a line of 26 points, 13 boards, five assists, four steals and three blocks in a blowout loss on Jan. 11. His fantasy owners are going to enjoy tonight.
Jan 30 - 3:51 PM

Mike Dunleavy (ankle) is questionable to play against the Suns on Friday.

Considering how poorly the Bulls were on perimeter defense, one would think coach Tom Thibodeau will want Dunleavy out there. If he does miss his 16th straight game, the Bulls will use more two-PG lineups along with Tony Snell.
Jan 30 - 2:20 PM

Taj Gibson (knee) is probable to play against the Suns on Friday.

He is dealing with right patella tendinitis and it sounds more like a wear-and-tear issue. Gibson played 26 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday and the Bulls might hold him out in the second night of a back-to-back set -- that's not something coach Tom Thibodeau does often and we expect him to play. If he's out, Nikola Mirotic will play more in the late game of the night.
Jan 30 - 2:15 PM

Updating a previous report, Nicolas Batum (wrist) is officially being listed as probable for Friday's game against the Hawks.

Batum said earlier that he plans to play, and all signs are pointing towards him giving it a go. Owners can plan on having Batum available, but should note the difficult matchup against the Hawks.
