Wilson Chandler's strained left hamstring feels better and he intends to practice this week.

The injury was never serious, but Brian Shaw rested him during Sunday's preseason game so that his strain could "completely go away." Shaw has floated the idea of using Chandler as a shooting guard once Danilo Gallinari returns from knee surgery, which lends a perceptible glow to Chandler's fantasy outlook.

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

This is great news for Cousins' owners after he missed the last two games with a sprained left ankle. He'll be slotted back into the Kings' starting lineup and can be activated across all fantasy leagues. Boogie is averaging 23.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.9 blocks over his last eight games and has a favorable matchup against the Knicks on Tuesday.

Melvin Hunt is expected to take over as interim head coach of the Denver Nuggets, according to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post.

The did not have shootaround after firing Brian Shaw on Tuesday, but are expected to address the media later in the afternoon. It will be interesting to see how Hunt (or whoever takes over) adjusts Shaw's inconsistent rotations, but Kenneth Faried's fantasy owners will have to hope that a new head coach helps get the Manimal back on track.
Mar 3 - 1:03 PM

The Denver Nuggets have fired head coach Brian Shaw, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

This move doesn't come as a huge shock as the Denver currently sits at 20-39 with Shaw thish season.. We'll have to wait and see what the Nuggets' plan is for Shaw's replacement, but fantasy owners have to be happy with this news as it's been near impossible to predict Shaw's rotations.
Mar 3 - 12:27 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) is in a walking boot and could miss up to two weeks.

Gibson has already been declared out for the next week, but it's starting to look like his absence could extend into a second week. Nikola Mirotic will see plenty of minutes off the Bulls' bench while Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah will also see a bump in fantasy value.
Mar 3 - 12:14 PM

Russell Westbrook (face) is likely to return to action as soon as Wednesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

This isn't set in stone just yet, but Westbrook is expected to play with a protective mask on Wednesday barring an unforeseen setback. We'll update his status after Wednesday's shootaround, but Westbrook's owners can feel free to slot him back into their lineups while D.J. Augustin will return to the bench.
Mar 3 - 12:01 PM

Kyrie Irving (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game agains the Celtics.

Cavs' head coach David Blatt had previously said that Irving would return to action against the Celtics on Tuesday, so there's a good chance his questionable status turns to probable later in the day. We'll pass along updates as soon as they're available, but Matthew Dellavedova will return to a bench role if Irving does indeed play on Tuesday night.
Mar 3 - 11:42 AM

Kevin Love (illness) missed Tuesday's shootaround, but is probable for Tuesday's game against the Celtics.

While the Cavs told Love to stay home for Tuesday morning's shootaround, the good news for his fantasy owners is that he is still listed as probable to face the Celtics. We'll update Love's status as soon as more information becomes available, but Tristan Thompson would be in line for a value boost if Love's status is downgraded.

Eric Gordon's surprising surge continued in Monday's loss to the Mavs as he scored 18 points on 4-of-11 shooting (including four treys) with five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.

The production isn't surprising as he's been doing this for a while now, posting a top 50-80 month (8/9 cat) with no end in sight. The fact that he has been consistent and healthy is the good part, and it's nice to see him carry some of the weight from that ugly contract the Pelicans signed him to. Tyreke Evans added 17 points, three boards, seven assists, one steal and one three in the loss.
Mar 3 - 12:14 AM

Ricky Rubio nabbed his fourth career triple-double in the Wolves' 110-105 loss to the Clippers on Monday, scoring 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting with 12 rebounds, 11 assists and one steal.

Rubio hit 1-of-4 treys and 7-of-9 free throws and he has returned top 20-40 value over the past month (8/9 cat).

Goran Dragic fought through a back injury and only needed nine shots from the field and less than 15 minutes to score 21 points against the Suns during a 115-98 win on Monday, adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Dragic said he would have sat out against any other team, so chalk this one up to the old revenge game narrative. He was fouled hard and needed to go to the locker room tonight, so he might not be healthy for Wednesday against the Lakers. As for his performance tonight, he became just the second player in the past decade to score 21 points in less than 15 minutes (Kyle Lowry). He should have plenty of big lines on the way, if his back allows him to play.
Mar 2 - 11:54 PM

Gary Neal started for Kevin Martin (illness) on Monday, scoring 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting (including two threes) with a career-high nine rebounds, four assists and one steal in 41 minutes.

If Martin misses another game it wouldn't be surprising to see Neal step right back into Martin's uber-productive role. He won't be this good every night, but he's worth watching closely given Martin's injury risk.
