Al Jefferson had to be helped off the floor in Friday's preseason game against the Heat and the Bobcats say he has a sprained right ankle.

Jefferson will be evaluated on Saturday and the fact that it is an ankle and not a knee injury as some initially feared is some sort of silver lining. We'll keep you updated as the story develops, but if you're drafting in the next 24 hours you may want to give a tiny bump to Cody Zeller and Josh McRoberts.

DeMar DeRozan powered the Raptors to a 100-91 win over the Wizards on Sunday, racking up 33 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two 3-pointers, two steals, one block and two turnovers in 36 minutes.

The Wizards had absolutely no answers for DeRozan, who consistently sliced through Washington's swiss cheese-like defense, generating a majority of his points directly under the rim. In fact, DeRozan iced the game with a ferocious slam (link below) during the closing minutes of the contest, and he shouldn't have much trouble keeping the good times rolling on Wednesday with a very favorable matchup against the Knicks in New York.

Tyson Chandler (illness) and Jared Dudley (knee) will not play vs. the Bulls on Sunday.

Chandler has now missed three straight games. He should be healthy to face the Bucks on Wednesday, but in the meantime Greg Monroe will get another chance to improve his trade value, while Alex Len also picks up extra playing time.
Nov 19 - 6:24 PM

Bradley Beal scored 27 points on 11-of-23 shooting Sunday, to go with five 3-pointers, four rebounds, one assist, one block and an unfortunate five turnovers in 37 minutes.

Beal set the tone early for Washington, playing the entire first quarter while posting a 37.8 usage rate through the first half of action, but the Raptors started bringing double and triple-teams during the second half which really slowed down his production. If John Wall (knee) is again forced to the sidelines on Monday night, look for Beal to continue to operate with a heightened usage rate while taking on some increased playmaking responsibilities.
Nov 19 - 6:22 PM

John Wall (left knee) has a "great chance" of playing vs. the Bucks on Monday, according to coach Scott Brooks.

"Just playing it safe," Brooks said, referring to Wall's DNP on Sunday. "We got three games in four nights, so we’re going to sit him out [Sunday] and see how he feels [Monday]. It’s a great chance there that he will play [Monday]." Wall's knee reportedly swelled up as a side-effect from IVs he received this week to help him recover from an illness, so fortunately it doesn't sound like anything structural. Check for confirmation on Monday afternoon, but it sounds safe to plug Wall into weekly lineups.
Nov 19 - 6:12 PM

Marcin Gortat nearly triple-doubled during Sunday's loss to the Raptors, racking up 12 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and zero turnovers in 35 minutes.

Gortat typically isn't a dime-dropper for the Wizards, but with John Wall (knee) unavailable, Gortat was tasked with some increased playmaking responsibilities. He also finished 6-of-11 from the field, and aside from the assists, this is more or less what owners can expect from Gortat as a low-end, double-double guy with solid percentages.
Nov 19 - 6:11 PM

Tyreke Evans (right shoulder) is listed as 'questionable' for Monday's game vs. the Blazers.

Injuries have been a theme of Evans' career over the past few seasons, but fortunately this doesn't sound serious -- it could also explain his relatively quiet game on Saturday, when he scored just seven points on 3-of-10 shooting in 25 minutes. We'll know more after Monday's shootaround, so check for updates in the afternoon.
Nov 19 - 5:59 PM

Isaiah Thomas (hip) went through an intense workout on Sunday, doing full-court sprints, shooting 3s and running through some 5-on-0 drills.

Thomas said this was the "hardest" he's run so far in his recovery, and that he "felt good for the most part." While the Cavs' haven't officially updated his potential return date, he's completed each stage of his recovery without any setbacks or pauses and is on track to return to the floor by January 1. The next step in Thomas' rehab will be incorporating cutting and change of direction work, so we'll be watching for any updates there.
Nov 19 - 5:16 PM

Omri Casspi will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Nets, with Kevin Durant (ankle) unavailable.

This will be Casspi's first start of the season, and he'll likely be splitting minutes with Andre Iguodala and Nick Young at the three-spot tonight, but at the very least he should be good for some points and triples. Steve Kerr said he was confident that Durant will be back in action for Wednesday's game in OKC, so Casspi's job as a starter should be short-lived.
Nov 19 - 4:38 PM

Pascal Siakam will return to the bench for Sunday's game against the Wizards.

Serge Ibaka (knee) is back in the starting lineup today, and he'll be joined by Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, OG Anunoby and Jonas Valanciunas. Siakam might only see his minutes in the teens tonight with Ibaka back in action, so he can't be considered a viable target in most settings.
Nov 19 - 3:04 PM

Patrick Beverley (sore right knee) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's matchup with the Knicks.

Beverley has spent the past five games on the sidelines, but he's been ramping up his activities at practice and Monday seems like a very realistic potential return date. If he is able to get back out there Sindarius Thornwell will head back to the bench and Juwan Evans could drop from the rotation entirely. Check back for another update following Monday morning's shootaround.
Nov 19 - 2:43 PM

Markieff Morris will be limited to around 24 minutes for Sunday's matchup against Toronto.

The Wizards are still being cautious with Morris following his hernia surgery, so they'll keep his minutes in the lower-20s tonight with this being the first game of a back-to-back set. He's been up-and-down this season playing limited minutes in Washington, but he should be flirting with top-75 value once he's fully up to speed, making him worth a hold in most scenarios.
