The Warriors and Andrew Bogut have begun negotiating a contract extension, according to Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com.

Bogut, in the final year of his current deal, is willing to accept "major concessions" in terms of financial incentives for games-played. That could prove to be key for the oft-injured big man. "Having game incentives — whatever the number is, 60 [games played], 70 ... I have no problem. I think that’s only fair." The extension would mostly likely be three years long, according to the report, though if the numbers aren't right Bogut may choose to forego an extension and test the free agent market next summer.

Tim Hardaway Jr. handed out a career-high five assists against the Bulls on Thursday, adding 23 points, two rebounds, one steal and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

It was just like summer league with the lack of talent on the wings for the Knicks tonight. Hardaway Jr. has really come a long way from his catch-and-shoot days in his rookie season and has become a well-rounded scorer with better passing, as well. He'll need to improve a little more in scoring off the dribble, but his output in triples should give him enough value to keep him owned in standard leagues while Carmelo Anthony (knee) is on the shelf.
Dec 18 - 10:39 PM

Lance Stephenson (hip) will not play against the 76ers on Friday.

He did not travel due to his pelvic sprain and is expected to miss at least another game. With Stephenson out, Gerald Henderson, Gary Neal and Michael Kidd Gilchrist will likely pick up some minutes. Neal is likely to benefit most, especially since he closes out several games for coach Steve Clifford. Stephenson's value can't get much lower than this.
Dec 18 - 9:28 PM

Kevin Durant is expected to get minutes in the mid-30s, according to coach Scott Brooks.

He played 35 minutes on Tuesday and attempted 25 shots from the field, so it's probably safe to say he's back. Durant will be in Anthony Davis' tier for the best player in fantasy hoops in no time.
Dec 18 - 9:15 PM

David Lee (hamstring) is expected to return next week.

The Warriors won't be in a rush to bring him back after he's already aggravated his strain in his first game back. Draymond Green Wally Pipp'd him already, so Lee is not going to get minutes over 26 or so. He's worth a stash and perhaps someone in your league thinks he'll be the same player he was last year.
Dec 18 - 9:05 PM

Johnny O'Bryant will start at power forward against the Kings.

He made his NBA debut on Wednesday and he already making his first start. The Bucks are completely gutted up front and have nobody behind O'Bryant and Zaza Pachulia, so he could get big minutes. Of course, he's only worth a look in very deep leagues. O'Bryant joins Brandon Knight, O.J. Mayo, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Pachulia in the starting unit.
Dec 18 - 9:01 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) will start against the Kings on Thursday.

Everything must have went well in warmups and it must be nice to be a 19-year-old professional basketball player. Antetokounmpo was going off on Wednesday before his injury, so his owners should have decent expectations tonight. He should be owned in all leagues. Khris Middleton takes a hit.
Dec 18 - 8:56 PM

DeMarcus Cousins will start against the Bucks on Thursday with a minutes limit.

He's been out since November and his conditioning probably is not up to speed just yet. Cousins is one of the best offensive big men in the NBA while he's pulling down 12.6 boards and adding 1.5 blocks per game. Even with 20 minutes tonight, his owners should still have him in the lineup.
Dec 18 - 8:23 PM

Andrew Bogut's agent David Bauman speculated that Bogut might be able to return "sometime in January."

"I’m not going to say two, three, four weeks, but that’s probably a reasonable assumption if all goes well, and then he’ll return sometime in January," said Bauman. Bogut will likely be re-evaluated in about a week to see how his knee is responding to treatment, after which the team will decide whether to keep resting him or to undergo another round of PRP injections. Marreese Speights and Draymond Green will help fill the void with Bogut on the sidelines.

Dec 18 - 7:42 PM

Nicolas Batum (left knee contusion, right wrist) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Friday.

This probably has to do with his bad fall from the incident with Larry Sanders on Wednesday. Batum did not miss time, but he does have a history with wrist and knee ailments. If he misses time, C.J. McCollum, Dorell Wright and Will Barton will likely pick up some minutes -- none are great fantasy plays. Batum owners will want to check back on Friday morning.
Dec 18 - 7:22 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play against the Knicks on Thursday.

The Bulls should not need him tonight. Gibson suffered a new injury to his ankle this week, so this is not soreness. Gibson did go through warmups and he's usually pretty tough, so he should be considered a littler closer to probable for Friday. Nikola Mirotic will pick up some extra playing time.
Dec 18 - 7:19 PM

Austin Rivers will start in place of Tyreke Evans (knee) on Thursday.

In his two starts this season, Rivers has made a ridiculous 7.7 percent of his shots from the field, so there is nowhere to go but up. He also has a very tiny usage rate while he's out there with the first unit, but the Pelicans really need help. Rivers is worth a look as a very deep play or a punt in daily.
