Larry Sanders will not practice on Friday and will see a doctor.

A lot of players have been sick this month, but at least this is coming before the season starts. Sanders will have to be a bigger part of the offense and should have no problem increasing his his 9.8 points per game.

Minnesota has signed guard Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, and he is expected to be available to play against the Celtics.

Jan 28 - 12:43 PM

Ricky Rubio (ankle) is listed as out for Wednesday's game vs. the Celtics as expected.

There is simply no telling when we will see Rubio back in action, and all his owners can do is simply wait until we get a positive report. Mo Williams is questionable on Wednesday with a hip injury, meaning rookie Zach LaVine could see big minutes against the Celtics. Stay tuned.
Jan 28 - 12:35 PM

The Utah Jazz have signed Chris Johnson to a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

The Jazz decided against signing Elliot Williams to a new deal, meaning johnson will now have a chance to stake his claim for a spot in Utah's rotation. While Johnson will be available to play on Wednesday, owners in deeper leagues would be advised to use a wait-and-see approach here.
Jan 28 - 12:21 PM

Kevin Durant (toe) will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

It will be his second straight game on the sidelines, and though the injury isn't serious, this has to be frustrating for his owners. Durant is still listed as day-to-day, so we will update his status as soon as more details become available. Perry Jones will likely draw another start, but he is too unreliable to use in most leagues. Instead, expect Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka to carry the load for the Thunder tonight, and be sure to give them a long look in daily leagues.
Jan 28 - 12:15 PM

Terrence Jones participated in shootaround, and he will likely be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Rockets coach Kevin McHale is a huge fan of Jones' game, but after missing nearly three months of action he will likely be eased into action upon his return. Jones is more than worth a flier in deeper leagues, but it will be interesting to see how coach McHale tweaks his crowded frontcourt rotation that includes Donatas Motiejunas, Josh Smith and Dwight Howard (ankle).
Jan 28 - 12:06 PM

The Nets released a statement on Wednesday saying that Mirza Teletovic (lungs) will make a full recovery.

He obviously won't play again this season, but this is fantastic news and hopefully this means we will see him back out on the court soon. Teletovic is flying home to New York on Wednesday, and we will continue to track his progress every step of the way. Expect Cory Jefferson, Bojan Bogdanovic and Brook Lopez to see some extra minutes for the foreseeable future.
Jan 28 - 11:58 AM

Jrue Holiday (leg) said that he has no specific timetable for his return, and he remains out indefinitely.

After he missed half of last season with a similar injury, the Pelicans will likely proceed with extreme caution. Holiday should still be stashed in all leagues in the hope that he can return soon, but this report is a little troubling. In the meantime, Tyreke Evans will continue to run the point for New Orleans, while Eric Gordon will handle the ball more as well.
Jan 28 - 11:50 AM

Tyreke Evans (illness) is considered probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Nuggets.

He has take over the starting point guard role in the absence of Jrue Holday (leg), so the Pelicans would be in serious trouble If Evans missed this game. Even though Evans will likely end up playing, owners should check back before tip-off just to be safe. Should he miss any time, Nate Wolters and Jimmer Fredette would see an uptick in minutes at point guard, but still wouldn't be ideal options outside of deeper leagues.
Jan 28 - 11:26 AM

The Bucks have signed Jorge Gutierrez to a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

He actually played for coach Jason Kidd when he was in Brooklyn, so the move does make some sense. However, Gutierrez likely won't be a big part of the rotation, so owners in most leagues can safely leave him on the wire for now. Also, the Bucks did not have to waive another player in order for this deal to work, as Larry Sander's suspension gave them the ability to add another player. If/when Sanders returns, the Bucks will then have to cut ties with somebody.
Jan 28 - 10:37 AM

John Wall is reportedly dealing with a sore left Achilles, minor ankle sprains on both feet, and he was dealing with a migraine during Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers.

"He fought through a lot of different things," coach Randy Wittman said of Wall. "He's beat up a little bit. He's under the weather a little bit. But John loves playing. That's why I love that kid. It takes a lot for him to miss a game." To be clear, Wall is not expected to miss any time, but this simply speaks volumes of his toughness. Wall should get a chance to recover during the All-Star break, so his owners shouldn't be too concerned. Feel free to deploy Wall as normal for now, just be sure to stay tuned for updates.
Jan 28 - 10:20 AM

Al Jefferson will join the starting lineup for Wednesday's game vs. the Spurs.

The Hornets have been bringing Big Al off the bench in order to ease him into action since returning from a groin injury, but Bismack Biyombo's knee injury changed their stance. With an increase in minutes, Jefferson should be considered a must-start option in all formats from here on out.
