Danny Granger suffered a strained left calf in the second half of Friday's game in Chicago and will not return.

This is the second time he's suffered a calf strain and is clearly not back to his old self. Granger was playing well in his 16 minutes, scoring 11 points with three 3-pointers on 4-of-7 shooting. He made it just eight minutes on Wednesday before tapping out. He's probably going to sit out for a couple games and the risk looks to outweigh the reward here.

Chris Bosh (calf) will not suit up for Miami's Christmas Day game vs. Cleveland.

This will be Bosh's seventh consecutive game out of the lineup, and Dwyane Wade will again be the main man on offense for Miami. Expect more minutes for Shawne Williams and Udonis Haslem, with Williams offering the most upside.
Dec 25 - 3:25 PM

Bradley Beal scored 17 points during the Wizards' Christmas Day win over the Knicks, adding five rebounds, five assists, two 3-pointers, one steal, and two turnovers.

Beal has now recorded at least one steal in his past seven outing, and he's currently putting up mid-round value on the year with averages of 15.1 points, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.8 three-pointers per game. He's a primary component of the Wizards’ offense, and will continue to be a reliable source of points, 3-pointers, and steals.
Dec 25 - 3:06 PM

John Wall looked fabulous against the Knicks on Christmas, scoring 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting with 11 assists, six rebounds, one 3-pointer, one steal, and three turnovers.

Wall basically did whatever he wanted today, and the Knicks looked like they didn't get the "no gifts" memo. John Wall currently leads the league with the most 20-point, 10-assist games this season with nine, and he's second in the league in assist per game with 10.4. He's putting up early-round value, and has established himself as an elite point guard in the league. Enjoy.
Dec 25 - 2:57 PM

Festus Ezeli (ankle) has been ruled out for the Warriors Christmas Day game vs. the Clippers, and either Marreese Speights or David Lee will start in his place.

X-rays on Ezeli's ankle came back negative, and he's scheduled to get an MRI on Friday. Ezeli has been starting for the Dubs, but hasn't been doing enough to warrant consideration in most leagues. The Warriors may be forced to give Lee some extended run tonight, and he and Speights look like quality plug-and-play options.
Dec 25 - 2:30 PM

Kevin Durant admitted that he's dealing with a "bad ankle sprain."

"I can't play basketball," said Durant. "I can't run. I can't cut. I can't jump. I'm not just sitting out just because. If I could play I would play. But I can't play." Durant was noncommittal when asked if he thought he would come back soon saying, "it's day-by-day." Durant is looking doubtful for Friday's game vs. Charlotte, and if he's unable to go, Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson will be the primary beneficiaries. Stay tuned.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Kawhi Leonard (hand) remains out indefinitely.

Popovich played coy by saying that Leonard could come back tomorrow, two weeks from now, or even beyond that. Besides the vague statement, Pop did add that Leonard can't injure himself any further, so there is a good chance we see him back on the court sooner rather than later. In the meantime, Manu Ginobili, Kyle Anderson, and Marco Belinelli will continue to see a boost in their fantasy value.
Dec 25 - 1:18 PM

Patty Mills (shoulder) has been cleared to resume basketball activities, but still isn't close to playing in a game.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Mills was cleared to practice two days ago, but Mills isn't expected to see game action until mid-January, at the earliest. He'll only be worth a look by owners in deeper leagues, at least as long as Tony Parker is somewhat healthy.
Dec 25 - 1:14 PM

Thunder head coach Scott Brooks has confirmed Kevin Durant (ankle) as out for Thursday's game against the Spurs.

Durant wasn't expected to play on Thursday, but this news puts an end to any speculation. "He could not go if he wanted to go," Brooks said. The Thunder play the Hornets on Saturday, but Brooks' statement puts Durant's availability in doubt for that game as well. Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson should see the biggest boost on Thursday with Durant out.
Dec 25 - 1:11 PM

Amare Stoudemire (knee) will play against the Wizards on Christmas Day.

Updating a previous item, Stoudemire will indeed suit up against the Wizards on Christmas Day. The Knicks may try to limit his minutes as he's been dealing with knee soreness, but his fantasy owners can feel free to fire up STAT against the Wizards. Cole Aldrich will return to the bench with Stoudemire active.
Dec 25 - 11:59 AM

J.R. Smith (heel) will miss Thursday's game against the Wizards.

Smith went through pre-game warmups, but wasn't feeling well enough to suit up for the Knicks' Christmas Day game against the Wizards. Tim Hardaway Jr. will pickup Smith's minutes and makes for a solid play on Thursday.
Dec 25 - 11:14 AM

J.R. Smith (heel) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Wizards, according to head coach Derek Fisher.

Updating a previous item, it seems as if Smith is feeling well enough to be upgraded from doubtful to a game-time decision. This one looks like it will come down to the wire, but Tim Hardaway Jr. would be the biggest fantasy beneficiary if Smith sits.
