Kyle Lowry suffered an injured left ring finger tendon and it will be protected with a splint for approximately six weeks.

The Raptors won't have him for the rest of the preseason as a precaution. He's going to practice and play in games, so it's not a devastating hit. Although, the injury could affect his already sub-par field goal percentage. Players like Kobe Bryant have played through finger tendon injuries and this is not out of the ordinary. Lowry just can't seem to stay healthy in his career, so he's a risky pick in the middle rounds. Dwight Buycks and D.J. Augustin are battling for the backup point guard spot and coach Dwane Casey has previously said he could play the two based on matchups.

Derrick Rose has a sore right ankle and is questionable to return to Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

It looked like he tweaked his ankle on a drive to the basket. Rose stayed in the game and shot the free throws, but he checked out and went to the locker room. While it didn't look bad, the Knicks will probably play it safe with their point guard. If he's out, it'll be Ron Baker and Chasson Randle getting the PG minutes.

Russell Westbrook turned in his 35th triple-double of the season during a 122-97 win over the 76ers on Wednesday, scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds, 14 assists, two blocks and five turnovers.

Westbrook was 6-of-6 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line to make him the first player in NBA history to drop a triple-double on perfect shooting. Westbrook only had a 19.5 usage rate in this game, which is less than half his season average and is also a season low by a mile. In fact, this was only the second time this season he had a usage rate under 30 in a game. He gets a triple-double date with James Harden on Sunday afternoon.
Mar 23 - 12:21 AM

Kyrie Irving scored 33 points in 27 minutes vs. Denver, making 11-of-22 FGs and 7-of-7 FTs, but it wasn't enough to avoid a 126-113 defeat.

Kyrie went 4-of-5 from downtown with three assists, two rebounds and zero turnovers tonight. LeBron James was also efficient with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting, but offense wasn't the problem -- Cleveland put up no defensive resistance and the Nuggets finished 53.1 percent from the field. They'll try to right the ship in Charlotte on Friday.
Mar 22 - 11:59 PM

J.R. Smith was back in the Cavs' starting five on Wednesday, finishing 1-of-7 from the field with one 3-pointer to score three points.

Smith added three assists, two rebounds and two steals in 21 minutes, but that doesn't compensate for another lousy night shooting the ball. He's a combined 6-of-31 in his past three games, and almost has to be benched in fantasy until he warms up.
Mar 22 - 11:55 PM

Tim Hardaway Jr. got loose on Wednesday, hitting 9-of-16 FGs for a game-high 29 points, three assists, two rebounds, two blocks and one steal.

THJ made three 3-pointers while going 8-of-9 from the FT line, and he didn't commmit a turnover in 36 minutes. He was quiet on Monday with 11 points on 11 shot attempts, but it was just a matter of time before he got hot, especially with extra minutes in the absence of Kent Bazemore (knee).
Mar 22 - 11:34 PM

Paul George scored 37 points in a 109-100 loss to the Celtics on Wednesday, adding five rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and five 3-pointers.

After a down February with only 17.8 points per game, George is on a roll in March. Even before this explosion, he was averaging 25.7 points, 7.7 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.0 treys in his previous 10 outings. George gets another friendly matchup against Denver on Friday, so he may be flirting with 40 for that game, as well.
Mar 22 - 11:09 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne started in place of Robin Lopez (suspension) on Wednesday, finishing with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

With Lopez suspended and Cristiano Felicio (back) out of commission, the Bulls plugged the hole at center with a whole lot of Lauvergne. The fact that they easily won this critical home game could earn him another start, but for now we're assuming that Lopez will reclaim the job on Friday. Prior to this game, Lauvergne had scored 17 points combined in March, and he's been nowhere near standard-league value in Chicago. It's hard to recommend him after one big game in a blowout.
Mar 22 - 10:42 PM

Jimmy Butler went 6-of-6 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line vs. Detroit on Wednesday, finishing with 16 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, two steals and zero turnovers in 34 minutes.

Butler poured in 37 points during an OT loss on Tuesday, and he ranks sixth in the league in minutes per game (36.8), but he certainly didn't let exhaustion impact his play tonight. He also dismissed a left hand/wrist injury, so we're leaving him off the injury report. He's cruising as as a top-10 value in nearly every fantasy format.
Mar 22 - 10:41 PM

Nikola Mirotic went off for a season-high 28 points on Wednesday, going 12-of-15 from the field with four 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and just one turnover in 39 minutes.

We got the 'good' Mirotic tonight, as opposed to the guy who shot a combined 14-of-42 from the field (33.3 percent) in his previous four games. He's averaging just 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.9 blocks in March, while shooting 37.0 percent from the field. Tonight's game is a vivid reminder of his upside, but as every former Mirotic owner already knows, he's wildly inconsistent. Caveat emptor.
Mar 22 - 10:40 PM

Ish Smith moved into Detroit's starting lineup on Wednesday, where he posted nine points, seven assists, three steals, one rebound and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.

Stan Van Gundy threatened lineup changes after Tuesday's loss to the lowly Nets, saying, "We'll find out [Wednesday]," and it wasn't an idle threat. The fact that Detroit got destroyed tonight doesn't help Smith's case, but SVG will probably roll with him for at least a few more games. He's a decent pickup if you missed out on guys like Tyler Ulis and Malcolm Brogdon.
Mar 22 - 10:38 PM

Darren Collison, Buddy Hield, Arron Afflalo, Skal Labissiere and Willie Cauley-Stein are starting against the Bucks on Wednesday.

The Kings are resting Kosta Koufos, so Skal should be getting some good minutes in the first unit. The Kings should also roll with Georgios Papagiannis off the bench. Skal is worth a look in standard leagues.
