Jeff Taylor saw some extra playing time on Thursday and didn't let it go to waste with 20 points, two boards, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers on 7-of-11 shooting.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a hamstring strain to allow Taylor to get the extra run. He was fantastic taking good shots all night and the theme of him being aggressive has been evident since Las Vegas Summer League. Plus, the added 3-point shooting is an interesting asset with the way Gerald Henderson and Kemba Walker get into the lane. Taylor is on the radar as a late pick.

Raymond Felton scored 10 points with eight assists, four rebounds and two steals on Thursday night against the Timberwolves.

Felton got the start for the injured Chris Paul (hand) tonight and played 34 minutes. Although he scored just 10 points, he did contribute in dimes and steals. He should be owned in all formats during Paul’s absence, but will hurt you in field goal percentage some nights.

Kawhi Leonard was on fire yet again during a 118-104 win over the Nuggets on Thursday, scoring 34 points with five rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

He earned an All-Star starting spot today, which was fairly obvious. Leonard has scored at least 30 points for five consecutive games, which has only been done by two other Spurs ever (George Gervin and Mike Mitchell). Coach Gregg Popovich had a very typical answer about Kawhi's play after the game. "Kawhi Leonard was super, but he's getting paid to be super," Pop said. Leonard is going to be super for a long time.

David Lee grabbed a season-high 16 boards in a start for Pau Gasol (hand) on Thursday against the Nuggets, adding 10 points, two assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes.

When he's in shape and is playing motivated, he has a similar skill set to Gasol right now. Coach Gregg Popovich said Lee was "fantastic" in this game, which isn't too surprising based on his previous starts. In those previous three, Lee averaged 8.7 points, 9.3 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks in 27.0 minutes. He should have some low-end value while Gasol is out for the next month or so, so he's worth a look in standard leagues for anyone needing a big man for points, boards and percentages.

Ricky Rubio didn't play in the second half of Thursday's game against the Clippers with tightness in his hip and Kris Dunn started the third quarter in his place.

Rubio finished with zero points on 0-for-3 shooting with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 17 minutes. The injury doesn't sound terribly serious, but owners will obviously want to watch for news on Rubio going forward. This is a potentially tough break, as he was playing very well over the last couple weeks, and Dunn and Tyus Jones would benefit if he's going to miss time.

Dejounte Murray had easily his best NBA game of his career in a start for Tony Parker (foot) on Thursday, scoring a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 from the field with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Wow. Murray had no jumper in his time at Washington, making just 34.0 percent of his twos and 28.8 percent of his threes. He also had some horrendous turnover woes, so the one turnover in all that playing time is almost as impressive as the scoring. Clearly, things are working out nicely for the rookie and the Spurs clearly trust him as their No. 3 point guard. This game is a huge fluke, but keep him in mind if Tony Parker (foot) misses games again. Parker is likely to play on Saturday against the Cavs.
Jan 19 - 11:47 PM

Nikola Jokic erupted for a career-high 35 points during a 118-104 loss to the Spurs on Thursday, adding 12 rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers.

He went bonkers in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 straight points for the Nuggets to keep them in this game. As you might expect, coach Mike Malone had some nice things to say after the game. "Whether it's playmaking, scoring, rebounding, he's a terrific young talent who's only getting better before our eyes," Malone said. Jokic became the first Nugget with three straight games of at least 25 points and 10 boards since Carmelo Anthony. In those three games, Jokic averaged 31.3 points, 12.7 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 treys on 61.9 percent from the field. He's been a top-five player in his last 10 games.
Jan 19 - 11:41 PM

John Wall scored 29 points in a 113-110 win at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, adding five rebounds, 13 assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Revenge game for not making the All-Star starters? Whatever the case, Wall's Wizards are the hottest team in the East with their four-game winning streak -- nobody else has more than two straight wins. Not surprisingly, Wall has crushed in those four games, averaging 25.8 points, 4.5 boards, 10.0 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.8 treys. He'll obviously be an All-Star reverse and has first-round value in standard leagues.
Jan 19 - 11:17 PM

Tony Parker's left ankle locked up prior to Thursday's win over the Nuggets but he will travel with the team for Saturday's game at Cleveland.

Rookie Dejounte Murray started in Parker's place tonight and went off for a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting and added two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. It sounds like there's a good chance Parker will be back on Saturday, which will obviously hurt Murray's chances for another big game.
Jan 19 - 11:12 PM

Otto Porter matched his career-high six 3-pointers against the Knicks on Thursday, scoring 23 points with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 30 minutes.

It didn't take long for him to match his career high from Wednesday, and he's the first Wizards player ever to make six treys in back-to-back games. Porter's incredible shooting lately has moved him up to the No. 2 player in 3-point percentage this season, trailing Joe Ingles by just 0.2 percent. Porter has arguably been the most efficient player lately, posting an otherworldly 70.0 true shooting percentage over his last 14. He now has top-15 value in standard leagues.
Jan 19 - 11:12 PM

Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points against the Wizards on Thursday, adding 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

He scored 25 points in the second quarter to set a Knicks franchise record for most points in a quarter. Anthony played more power forward in this game and he's looked a lot more comfortable in that role. Plus, the Knicks are more likely to stagger him from Kristaps Porzingis going forward. While Melo is playing better, his troublesome knee and shoulder will be black marks on his fantasy value. Keep him rolling, of course.
Jan 19 - 10:48 PM

LeBron James scored 21 points during a 118-103 win over the Suns on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, 15 assists, one steal, two blocks and four turnovers.

In the least surprising news of the day, LeBron was named to his 13th All-Star Team with his NBA-record 291 points in the event during his career. He is just one of five players to have that many All-Star nods and will likely pass Kobe Bryant's 18 in six years.
