Victor Oladipo had a quiet pro debut on Tuesday at Indiana with 12 points, three boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

He didn't play point guard much and even slid over to small forward to guard Paul George. Oladipo's attacking style was on display with eight of his 11 shot attempts coming from inside the paint. That attribute helped him shoot 59.9 percent in college last year, so it's nice to see he's still able to get to the cup at the next level. It was a little disappointing for the rookie tonight, but the Pacers' defense is among the best in the league.

P.J. Tucker was arrested for a "super extreme" DUI in May according to the Arizona Republic.

The details of the alleged incident aren't pretty and a suspension is probably coming down the pipe once the court case has worked itself out.

The Spurs sent Manu Ginobili a letter informing him that he will not be granted permission to play in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

The Spurs cited his recent stress fracture, and the necessary recovery time as their reasons for denying him permission to play. It's not exactly shocking that the Spurs organization is not too keen on letting their 37-year-old star risk further injury from unnecessary international play, as they're set to again chase a title for the 2014-15 season. Argentina will now be without Manu, and Carlos Delfino, and with this news Argentina’s gold medal aspirations are looking pretty grim.

Donald Sterling lost his court case on Monday, as the judge ruled in favor of Shelly Sterling, rejecting all of Donald's arguments.

Steve Ballmer is now set to be the Clippers next owner, and the sale is expected to be finalized by August 15. The judge's ruling on Monday is only a tentative oral decision, and not legally binding, but it would be shocking to see a sudden reversal of the decision. The ruling is essentially appeal-proof, and hopefully this is the last we will hear of Donald Sterling. This is a huge victory for the NBA and it looks like the league is in good hands with commissioner Adam Silver at the helm.

Mo Williams has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $3.75 million deal with the Timberwolves.

Williams won't have much value in the Timberwolves crowded backcourt, but things could change depending on how the pieces are moved in a Kevin Love deal. It's an interesting move for Williams as he had previously stated he was looking for a long-term deal, but perhaps the market did not present such an opportunity for Mo.

The Timberwolves reportedly view Thaddeus Young as a potential Kevin Love replacement.

The Wolves are reportedly looking into acquiring Young from the 76ers either through a separate transaction, or as part of an expanded Love trade. However, Young still has two years remaining on his current contract, and it's unclear as to whether Philadelphia is willing to part ways with Young in any deal.

Steve Nash confirmed in a recent interview that he will retire after the 2014-15 season.

"I think this is my last season," said the 40-year-old Nash. "But I still love to play, practice and work on my game. I’m going to spend hopefully many many years living this life without basketball. It’ll be nice to play one more year." Nash, in his prime, was one of the most exciting point guards to watch. He won back-to-back MVP awards from 2004-2006, taking his Phoenix Suns team through multiple deep playoff runs, but never ending on the ultimate goal of an NBA championship. However, he just doesn't have it anymore at 40 years of age, and he only managed to make it through 15 games last season. While no longer a fantasy option, he figures to be a first ballot Hall of Famer, and the league will miss his constant professionalism.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski said Derrick Rose will not have any restrictions with Team USA.

Considering he's had eight months to rehab his torn meniscus, Rose should be ready to go in Spain. As a reference point, most meniscus tears require around eight weeks of rehab time. He'll be competing for a roster spot and Coach K said he's excited to be see Rose play. We'll be tracking his progress throughout the event.

Jimmy Butler will not participate in Team USA's training camp this week due to a slightly strained groin.

The injury doesn't sound serious but Butler is taking a conservative approach, which should please the Bulls even as it weakens Team USA. Earning a spot on the team would have given Butler an opportunity to learn from the league's best while gaining international exposure, so it's an unfortunate turn of events for the Bulls' 24-year-old shooting guard.

Byron Scott has agreed to terms with the Lakers and will be their head coach.

It will be a four-year, $17 million deal for the former Nets, Hornets and Cavs head coach. The Lakers interviewed him way back in May and he's been the frontrunner for the job for a long time. Scott has plenty of street cred as a former member of the Lakers in their championship Showtime years, so the fans should cut him some slack. He'll have his hands full with little depth on his team, especially in the frontcourt.

Kevin Love will not play for Team USA this summer because he doesn't want to risk injury, according to the Associated Press.

Team USA announced that Love is not going to play, but obviously did not list a reason for his absence. This is perhaps the strongest piece of evidence that Love very badly wants out of Minnesota. His decision to sit out clearly shows he's trying to do all he can to make sure the Wolves are able to deal him, or he may not want to answer hundreds of questions every day. FOX Sports reported that he wants to go to Cleveland, and the Cavs remain the frontrunners.

Carlos Boozer said on Friday that he's comfortable playing power forward or center.

Based on last season, he doesn't bode well as a center at all. On defense he allowed his man to shoot a combined 52.0 percent on post-ups and as the pick-and-roll roll man. On the other hand, Boozer shot just 38.3 percent in those situations on offense last year (stats per Synergy). He also had a career-low in rebounds per game while posting his second-lowest offensive rebounding rate in his career. The Lakers are going to have to come up with something at center because Jordan Hill isn't capable of playing more than 24 minutes over the course of a season. The 32-year-old Boozer is more of a late-round pick in standard leagues.
