Omri Casspi (ankle) returned to action in Monday's loss to the Clippers, scoring 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting (3-of-6 3PTs, 4-of-5 FTs) with nine rebounds, four assists and two steals in 28 minutes off the bench.

Dwight Howard got in early foul trouble and that left a few leftover minutes, and it's also worth noting that Patrick Beverley isn't around to take time from the community chest of bench minutes. All of that said, Casspi is really embracing his new role and the Rockets seem to be embracing him, so give him a hard look in standard leagues and hope the speculation pays off.

Bradley Beal bounced back from an off game and hit 9-of-20 shots and four 3-pointers on his way to 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block as the Wizards beat the Bulls again in Chicago on Tuesday, taking an improbable 2-0 lead as the series shifts to Washington for Game 3.

If you had the Wizards up 2-0 at this point, congratulations are in order. This one went to overtime as the Wizards pulled off a nice, late comeback, and then saw Kirk Hinrich miss a pair of free throws at the end of overtime to give the Wizards the win. Beal was just 3-of-11 for 13 points in Game 1 and the Bulls have already been backed into a corner against the upstart Wizards.

DeMar DeRozan hit 9-of-21 shots and 12-of-14 free throws for 30 points, three rebounds, two assists, six turnovers and five personal fouls in Tuesday's 100-95 win over the Nets in Game 2 to tie their series 1-1.

DeRozan was seen pouting at the end of the bench, ignoring his team's huddle after he picked up his fifth foul, but came back strong to hit some big buckets and help the Raptors get the win. This game was back and forth all night, and the Raptors got a game they needed to have as the series heads to Brooklyn for the next two games. DeRozan had 17 in the fourth quarter tonight.

Paul George hit 9-of-16 shots and five 3-pointers for 27 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, four steals, a block and just one turnover in Tuesday's easy 101-85 Game 2 win over the Hawks to tie their series at 1-1.

George was great tonight and the Pacers dominated the third quarter after being down four at halftime. They went on a 17-0 run and won the game easily, despite not getting much from Roy Hibbert (1-of-7 shooting) and Lance Stephenson (seven points). The series heads to Atlanta for Game 3 on Thursday.

Mario Chalmers (bruised knee) was limited during Tuesday's practice and he's questionable to play in Game 2 vs. the Bobcats on Wednesday.

He injured himself in the first quarter of Sunday's Game 1 matchup but continued to play through the injury, and coach Erik Spoelstra said that Chalmers "did make progress from [Monday]." If he's forced to sit out the Heat could start Norris Cole at PG, but Spoelstra has shown a preference to keep his second unit intact this season, so Toney Douglas could also get the start. We should have a more definitive update following Wednesday's shootaround.
Apr 22 - 3:29 PM

Jeremy Lin (illness) did not practice with the Rockets on Tuesday.

Lin played 34 minutes in the Rockets' Game 1 loss to the Blazers on Sunday, scoring 14 points and grabbing six rebounds. The Rockets need Lin's scoring off the bench, and his ability to be the third ball-handler behind James Harden and Patrick Beverley. If the Rockets want to even the series, they will need a productive Lin in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Julius Randle officially declared for the 2014 NBA Draft on Tuesday.

Randle had already alluded to this decision, but his decision became formal on Tuesday as he became the last of the big-name college players to enter the draft. Randle helped his Kentucky Wildcats reach the finals and put up solid numbers during the regular season with averages of 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks. He is expected to be a lottery pick in June's draft and could go as high as the Top 5.
Apr 22 - 1:52 PM

Bobcats coach Steve Clifford is unsure if Al Jefferson (foot) will be able to participate in Wednesday's shootaround.

Clifford seemed "less than certain" that Jefferson will play in Game 2 and it sounds like he may be a game-time decision for Wednesday's rematch vs. the Heat. The Bobcats desperately need Jefferson if they have any hope of stealing this series, but a strained plantar fascia is a painful injury and Big Al has been getting around in a walking boot since hurting himself on Sunday. If Jefferson is unable to play, Bismack Biyombo would be in line for a minutes bump.

Gregg Popovich has been named the 2013-14 NBA Coach of the Year.

The win comes as no surprise as Popovich was able to navigate the veteran Spurs to the NBA's best record this season. This is the second Red Auerbach Trophy in three years for Pop and his third overall since taking over as the Spurs' head coach in 1996. Popovich is a big reason that the Spurs' assistant coaches keep popping up as head coaching candidates and it's nice to see him get the recognition he deserves from the media.

Kobe Bryant (knee) is frustrated with the Lakers according to sources close to Bryant.

Bryant missed an appearance to thank fans due to a migraine and was in Paris while the rest of his team was conducting exit interviews, so Bryant's frustration is becoming more apparent. There is no word on exactly who Kobe's people are, but said people acknowledged the 35-year-old is "frustrated" with the Lakers and the prospect of rebuilding for two more seasons. The bad news for Bryant is that he's committed to the Lakers for two more seasons, but there is a silver lining as the Lakers will have a lottery pick and plenty of cap space to work with this offseason.

Blake Griffin was unstoppable against the Warriors on Monday during Game 2's 138-98 win over the Warriors, making 13-of-17 from the field for 35 points, six boards, one assist and two steals.

He shot 9-of-10 from the line in his highest scoring output of his career. It's also worth mentioning Griffin didn't commit a single foul, which was an issue in Game 1 due to fouling out in 19 minutes. The Clippers were outstanding as a team at the line, making 32-of-35 while also burying 12-of-25 from deep. They'll be carrying some momentum to Golden State in this 1-1 series.
Apr 22 - 1:26 AM

The Thunder lost Game 2 on Monday despite Kevin Durant's game-high 36 points, which included an unbelievable four-point play toward the end of regulation.

The fact that OKC even forced overtime was impressive -- soon after Durant's improbable basket while falling out of bounds, Kendrick Perkins bailed his team out with a putback layup to tie things up as the buzzer expired. A few miscues and tough breaks foiled their comeback attempt in overtime, spoiling big games from Durant and Russell Westbrook (29 points, seven rebounds, eight assists).
