Derrick Rose (hamstring) did not need an MRI from his minor hamstring strain.

He feels better today and the team will see how he feels tomorrow to provide another update. Rose expects to play on Friday and they lucked out a bit with four days off to allow him to heal.

Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) has been ruled out for the Mavs' upcoming two-game road trip.

In case you missed it, he also won't play Tuesday vs. the Spurs, so Yogi Ferrell figures to earn another start tonight with J.J. Barea and Devin Harris seeing some increased opportunity with the second unit. After the road trip, the Mavs come back home for a game against the Suns on Monday, and for now, we'll be considering DSJ questionable for that one.
Dec 12 - 7:03 PM

Ian Mahinmi (sore right knee) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Nets.

Mahinmi didn't feel quite right after going through his pregame routine, so he'll sit out the first game of this back-to-back set and we'll consider him questionable for Wednesday. Jason Smith and Mike Scott will split the reserve five-man minutes in his absence, but neither of those guys are worth targeting in most leagues.
Dec 12 - 6:53 PM

Reggie Bullock will replace Stanley Johnson in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.

Through three games as a starter this season, Bullock owns meager averages of 4.3 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 triple on 33.3 percent shooting, so whether he's starting or coming off the bench, he remains irrelevant in fantasy hoops. Johnson has actually played better as a reserve this season, so him moving to the second unit might not be such a bad thing.
Dec 12 - 6:48 PM

Kyrie Irving (quad) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.

Irving missed Monday's game, the second half of a back-to-back set, with a minor quad issue but it looks like he'll be back on the floor on Wednesday. Al Horford will be rested on Wednesday, so Irving figures to be very busy on the offensive end. Check back for another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround.
Dec 12 - 6:15 PM

John Wall (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nets.

"We'll give him another day of rest and see how he feels tomorrow," said head coach Scott Brooks. David Aldridge reported today that "all signs point" towards Wall getting back to the court for Wednesday's home game against the Grizzlies, but with that being the second game of a back-to-back set, there won't be a shootaround so we likely won't get official word until just prior to tip-off. Tim Frazier and Tomas Satoransky will split the point guard minutes sans Wall on Tuesday.
Dec 12 - 6:12 PM

Al Horford (rest) will not play Wednesday vs. Denver.

Horford has played in 27 of the Celtics 29 games this season and has posted terrific all-around numbers. He is currently averaging 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.4 treys and 1.0 blocks. He'll get a well-deserved night off on Wednesday. Marcus Morris (knee) has also been ruled out. Daniel Theis and Aron Baynes will log extended minutes vs. the Nuggets.
Dec 12 - 6:12 PM

Tyler Cavanaugh will start at center for Tuesday's game against the Cavs, sending Miles Plumlee to the bench.

Cavanaugh has played well when given the minutes this season, so he could be someone to consider as a 3-point streamer or punt play in DFS with a favorable matchup against the Cavs. Plumlee wasn't really doing anything as a starter, and can safely remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Dec 12 - 6:08 PM

Kenny Atkinson would not say whether or not Jahlil Okafor would play Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Atkinson was dancing around the subject during his pregame presser, simply responding "never say never" when asked if Okafor would make his Brooklyn debut on Tuesday night. He also implied that Okafor will need to earn his minutes with the Nets, so if he does take the court tonight, it'll likely be for a limited capacity. Okafor is in a good spot to produce in Brooklyn, but it could take him a bit to get going and there's too much uncertainty here to count on him in DFS tonight.
Dec 12 - 6:04 PM

Kevin Love (hip) will play Tuesday vs. the Hawks.

Love will be returning from a one-game absence, which will result in Ante Zizic heading back to the second unit, and with Tristan Thompson (calf) also getting back to the court tonight, Zizic could drop from the rotation entirely. The Hawks have been giving up big lines to opposing big men all year long, so make sure you've got Love active.
Dec 12 - 5:31 PM

Tristan Thompson (calf) will play Tuesday vs. the Hawks.

Thompson has been out since November, so he'll likely be eased into things, although it's not like he'll have a substantial role even once he's fully up to speed. On the year, Thompson is averaging just 4.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 21.6 minutes a night, so he's not a viable target in most scenarios.
Dec 12 - 5:30 PM

Avery Bradley (illness) is a go for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.

Bradley skipped shootaround due to the illness, but he was never expected to miss this game. His shooting percentages have been all over the place this season, but maybe he'll be able to turn in a more efficient game with a favorable matchup against the Nuggets.
