Andrea Bargnani had 20 points, 11 rebounds, a block and two 3-pointers on 8-of-15 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Hawks.

The Hawks aren't traditionally strong against opposing centers, but then again, Bargnani's not exactly a typical starting center. The 11 rebounds are pretty shocking, as the last time he had at least 10 in a game (and double-doubled) was Jan. 11, 2012. Don't expect this kind of line out of Bargnani again this season, but his scoring and production should be solid for the depleted Knicks as long as Tyson Chandler is sidelined.

Evan Fournier will be a game-time call on Wednesday due to a quad injury.

He finally cooled off on Monday and suffered the injury in that game. If he can't go, it should mean more goodies for Victor Oladipo, who played 36 minutes on Monday and had his best game of the season.
Nov 26 - 10:59 AM

J.R. Smith is expected to start at forward in place of Carmelo Anthony (back) on Wednesday, according to coach Derek Fisher.

We'll have to wait and see who makes up the starting unit tonight, but Smith gets a boost in value with Carmelo very unlikely to play again before Sunday, at the earliest.
Nov 26 - 10:43 AM

Tobias Harris sat out the early portion of Wednesday morning's shootaround due to his calf injury.

He's listed as a game-time decision but the fact he wasn't an early participant this morning is obviously a bad sign.
Nov 26 - 10:40 AM

The Lakers are on the verge of signing F Earl Clark to a one-year contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

He'll help make up for the loss of Julius Randle, as well as the current injury to Carlos Boozer, but might also hurt the strong play of Ed Davis. Then again, Clark has never really lived up to the hype, but is averaging close to 30 points in the D-League this season.
Nov 26 - 10:15 AM

Dwight Howard (knee) and Patrick Beverley (hamstring) are not expected to play on Wednesday against the Kings.

Beverley is expected to miss a few games, per coach Kevin McHale, while a preview column by Jonathan Feigen suggests there are "signs" that Howard won't play, either, based on more comments from McHale. To be clear, Howard hasn't been ruled out, but if you're planning ahead for tonight, it sounds like it would be a surprise if he were in the starting lineup. DeMarcus Cousins could have a big night if Howard's out.
Nov 26 - 9:49 AM

David West is hoping to make his season debut for the Pacers on Friday after dealing with a severely sprained since Oct. 18.

"(Coach Frank Vogel) will make the call," West said after practicing Tuesday. "The ankle is healthy which is important." It sounds like it's now or never for West, who has already missed 15 games. "We've exhausted all options in terms of getting it healthy. It was a bad sprain," West said. "I got really lucky that it just did what it did and didn't go any further. I got really lucky." Luis Scola will take a hit when West is ready to go at full speed.
Nov 26 - 9:30 AM

Carmelo Anthony had trouble even speaking, let alone walking or running, while dealing with his back injury on Monday night and he's not expected to play on Wednesday at Dallas, Friday at Oklahoma City and has no timetable for a return to action as of now.

The Knicks are concerned about his back spasms becoming a season-long problem, and are hoping his pain is not a sign of a disk problem. Anthony was already dealing with a knee injury and it now sounds like he could miss several more games with his back injury. Shane Larkin started the second half of Monday's game in Anthony's place, while Amare Stoudemire could get the call in his place tonight. Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Travis Wear should all see more opportunity with Melo in street clothes. The Knicks get the Heat in New York on Sunday and if Melo can play in that one, owners will have cause to celebrate.
Nov 26 - 9:20 AM

Derrick Rose (hamstring tightness) sat out the second half of Tuesday's game as a precaution, and he "didn't feel anything pop or pull" prior to his exit.

Tom Thibodeau asked Rose to sit out the second half and Rose agreed. The Bulls' former MVP was very tentative during the first half, as he was during Monday's game, but Thibodeau is hopeful that a few days of rest will have Rose ready to go for Friday's game in Boston. When asked if Rose would require an MRI, Thibs replied, "I don’t believe so. I think he's fine." Fantasy owners have played this game long enough to distrust the Bulls' injury updates, however, and we're unlikely to learn Rose's status until close to tip-off on Friday.
Nov 26 - 12:16 AM

Jimmy Butler set a new career high with 20 free throw attempts on Tuesday, making 18 of them to finish with 32 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal in a loss to the Nuggets.

Butler has been unbelievable to begin the season, embracing an expanded offensive role without letting up defensively in nearly 40 minutes per game. He's taken a massive leap into top-10 fantasy value and shows no signs of letting up, though his huge workload may take a toll physically as the season progresses. Congratulations to all those owners who snagged Butler in the middle rounds on draft day.
Nov 26 - 12:09 AM

DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings to a road win on Tuesday with 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and five turnovers in 35 minutes.

DMC made 8-of-18 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs in another impressive performance, helping Sacramento improve their record to 9-5. He's solidified himself as a top-10 fantasy option and has only picked up one technical foul through 14 games, so owners shouldn't have to fret about suspensions as we near the end of the regular season.
Nov 25 - 11:47 PM

Darius Miller made his first start of the season at SF on Tuesday, but he finished scoreless with zero stats to his credit in 14 minutes of action.

Tyreke Evans slid over to SG with Eric Gordon (shoulder) out indefinitely, and the early results with Miller at SF speak for themselves. Head coach Monty Williams will likely toy around with his lineups in the coming games, and Miller's fantasy offerings are too limited to reach for him outside of deeper leagues.
