Deron Williams hit 5-of-13 shots and two 3-pointers for 13 points, seven assists, a steal and a block in Wednesday's ugly loss at Sacramento, but more importantly, sprained his left ankle after stepping on teammate Andray Blatche's foot.

Williams was back pedaling during a break in the action and stepped on Blatche's foot. He stayed in the game and it may be nothing, but he clearly turned it and was limping around after it happened. It was a freak accident, and thankfully wasn't his right ankle, which he's had problems with for most of the season. Watch for updates.

Joakim Noah has been diagnosed with a left knee effusion, more commonly referred to as water on the knee, and he will not play on Tuesday.

Noah also has an eye injury, but his surgically-repaired left knee is a more serious concern for fantasy owners. Pau Gasol will shift to center in his absence and Nikola Mirotic is a terrific speculative pick-up, having averaged 13.3 points, 2.0 threes and 7.0 rebounds over Chicago's past four games. The Bulls play in Boston on Friday, so Noah's owners will have to stay alert for updates over the next few days. At the moment we're considering him day-to-day.
Nov 25 - 7:50 PM

Derrick Rose (hamstring) will play on Tuesday, as expected.

He was technically listed as 'probable' and the Bulls have been understandably protective of Rose early in the season, so fantasy owners are wise to check his status before every game. He scored 18 points in a somewhat passive performance on Monday and we can only hope he'll continue to build on that performance without any health-related setbacks.
Nov 25 - 7:42 PM

Kirk Hinrich (chest) will play vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday.

He's probably not 100 percent healthy, but the Bulls' tough veteran will suit up as Derrick Rose's primary backup. As long as Rose is healthy there's no reason to touch Hinrich in 12-team fantasy leagues.
Nov 25 - 7:37 PM

The Kings are hopeful that Rudy Gay (Achilles) will be able to return for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

That means that Gay is not expected to be available for Wednesday's game vs. the Rockets, and we'll be monitoring his status closely. Omri Casspi has slid into the starting lineup with Gay sidelined, and he can be a nice short-term option for owners seeking some 3-point shooting. Stay tuned for an official update on Gay's status as we draw closer to Wednesday's tip.
Nov 25 - 7:29 PM

The Lakers have been awarded a $4.85 million disabled player exception for Steve Nash, who is out for the season with nerve damage.

The Lakers are over the salary cap and this exception will allow them to sign a free agent for the remainder of the season, or possibly trade for a player in the final year of their contract. We should hear reports about possible targets for L.A. in the coming days, so owners in deep leagues should keep an eye out for updates.
Nov 25 - 7:18 PM

Andrew Bogut (eye) will start vs. the Heat on Tuesday.

He was downgraded to questionable but was a full participant during shootaround, and the bruise to his orbital bone shouldn't have any lasting effects. Fantasy owners can comfortably deploy him in a favorable matchup vs. Miami's frontcourt.
Nov 25 - 7:03 PM

Omer Asik (back) will return to action on Tuesday after missing the past four games.

Asik was a partial participant in Monday's practice and is finally ready to play after missing the past week, which will send Alexis Ajinca back to the bench and steal a few minutes from Ryan Anderson. Asik has been a terrific source of rebounds this year, as well as FG percentage and blocks, so owners relying on his big-man stats should activate him in all lineups.
Nov 25 - 7:02 PM

Darren Collison (quad) will not play Tuesday vs. the Pelicans, and Ramon Sessions will start.

Sessions will be asked to step it up on the offensive end tonight with Rudy Gay (Achilles) also sidelined, and he makes for a solid option in daily leagues. Ray McCallum will see some extended minutes off the bench, but Sessions is the guy to own here.
Nov 25 - 6:57 PM

Brandon Knight (quad) will start Tuesday vs. the Pistons.

Knight was listed as questionable heading into this one, but it appears he'll give it a go. He's averaging 18.1 points, 6.4 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 three-pointers per game this season, and has been a must-start guy this season. Get him active.
Nov 25 - 6:42 PM

O.J. Mayo will enter the starting lineup Tuesday vs. the Pistons, sending Khris Middleton back to the bench.

Coach Jason Kidd's rotations have been all over the place this season, so while Mayo enters the starting lineup tonight, he could just as easily head back the bench in the next one. Mayo has been hit-or-miss this season, averaging 10.9 points, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 three-pointers per game while shooting 40.3 percent from the field. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach to see how Mayo fares with the starting unit.
Nov 25 - 6:31 PM

Kris Humphries will enter the starting lineup in place of Nene (foot) for Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks.

When given the minutes Humphries is a double-double threat, so he should serve as a fine plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Currently there is no timetable set for Nene's (foot) return, so if there's currently a guy on your roster you've been looking to cut, Humphries makes sense as a speculative add.
