Brandon Knight (hamstring) will not play on Saturday, his third consecutive DNP.

He's played in only three games all season, which has allowed Nate Wolters to establish himself as a legitimate NBA point guard. Wolters is averaging 5.3 assists vs. 1.0 turnovers in 33 minutes per game as a rookie, compared to Knight's career-average 3.9 assists vs. 2.7 turnovers.

The Bulls met with unrestricted free agent Rajon Rondo on Friday.

With Mike Conley and Jeremy Lin off the board, Rondo should have more desperate suitors. Plus, the Nets were expected to go after Rondo, but they have agreed to terms with Lin. The former NBA champ and 2011-12 league leader in triple-doubles obviously won't be going back to the PG-needy Mavs, so he could be filling in for Derrick Rose.

Unrestricted free agent Dwyane Wade is in contract talks with the Knicks and Bucks, and could schedule meetings next week, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

The days of Wade taking a pay cut could be over here. The Knicks really need a shooting guard while the Marquette product has some Milwaukee ties. Wade going to the Knicks would make it extremely hard for the Knicks to share the ball. The Bucks need a 3-point shooter, so Wade wouldn't be the best fit. It sounds like it might take a few days before we get word on the former Finals MVP.

The Grizzlies and Mike Conley have agreed in principle to a five-year, $153 million deal.

ESPN's Marc Stein adds the two parties are still working on details, but it's the richest contract in the history of the NBA. Conley is going to be 29 years old to start his deal, so the fourth and fifth years will be way past his prime. He has seen his games played dropped in each of the last three seasons with a drop in scoring output for each of his last two. For fantasy, the drop in overall productivity knocks him out of the early rounds in standard leagues.
Jul 1 - 6:57 PM

Dwight Howard has reached an agreement on a three-year, $70.5 million deal with the Hawks.

Dwight wanted $24 million per season, and he just about got it with his hometown team. This news also means Al Horford is heading out of town to likely the Thunder or Celtics. As for Dwight, he'll look to revitalize his career after things fell apart dating back to when he left the Magic after 2011-12. The good news for the Hawks is that this is only a three-year deal.
Jul 1 - 6:38 PM

Jeff Green has reached a one-year, $15 million deal with the Magic.

The Magic put a priority on cap space to sign new guys, but so far they have Green, Jodie Meeks and D.J. Augustin. The good news on this deal is that it's only for one year and Meeks is also just for one year, so they'll have money next year. Green is going to compete with Aaron Gordon for playing time.
Jul 1 - 6:34 PM

The Nuggets have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent Darrell Arthur on a three-year deal.

Coach Mike Malone fell in love with Arthur at times last year, so this isn't a surprise. It's a small positive that this deal is only three years given the vast injury history. Arthur is 28 years old and just played a career-high 21.7 minutes per game. He'll be a backup on a deep Nuggets team.
Jul 1 - 6:30 PM

Evan Turner was told he will start next to Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum next year.

That means the chances of the Blazers retaining Moe Harkless have dropped -- they could still keep Allen Crabbe. The Blazers also have Al-Farouq Aminu, who really stepped up on a bargain of a contract. Turner can't space the floor quite like Allen Crabbe can, so it's an interesting fit to see where he fits in coach Terry Stotts' offense. His usage rate should be fairly small in the first unit with his primary responsibility coming on the defensive end.
Jul 1 - 4:35 PM

The Pelicans have a verbal agreement on a four-year, $52 million deal with unrestricted free agent Solomon Hill.

He saw a big uptick in minutes during the postseason and he still has some room to grow at age 25. Hill is wildly inconsistent, he was out of the rotation earlier in the year, and he's just a career 40.9 percent shooter from the field. The Pelicans likely knew they couldn't get an expensive small forward, so they'll give Hill a chance. He could find himself getting minutes next season.
Jul 1 - 4:15 PM

The Bucks are nearing a four-year, $38 million agreement with restricted free agent Matthew Dellavedova.

The Cavs backups are getting paid these days. The Cavs could still match here, but that is a heck of a lot of money for a player who lost his minutes in the postseason. Dellavedova would actually be a candidate to start because the Bucks have said they want someone out there to guard point guards.
Jul 1 - 3:52 PM

Evan Fournier received a five-year, $85 million contract extension to stay with the Magic.

The Magic went over the top to clear out cap space, so there was almost no chance they were going to miss out on Fournier. Former coach Scott Skiles trusted Fournier in a big way, helping the Frenchman average a career-high 15.4 points per game. Now that Victor Oladipo is gone, the 23-year-old wing should get plenty of shots headed his way. He'll get minutes in the mid 30s with coach Frank Vogel as a mid-round fantasy target in standard leagues.
Jul 1 - 3:25 PM

Evan Turner has agreed to a four-year, $70 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Blazers were in hot pursuit of Chandler Parsons, but quickly turned their attention towards Turner once Parsons agreed to a deal with the Grizzlies. Turner will compete with Al-Farouq Aminu for the starting small forward job, but it's hard to imagine him not having a significant role due to the size of the contract. Additionally, this deal may make it tough for the Blazers to re-sign both Allen Crabbe and Moe Harkless.
