Deron Williams (ankle), Brook Lopez (ankle), Jason Terry (knee) and Andrei Kirilenko (back) will not play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

Deron did not travel with the team to Toronto on Tuesday and he's still not ready to go after spraining his ankle for the second time in the past two weeks. This will be his fourth consecutive game out of the lineup and he still has no timetable to return. The Nets will travel to Houston on Friday and Williams is closer to doubtful for that game. Shaun Livingston will start tonight.

Doug McDermott (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday night vs. the Cavs and Saturday night in Dallas.

The Bulls are hopeful McDermott will be cleared for contact on Friday. However, coach Fred Hoiberg wants to see him get a couple workouts in before being cleared for a game. Isaiah Canaan and Nikola Mirotic have been the biggest beneficiaries of McDermott's absence and should continue to see increased workloads this weekend.

ESPN is reporting that Will Barton (ankle) will play Friday night vs. the Rockets.

Barton started off the year strong, averaging 18 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes over Denver's first three games of the season. However, he has missed 12 of the Nuggets last 15 games due to this nagging ankle injury. It is unknown if Barton will be on a minute restriction Friday. If you have room on your roster and he is still floating around your league's waiver wire, now is the time to nab him. Barton finished last season ranked among the top-85 overall fantasy players, according to BasketballReference.com. Barton's return will likely eat into the minutes of Wilson Chandler and Jamal Murray.

Joel Embiid will be on a 28-minute limit Friday night vs. Orlando, but likely will not play on Saturday vs. Boston.

In addition to the 28-minute limit vs. Magic, the Sixers announced that "the team anticipates to follow prior back-to-back protocol for Celtics on Saturday." Thus, we can safely assume they will rest Embiid on Saturday. Embiid has not played more than 27 minutes in any game this season, so 28 minutes would represent a career high. It will be interesting to see if Embiid can sustain his incredible per-minute production as his playing time increases. His current per-36 minute averages are mind-boggling: 28.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and 2.0 3-pointers.
Dec 2 - 11:36 AM

Jerryd Bayless (left wrist soreness) will not play Friday vs. Orlando and is questionable for Saturday vs. Boston.

Bayless had platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on his wrist earlier this week and is not yet ready for game action. Sergio Rodriguez will likely start in his place on Friday, with T.J. McConnell as the first point guard off the bench. Rodriguez has averaged 8.2 points, 7.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds in the 17 games he has started this season.
Dec 2 - 11:28 AM

Kevin Durant matched his season-high 39 points on 12-of-28 from the field during a 132-127 double-overtime loss at home to the Rockets on Thursday, adding 13 rebounds, two assists, three steals, three blocks and three 3-pointers.

The Warriors were not in a good rhythm on offense and Draymond Green said KD was stuck with some tough shots. Durant went 1-of-7 in OT and said he wasn't tired and just missed his shots, so at least that's a positive with Durant playing 49 minutes. KD has also lost his lead for true shooting percentage with Patty Mills leapfrogging him, but he's still the No. 1 player in standard leagues.
Dec 2 - 3:22 AM

Draymond Green scored a season-high 20 points against the Rockets on Thursday, adding 15 rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals in 47 minutes.

He was hit with a flagrant foul in overtime for kicking James Harden in the head, so the league may take a look at it given his history. Although, he may not get an additional punishment and it didn't look as bad as some previous cases. He did say he was confused by the flagrant and non-flagrant foul calls and said he'll go read the rule book, so he may get a fine for that, too. On the season, Green's numbers have held steady with only a dip in scoring and an increase to his defensive stats. He's holding first-round value in standard leagues.
Dec 2 - 3:09 AM

Marc Gasol scored 25 points in 32 minutes during a 95-94 comeback win over the Magic on Thursday, adding two rebounds, three assists, five blocks, one steal and two 3-pointers.

What a huge win for the Grizzlies. Coach David Fizdale continues to talk up The Nasty Nine, and his squad has just been money in tough situations. In fact, the Grizzlies are now 5-0 on the second night of a back-to-back set and they improved to 8-0 when the margin is within three points in the final minute. As for Gasol, the solid playing time after 35 minutes on Wednesday. He'll likely get rest at some point, but expect Gasol to post great stats sans Mike Conley (back).
Dec 2 - 1:26 AM

Troy Daniels matched a season-high 19 points in 29 minutes against the Magic on Thursday, adding two rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers.

On the heels of a 19-point Wednesday, this is the best two-game run of his career and the first time he's had consecutive games with at least 16 points. Daniels had his best game on defense, closed this one out, and clearly impressed his coach. "Whenever he’s out there, I’m going to use the heck out of him to get shots," coach Fizdale said. Fizdale also asked Daniels what color green light he should have when he gets to let it fly and Daniels said "money green." He may have some short-term value and is worth a look in deep leagues for owners needing treys.

Giannis Antetokounmpo went berserk during a 111-93 win over the Nets on Thursday, scoring 23 points with eight rebounds, eight assists, four steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers in just 30 minutes.

The steals numbers are off the charts and it's moved Giannis to No. 3 in steals per game while he's also fifth in blocks per outing. Antetokounmpo made a season-high two treys in this game and hit his first corner trey, which make have lead to some post-game talk on his shooting. After the game, Giannis said he's been invited to work out with Dirk Nowitzki next summer and Giannis also talked about his shot. "My main focus is to shoot without hesitating," Antetokounmpo said. "That's my main focus right now. I don't care if it goes in or it goes out. I just shoot. I have nothing to lose. Just let it fly." If he develops a strong shot, no team is safe.

Dec 2 - 12:09 AM

Kemba Walker scored 18 points during a 97-87 win over the Mavs on Thursday, adding three rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers.

The Hornets look like they're back for the most part with a 3-1 record in their last four. Walker hit a huge three in this game to help ice the win, but he didn't shoot the ball very well overall at 7-of-19 from the field. He's been very good in the clutch before tonight, turning in a 59.9 true shooting percentage on a 38.3 usage rate in those situations. He's playing like an All-Star, but he may have peaked a little early. Walker has third-round value over his last 10 games. He's still an elite option.
Dec 1 - 10:48 PM

Frank Kaminsky had a rough night during his start against the Mavs on Thursday, scoring one point with three rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.

Yuck. Kaminsky has gone in the tank since he was given an added opportunity. In the five games since the Marvin Williams (knee) injury, Kaminsky made just 25.9 percent from the field for 8.4 points, 5.2 boards, 2.6 assists and 0.6 treys. This was really the first time his minutes took a big hit, so he may bounce back. That said, we don't fault you at all for wanting to move on to someone else. His value will certainly drop once Marvin comes back.
