Patrick Beverley hit rock bottom in fantasy leagues on Friday, scoring five points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, one assist and no steals or blocks in the Rockets' obliteration of the Nets.

It may be tempting to try to tie this into the blowout angle but it's simply not accurate, as Beverley might as well go eat a sandwich on the sideline whenever the Rockets aren't on defense. By virtue of his 1.7 threes, 3.6 boards, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals he still has top-120 value on the year, but predicting that he's going to imminently bounce back is something we're not willing to do. If there is a usage change owners should know he could fly up the charts, and his defense is so good that Kevin McHale probably won't mess with his minutes.

Thabo Sefolosha (groin) may be able to return to the court for Friday's game against the Heat.

Sefolosha was spotted getting up some 3s after going through a full practice on Wednesday and given that he's been out since Jan. 27 with this groin injury, he has to be getting very close to a return. Sefolosha has value as a steals specialist as Atlanta's starting small forward, but a trade at the deadline would likely crush his value. Until he's actually playing games, he can remain on the wire in most leagues.

The Rockets are reportedly uninterested in trading away Patrick Beverley at the deadline.

Beverley has reportedly received interest from the Cavs, Knicks and Bulls, but with Beverley also happy in Houston it would be shocking to see a trade go down. Beverley has been a top-50 guy this season, although his value could take a slight hit, as his minutes are likely to be reduced with Lou Williams now on the roster.

The Pacers are reportedly gauging the trade market for Paul George.

The Pacers could go in one of two directions at the deadline, bring in talent to appease PG-13, or send him away and queue a rebuild centered around Myles Turner. George will likely opt-out of his contract following the 2017-18 season, making him an unrestricted free agent in 2018, so teams may be reluctant to make a deal for him without a promise that he'll re-sign at the new location. For what it's worth, George has said he'd be interested in re-signing with the Pacers as a free agent or going back to his hometown of Los Angeles (with the Lakers), so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Magic.

This is not a good sign at all after Aminu had all of the All-Star break to rest up, and for now, we'll be considering him doubtful for Sunday's game against the Raptors as well. With both Evan Turner (hand) and Aminu out of commission on Thursday night, Noah Vonleh or Meyers Leonard could draw the start at power forward, and Moe Harkless should be able to flirt with minutes in the 30s.
Feb 22 - 1:13 PM

Courtney Lee (illness) and Joakim Noah (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday.

Head coach Jeff Hornacek said that Lee has been too ill to be able to fly in to New York to rejoin the team, but he's still expecting him to be available for Thursday's matchup with the Cavs. Noah, tweaked his hamstring just before the break and has already been ruled out for Thursday's game, so this isn't at all surprising. In the off-chance that Lee can't give it a go on Thursday, Justin Holiday and Brandon Jennings would likely pickup most of his minutes. Stay tuned.

The Rockets have reportedly expressed interest in Iman Shumpert.

Cleveland has made it clear that Shumpert can be had for the right price, and with Houston reportedly shopping for a guy in the $10-12 million salary range, Shumpert fits the bill. However, Cleveland reportedly wants Patrick Beverley to make this deal work, and with Houston uninterested in sending away Beverley (who is a perfect fit next to James Harden), it doesn't seem likely that these two teams will be able to strike a deal.

Joel Embiid (knee) practiced in full on Wednesday, but he's not yet been cleared by the 76ers medical staff and is being listed as doubtful for the 76ers' next two games.

Embiid being able to scrimmage is obviously a positive, but the fact the Philly is listing him as doubtful after having the entire All-Star break to rest up is a bit concerning. Embiid is dealing with a minor tear to his meniscus, and while it's not something that's expected to require surgery, the 76ers will be taking an extremely cautious approach with their franchise cornerstone. For what it's worth, head coach Brett Brown said Embiid looked "fluid" and "moved well" on Wednesday.

The Celtics are reportedly unwilling to include Jae Crowder in the Jimmy Butler trade talks.

"That's I think the main sticking point there is that he just does not want to give up Jae Crowder in the deal," David Aldridge said. "And that's the guy that Chicago's insisting on right now in any package for Jimmy Butler." The Celtics appear reluctant to include anything of any real value in the Butler trade, which is what makes a deadline deal for Butler seem unlikely. Crowder is on the books through 2020 for a bargain discount of just $28.2 million, so it's understandable why Boston is reluctant to part ways with their defensive stalwart.

Andre Drummond is reportedly unlikely to be traded on deadline day.

Drummond's name has popped up in the rumor mill as the deadline approaches, but Stan Van Gundy maintains he hasn't had any meaningful conversations with any other opposing GMs on the trade front regarding a Drummond deal, so it seems unlikely that the Pistons will send him away during the first year of his five-year, max deal.

Phil Jackson is reportedly a fan of Ricky Rubio.

According to David Aldridge, Tom Thibodeau is "not really enamored" with Ricky Rubio right now, and he feels Derrick Rose would be an "upgrade" at the point guard position, which is a pretty fascinating take. A straight up Rose-Rubio swap would work under the cap guidelines, and with Thibs reportedly making a strong push for Rose, this is certainly a deal we could see go down on deadline day.

Teams around the league have reportedly been re-engaging with the 76ers on a Nerlens Noel trade.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that if the 76ers are unable to find a trade partner for Jahlil Okafor they will shift their focus to sending away Noel, but the biggest stumbling block here for a Noel deal is that he's about to be a restricted free agent. Teams reportedly want to know what it will cost to retain Noel as a free agent, and with Woj reporting that Noel is seeking a "big number," that may be enough to scare some teams away who don't have the cap room to re-sign him this offseason.
