Paul Pierce is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a non-displaced fracture in the third metacarpal of his right hand.

The hits keep coming for the struggling Nets, and Pierce's absence will thrust Alan Anderson into a starting role. Anderson has averaged 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 three-pointers in two starts at SF this year. More minutes will also be available for Joe Johnson, Toko Shengelia and Mirza Teletovic, though not enough to significantly alter their fantasy outlooks.

Isaiah Thomas scored 41 points against the Blazers during a 127-123 overtime loss on Saturday, adding three rebounds, six assists, six turnovers and four 3-pointers.

He passed James Harden yesterday for the No. 2 scorer in the NBA behind Russell Westbrook and he looks like he's on a mission to catch Russell Westbrook. Interestingly, the Celtics have never had a leading scorer in the NBA during their history with Larry Bird coming the closest and turning in a second-place finish. In his last 10, Thomas averaged 35.1 points per game. How is he not starting in the All-Star Game again?

Courtney Lee will start and Ron Baker will come off the bench against the Suns on Saturday.

After Lee's 'Dumb and Dumber' saga, he's back in the starting lineup. He should play with an extra edge and has a great matchup, so he could hit the ground running. We still wouldn't use Lee in most cases.
Jan 21 - 7:07 PM

Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will start and Mindaugas Kuzminskas will come off the bench against the Suns on Saturday.

The Knicks are playing their old lineup here and will shift Carmelo Anthony back to the three. We'll see how the Knicks stagger KP, which was a good plan earlier this season. Porzingis should be all set in a fantastic matchup today.
Jan 21 - 7:06 PM

Joakim Noah (ankle) will start and Kyle O'Quinn will come off the bench against the Suns on Saturday.

Noah is almost certainly going to be limited and his playing time is likely going to be low. Leave Noah on the wire in most leagues for now.
Jan 21 - 7:05 PM

Dion Waiters will stick in the starting lineup against the Bucks on Saturday.

This is somewhat interesting with Tyler Johnson (shoulder) out. With Goran Dragic as really the only ball-handler, we will probably see Waiters be used in a C.J. McCollum-esque role. In other words, he'll likely be staggered from Goran Dragic to make him the backup one to go with his starting two duties. He should be busy tonight and gains value while Johnson is out.
Jan 21 - 6:56 PM

Kevin Love (back) will play against the Spurs on Saturday night.

He did not play against the Suns on Thursday, but the Cavs still took care of business without him. We'll see if that was more of a precaution to hold him out, but Love going through shootaround and being announced as in so early are great signs. Expect him to be firing away with the Spurs keying on LeBron James.
Jan 21 - 6:49 PM

Sam Dekker will start on Saturday against the Grizzlies.

With Ryan Anderson (flu) out, it's usually been Corey Brewer starting. This time, coach Mike D'Antoni is going with a little more size, which makes sense against the Grizzlies. Dekker has impressed us this season and he can add a little bit of everything to the stat sheet, so he may have some attractive value until Ryno comes back.
Jan 21 - 6:35 PM

Jabari Parker has been benched for Saturday's game against the Heat due to a team rule violation.

Those are really all the details we have so far on this. Coach Jason Kidd is about as unpredictable as they come, so Parker could play anywhere from zero seconds to 47 minutes and 59 seconds. Thon Maker will get the start with Parker being punished. Obviously there's no long-term concern here, but DFS owners probably want to steer clear of this situation today. Although, you have to like Giannis Antetokounmpo even more.
Jan 21 - 6:27 PM

Matt Dellavedova will start and Malcolm Brogdon will come off the bench against the Heat on Saturday.

This is designed to get Dellavedova going and get out of a slump, according to coach Jason Kidd. It could be a one-time thing for Delly and he wasn't playing well even when he was a starter before the injury, so leave him on the wire for now.
Jan 21 - 6:22 PM

Thon Maker will start for Jabari Parker against the Heat on Saturday.

Coach Jason Kidd is at it again. The Bucks are on the road for the back-to-back set, so Jabari getting the night off clearly comes to mind here. There's an off chance the team just wants to get a look at Maker, but that's quite the sharp adjustment. We wouldn't suggest using Parker in DFS today.
Jan 21 - 6:14 PM

Spencer Dinwiddie, Sean Kilpatrick, Bojan Bogdanovic, Trevor Booker and Brook Lopez will start against the Hornets on Saturday.

The Nets will keep the NBA's newest sensation, Caris LeVert, on the bench. That's OK, though. Coach Kenny Atkinson likes LeVert a lot as a ball-handler, so he should be very busy in the second unit. As for Kilpatrick, he's been struggling lately, so maybe the day off helps him.
