John Henson had the game of his life on Tuesday during a 78-74 win over the Bulls with 25 points, 14 boards, two assists, three steals and six blocks in 41 minutes.

He shot 11-of-17 from the field and the Bulls had no answer for him inside the paint. Henson scored a season high and blocked six shots for the second time this year. The blocking outburst catapulted him to 2.23 blocks per game, which ranks him fourth in the NBA at just 27 minutes per game. He's having a breakout season and Larry Drew would seem like he has no choice but to give him consistent minutes even when Larry Sanders (thumb) comes back. Outside of some weak free throw shooting, Henson looks like a fantasy beast.

Russell Westbrook scored 38 points and hit a game-winning mid-range jumper with a couple seconds left in Monday's 97-95 win over the Jazz.

He's an absolute monster. Westbrook recorded his 22nd triple-double of the season with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, adding four steals, one block, three triples and six turnovers. He finished 11-of-29 from the field and 13-of-17 from the line, an incredible feat against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Per StatMuse, Westbrook now has the most 30-point triple-doubles (21) in the last 30 years over LeBron James (21) and Michael Jordan (16). Not bad for an All-Star reserve...

Dion Waiters hit the game-winning 3-pointer in Monday's 105-102 win over the Warriors, finishing with 33 points on 13-of-20 shooting.

He scored a season-high 33 points for the second game in a row with Tyler Johnson (shoulder) on the shelf, including 11 points in the final quarter. With just a few seconds left in regulation, Waiters pulled up over Klay Thompson for an incredible fadeaway triple (link below). He logged 33 minutes and added five rebounds, four assists, one steal and six triples, and with Johnson out the next two games, it now makes sense to add Waiters while he's rolling. He had a massive 30.3 usage rate tonight and the Heat play three more times this week, but just keep in mind that his FG percentage can be volatile and his value will take a sizable hit when the Heat get some bodies back.

Greg Monroe returned to form on Monday vs. the Rockets with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Monroe was held to single-digit points and minutes in the teens in his previous three outings, but he broke out of his slump tonight in a big way. He logged 27 minutes compared to 20 for starting center Miles Plumlee, finishing 7-of-13 from the field with one assist and three steals. "I thought Moose [Monroe] was great," Kidd said after the game. "I thought our bench was better today." Monroe has been all over the place this season with one of the most volatile roles in the league, but he's worth owning in standard leagues and could potentially benefit from a possible trade.
Jan 24 - 12:03 AM

Jabari Parker returned to the starting lineup in style in Monday's 127-114 win over the Rockets, scoring 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting.

Before the game, coach Jason Kidd said Parker was benched for the first quarter of Saturday's game for "basketball reasons," but a report by ESPN indicated that he was being punished for violating a team rule that prohibits disclosing locker room discourse to the media. Whatever the case, this is all behind Parker now and he was a stud on Monday, adding eight rebounds with seven assists, three steals, one block and two triples in 39 minutes. Expect another monster performance on Wednesday vs. a 76ers team that will be missing Joel Embiid (knee).

John Henson picked up a DNP-CD on Monday vs. the Rockets.

Henson was in good spirits on the bench, but this isn't the first time this has happened. The last time Henson was a DNP-CD on Nov. 25, he responded with his best game of the season with 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks on Nov. 27, so maybe coach Jason Kidd is trying to light a fire under him again. Miles Plumlee started and scored 10 points in 20 minutes, while Greg Monroe had 17 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in 27 minutes. Henson is only a stash in deeper leagues for now and it remains to be seen if he will be back in the rotation on Wednesday vs. the 76ers.
Jan 23 - 11:33 PM

Tyler Johnson will not travel with the Heat for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets or on Friday vs. the Bulls.

This is the same shoulder that Johnson had surgery on last season, so the Heat are taking the cautious approach. There's still no word if Johnson will get an MRI, but he said he doesn't think the injury is "major." Continue to stash Johnson if possible and expect Dion Waiters to keep picking up the slack in his absence.
Jan 23 - 11:28 PM

Monta Ellis sprained his right ankle in Monday's loss to the Knicks, finishing with six points on 1-of-6 shooting with three rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 24 minutes.

He should be considered questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Wolves, but we'll know more about his status after Tuesday's practice. Ellis hasn't been worth owning in standard leagues in weeks, so this doesn't have many fantasy implications. If Ellis misses time, C.J. Miles will get a decent bump and it's worth noting that he's now starting at SG.
Jan 23 - 11:21 PM

Jrue Holiday hit 12-of-19 shots, four 3-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws for a season-high 33 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and three blocks in 39 minutes.

Wow. The Cavs aren't great against opposing point guards and Holiday was in full effect tonight, scoring more than 23 points for the first time this season. We're still a little worried about him being rested down the stretch if the Pelicans are no longer flirting with the playoffs, but owners should plan on riding him until he breaks down at this point. Then again, if there was ever a time to sell high on Holiday, Tuesday will be the day.
Jan 23 - 11:19 PM

Terrence Jones started in place of Anthony Davis (quad) against the Cavs on Monday and went crazy, hitting 13-of-18 shots, 3-of-4 3-pointers and 7-of-10 free throws on his way to a career-high tying 36 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and three blocks in an impressive 124-122 win over LeBron and company.

Wow. TJ probably takes the title for most baffling fantasy player to own this season, as he bounces in and out of the starting lineup, while his fantasy lines are up and down like a yo-yo. He's scored nine or fewer points in two of his last five games, had 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on Friday, and then had the game of his life tonight against Kevin Love. With Davis banged up and his rich injury history, it's officially time to grab Jones and just hang on in hopes that he can permanently crack the starting lineup. But unfortunately, if he wasn't in your lineup tonight, you missed the biggest game he'll have this season, or probably ever. Jones also had a huge block against LeBron with the game on the line, capping off his epic night (video in the link).
Jan 23 - 11:14 PM

Kyrie Irving hit 15-of-28 shots, 8-of-14 3-pointers and 11-of-11 3-pointers for a season-high 49 points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in Monday's 124-122 loss to the Pelicans.

The 49 points were a season high for a Cavs' player, while Kyrie's career high is 54 points. This game was an offensive bonanza and Irving is hot, scoring at least 26 points in four of his last five games. He's starting for the East in the All-Star Game and after tonight's performance, it looks a little better on paper, although Kyle Lowry is still having the better season. The Cavs have lost five of their last seven games, which is hard to believe after Irving's 49, Kevin Love's big double-double, and LeBron James' triple-double tonight.
Jan 23 - 11:08 PM

LeBron James hit 11-of-21 shots and a 3-pointer for 26 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and six turnovers in 44 minutes of Monday's surprising loss to the Pelicans.

This was LeBron's fourth triple-double of the season, but this was a tough loss for his team, facing a New Orleans team that featured Anthony Davis in street clothes with a quad injury. The Cavs are reeling right now, losing five of their last seven games, and while they're probably not too worried about it, our guess is they've gotten the wake up call and will get hot again, starting on Wednesday against the Kings.
