Isaiah Thomas matched his season-high 29 points on Friday with six boards, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers on 11-of-20 from the field while making all four free throws.

He's cooking with gas and has been a supreme piece of the fantasy pie for his owners. In his previous two starts, Thomas averaged 22.0 points, 9.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.5 triples on 48.3 percent from the field. That's basically first-round value, so the sky's the limit as long as Rudy Gay doesn't mess with him too badly.

O.J. Mayo was terrific on the wing against the Bulls during a Game 4 win on Saturday, scoring 18 points with three rebounds, four assists, four steals and four 3-pointers on 6-of-11 from the field in 24 minutes.

He hit some clutch shots down the stretch and coach Jason Kidd continues to trust Mayo when it counts. That certainly wasn't the case with Larry Drew last year. He's obviously nowhere near being in the conversation for Most Improved Player, but Mayo's improvement from the disastrous 2013-14 campaign is worth noticing. Expect him to have a similar role with less efficiency in Game 5 on Monday.
Apr 25 - 9:05 PM

Arron Afflalo (shoulder) will start against the Grizzlies in Game 3 on Saturday.

He said on Friday that he's not 100 percent, but he has been able to go through practice. Afflalo hasn't played well whatsoever, so it should be interesting to see how tight of a leash coach Terry Stotts will have on him. Allen Crabbe will lose a ton of minutes while C.J. McCollum could lose a handful, too.
Apr 25 - 8:58 PM

Jimmy Butler was the best player on the court during a Game 4 92-90 loss to the Bucks on Saturday, scoring a playoff career-high 33 points with seven rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and five 3-pointers.

In four 2015 playoff games, he's set a new career high for scoring three times, which is crazy considering he played in 20 postseason games before last week. Butler made 12-of-17 from the field and was red hot in the third quarter, but the Bulls didn't lean on him nearly as much as they should have in the fourth. That may change in Game 4 on Monday. He's shaping up to be a top-20 pick in fantasy next season.
Apr 25 - 8:49 PM

Derrick Rose couldn't keep his momentum going on Saturday against the Bucks, making 5-of-13 from the field for 14 points with five rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block, two 3-pointers and eight turnovers.

He also turned the ball over on the Bulls' last possession and fell asleep on the last play of the game to give up an easy basket to Jerryd Bayless at the buzzer. Rose still had his explosion, but he was careless with his ball handling and shot selection. He didn't quite undo his progress coming from the 34-point game on Thursday, but this game was pretty bad. We'll see what happens on Monday at home.
Apr 25 - 8:29 PM

Jrue Holiday (leg) will try to play against the Warriors on Saturday.

He went through warmups and should be able to play minutes in the teens today. With Holiday active, there will be less playing time going to Norris Cole and Quincy Pondexter. Holiday is not a great fantasy option.
Apr 25 - 7:59 PM

Brook Lopez controlled the paint during a 91-83 Game 3 win over the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 22 points with 13 boards and two blocks in 42 minutes.

He was a little more traditional with his scoring and played in the post more than in the first two games. After only posting a usage rate of just 11.8 in Game 1, he's basically doubled it to 23.3 in the last two games. If the Nets are going to make this a six- or seven-game series, there will need to be more 20-10 games from Bro-Lo.
Apr 25 - 6:19 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic was fantastic on both ends against the Hawks on Saturday with 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

He guarded Kyle Korver and did a great job on him to keep Korver at just 1-of-8 from the field. Bogdanovic seemed to always have one eye on Korver and rarely helped on defense, which worked out nicely. As for the offensive side, he had a very nice array of catch-and-shoot makes to go with some isolation scores. It's obvious he's going to be a key part of the rotation with a usage rate close to 20 -- it was 18.4 today.
Apr 25 - 6:04 PM

Thaddeus Young looked reinvigorated during a 91-83 Game 3 win over the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers in 41 minutes.

He apologized for his poor play in Game 2 and his actions spoke much louder than those words. Young was very aggressive with the ball, which is the opposite of what happened Wednesday when he only had one shot attempt in the restricted area. Young set up much closer to the basket than usual, so expect that to continue. He's played at least 40 minutes in two of the three games in this series and should be around that amount going forward.
Apr 25 - 5:59 PM

DeMarre Carroll made 9-of-12 from the field for 22 points against the Nets on Saturday with six rebounds, one steal, three 3-pointers and four turnovers.

None of his teammates had an effective field goal percentage above 50.0 and Carroll was really the only reason the Hawks were able to get over 80 points today. Carroll only had two points on Wednesday, so expect him to be somewhere in between for Game 4 on Monday.
Apr 25 - 5:50 PM

Nikola Mirotic (knee) will play against the Bucks on Saturday.

He went through a warmup session and was moving around pretty well. This comes as a surprise because Mirotic didn't even run at practice on Friday. Since Derrick Rose has been back and Joakim Noah was active, most of Mirotic's minutes have been at small forward during the regular season, but he's shifted to the four more in the postseason. He'll take away some playing time from Tony Snell and Taj Gibson.
Apr 25 - 4:03 PM

Chandler Parsons (knee) was seen going through a light workout at practice on Saturday, though he remains out for the playoffs.

While there is no tear or structural damage to his right knee, he will have to undergo surgery and a timetable for his return will not be set until after the procedure. We will continue to track his progress closely, but it's encouraging to see him move around at practice. Richard Jefferson (calf) will likely continue to start if he is able to play, but Al-Farouq Aminu will likely be the primary beneficiary.
