Kings waive C Hamady Ndiaye.

He's played a grand total of two minutes over the last 12 games and the Kings had to waive him or else they would have needed to guarantee his contract. Ndiaye could wind up on an NBA team on a 10-day deal, but will likely end up in the D-League.
Jan 6 - 2:54 PM

Ricky Rubio (ankle) is hoping to take on contact in two weeks.

He was hoping to play around Christmas, but it doesn't sound like that's going to happen. Rubio will likely take at least a week to progress from practice to games. In other words, he's probably looking to return in January.
Dec 19 - 7:21 PM

Shawne Williams will start Friday vs. the Wizards, sending Justin Hamilton to the bench.

Williams has been struggling lately, but he's a more effective player than Justin Hamilton and it'll be interesting to see how he fares returning to the starting unit. Chris Bosh (calf) is without a timetable to return, and Josh McRoberts (knee) could be done for the season, so the opportunity is there for Williams. He's worth a speculative add, but he has a tough matchup tonight vs. Washington.
Dec 19 - 7:16 PM

Mario Chalmers will start at point guard on Friday night against the Wizards.

The move is a little overdue with Norris Cole not playing well. Chalmers is going to do a lot of work as a shooter as Dwyane Wade handles the ball, but his upside in treys and steals will make him worth owning in standard leagues.
Dec 19 - 7:16 PM

Mo Williams (back) will be available to play Friday vs. Boston.

Flip Saunders is going to limit him to 10-15 minutes tonight, so he shouldn't be viewed as a viable option in most leagues.
Dec 19 - 7:10 PM

Kawhi Leonard said he has a torn ligament in his right hand.

He is going to let the swelling go down first and the Spurs will come up with a plan after that. Players will fight through torn ligaments in their hands all the time and it has a lot to do with the location of the tear. He is still listed as day-to-day and his fantasy owners should consider him questionable for Saturday. Kyle Anderson is worth a look in deep leagues. We'll add updates as we receive them.
Dec 19 - 7:07 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play against the Grizzlies on Friday.

The Bulls have the deepest frontcourt in the NBA, so there is no need to bring Taj back too soon. He is close to a return and traveled with the team, but his owners should consider him questionable to play next week. Pau Gasol went off on Thursday while Nikola Mirotic was also superb.
Dec 19 - 6:33 PM

Nicolas Batum (wrist, knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

C.J McCollum, Dorell Wright, Allen Crabbe, and Will Barton will all step up to help fill the void with Batum sidelined, but none of these guys make for a great play in standard leagues. Portland plays again Saturday against the Pelicans, and we'll be considering Batum questionable for that one. Stay tuned.
Dec 19 - 6:32 PM

Coach Gregg Popovich said he will not rest his players on Friday against the Blazers.

Wow. This is shocking considering the Spurs played a triple-overtime game on Wednesday. We can probably assume there will be a handful of rested players on Saturday, though. Of course, Pop may change his mind, so Duncan isn't a 100 percent lead-pipe lock to play.
Dec 19 - 6:28 PM

Tony Allen (right corneal abrasion) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Bulls.

Quincy Pondexter will likely draw the start, while Vince Carter will see extended minutes off the bench. Carter logged 41 minutes during his last outing with Allen sidelined, and put up 18 points with five 3-pointers, he does however have a difficult matchup against the Bulls, so Carter remains a risky option in daily leagues.
Dec 19 - 6:26 PM

Paul Pierce (sore right toe) will start Friday vs. the Heat.

Otto Porter will head back to the bench, so those that made a speculative add of Porter can go ahead and send him back to the waiver wire. Pierce has a favorable matchup tonight vs. the Heat, and he could serve as a decent low-budget plug-and-play in daily leagues.
Dec 19 - 6:14 PM

Shabazz Muhammad will start at shooting guard against the Friday against the Celtics.

He is getting the ball a ton and was the primary weapon in the second unit. Muhammad is a ball-dominant player, but he does have 64.9 of his baskets coming off an assist. The scoring makes him worth a look in standard leagues and his owners should just hope he starts adding more stats.
